How is everyone. DD has a casting for Early Learning Centre on Fridayin Clapham ,anyone else going?

Sorry, bit of a newbie to this particular thread. My daughter had an interview with scallwaggs last year after sending in her photo. We couldn't make it due to personal circs and now their books are full - any ideas where else to try or is the wrong place to ask?

Girls > Im thinking shall I just cut my losses and leave BK? I mean he is now with IK and EB and I just cant seem to get on with BK anymore. They now are weeks wont accept his pics to change them so his pic is so out of date :( or do u think I should just stick with them?

Tink.....can you not drop them a polite email asking them if they can change the photo and if not why not? If I were you I would be inclined to sit pretty with them and then if they do get you a job you can cut your losses and run. At least you may get some of your money back!

I have emailed them and they just said its not good enough to swap... however elliott brown are using it for now until the photo shoot in the summer if we want to attend? I might just sit pretty like you said and see if anything happens.

tinkerbellchelle - i still don't get it why they refused to update your los pics.
i requested it few days ago, and my ds's latest pics are on the bk website now!

is this something to do with the quality of pics you sent them?

Im not sure, I think they said that the one they have is a better picture which it is cos a professional took it, but my concern is its becoming out of date.
I have a few we have taken of LO lately and see if they are any good. It is a clear photo with no background stuff etc so hopefully we can replace it with this one.

hi cyan thanks for the tammy girl info.i think if ive read it right you dont send a photo off with the application form.they dont want that until they have picked the finalists.so as perfumelady said might be a bit ao a long shot.

My dd is 6 and my youngest ds might also be suitable and he is 2.5 middle ds (4) i a little kooky, which I love, but doesn't make him mr photogenic!

Pic of dd is on my website homepage idontlikecrusts.co.uk but is pretty old - it is from the set that scallwaggs liked although she has now grown a lot and has become prettier. Not sure if they liked her minxiness, which is disappearing now as she matures.

Guess different 'looks' are wanted for different things though?

tink i have got it, the more i think about it, the more i think that is the reason they haven't changed photo.

hi nannyme very cute.my dd is with urban angels she is 9.they have a intake in may.also mot kids are surposed to be very good for your dd age group.i think the agencies are looking for children that are very photogenic and have a different look.hope this helps

Hi all,not heard back from casting,but i dont think she got it anyway.Have just signed dd2 with drama school agent,they currently have kids filming with renee zellweger and ewen mcgregor,some of the kids also shortlisted for other movies,hope something comes of it,but she not in spotlight so she will miss out on stuff

I had a random email today > back in dec when I was looking round for agencies I spoke to BGum and they said I could email pictures... well I heard nothing back and thought it was a no. Well just checked my email earlier and they have requested more pictures?? I dont know if I should just ignore it with just accepting ik & eb? Or email to explain we're now with other agencies?
Its a shame we didnt hear sooner, as I think I was told they are quite a good agency :)

Hi everyone! Went to the P&B shoot today, I am knackered, all I feel like is a glass of red wine (I know I'm not supposed but that doesn't mean I don't feel like it!!)... dh is bathing lo, she was soooo good everyone was really impressed (esp. me!), everything worked out nicely :)

Tink >> I terminated my contract with BK, thought it was nonsense to stay with them being with AK and IK... it's silly of them to keep an outdated photo of your ds, babies change too quickly, if they don't show their clients updated photos what are the chances he'll get any work?
