Hi

Has anyone applied recently to Rascals. I did a couple of weeks ago and still waiting. I don't want to make up my decision until I have heard from all I applied for.

Just reading up all you last nights chit chat - Its funny! Soemthing nice to wake up to as normally mornings is my most stressful time of the day with my children and the school runs!

totallyfloaty35 · 22/03/2006 09:08

LuxuryHolidays1 · 22/03/2006 09:37

Hi Tinkerbellechelle

have you got a number for Bubblegum as I haven't heard back yet? How long did it take for you to hear from them?

Thanks

tinkerbellchelle · 22/03/2006 09:44

The number I have is 01753 646348

I sent email application in dec and heard nothing till march.
When did u apply? Maybe try sending via snail mail? x

mykidsmum · 22/03/2006 09:48

Cimbom, nothing wrong with your posts from what I can see. Personally I am stepping away from this thread Patzy has turned it into a circus, I personally do not want to get involved in continually questioning other posters motives which SHE has done from day dot. The paranoia can be smelt a mile off, if others are naive enough to swallow all this shit then so be it.As far as I can see she knows far too much about BK to simply just have a child on their books and to imply that others are plants working for Inspired Kidz is just a way of trying to bring down another agency who so far have a good rep on here. I t seems funny that at a time that BK are being investigated we are constantly having their DTI etc shoved down our throats, is this a last ditch attempt to save their reputation?

I couldn't give a damn about advertising the agency i am with on here, the only reason I came on this thread was to share my experiences with others which may have been of benefit. Any good agencies reputation speaks for itself without all this malarky.Good luck to you all with your lo's modelling, I will be around on mn just not here xx

LuxuryHolidays1 · 22/03/2006 09:51

well i haven't been waiting that long literally a couple of weeks! i cant wait that long he he!

just heard kids london said no to my kids so a lot of the top ones have said no , yet some of the others have said yes. i am wondering if i shall hold on till may for ua and ts or just go with one that i have. i will give bubblegum a call as my friend is very happy with them although the sole rep thing is a bit of a pain as we were tied with Scallywags with that last year

tinkerbellchelle · 22/03/2006 09:51

mykidsmum :( its a shame that any of us feel that we'll get jumped on if we say a good thing about the agency our LO's are with!?

Good luck 2 your LO's modelling in the future x

tinkerbellchelle · 22/03/2006 09:53

good luck with BG, let us know what they say :)
sorry which agency is TS? Sorry I might be being thick LOL :)
Which ones do you have the choices of? x

LuxuryHolidays1 · 22/03/2006 10:00

Hi Tink sorry I meant Truly Scrumptious - I am still learning the coding!

Its between Scallywags again
sandra reynolds
Norrie Carr
childs Play (not sure as think they take loads of kids on their books)
Power Model Management (bit worried on this one )

Somewhere I read about an agent called NIT - yet not managed to find a website on them. suppose thats the same with Bubblegum. Its funny they don't have one and to tell you the truth if it weren't for my friend raving on about them I probably wouldn't have even known who they were.

Do you think you will go with Bubblegum or are you looking in between the agents like me?

tinkerbellchelle · 22/03/2006 10:05

I think Im almost 100% on yes to bubblegum :)

I dont really have any experience of the agencies mentioned but Im sure there will be some mummies who do :)

LO is with his nan today so a nice lazy day :)

mythumbelinas · 22/03/2006 10:19

Well said mykidsmum, but pls don't go .. we need some sane ones!!
It's good to have objective and personal experience postings on here for some guidance but at the end of the day, advice is just for the taking ..

LuxHols - sorry to hear about the KL rejection. I've mentioned before, that a friend of mine signed her ds to SW and got a few castings and a job in a relatively short time, but he misbehaved too much so she stopped it.
Also, been to Mothercare casting and lots of kids from TS there. HTH .. but go with how you feel not what we say :)
Every child's potential and marketablity is different .. one child's success with one agency does not guarantee anothers.
Sorry to state the obvious!

LuxuryHolidays1 · 22/03/2006 10:21

Tink - who did you have the choice of?

Nice to have a relaxing day. saying that my daughter is at nursery yet its all hectic here at moment. I work from home and we are moving Fri next week. My office is a garage conversion which needs to be dismantled prior to us moving so officially I am supposed to be stopping working for this weekend ready for our move. trying to sort everything out at once and everyone is trying to cram in booking their holidays with me prior to me moving as it will take a couple of weeks before my new phone lines are installed. plus this modelling disission is another on the list. they say moving and divorce are the most stressful things and i recon they are right about the moving.

My kids were unsettled with it all a couple of weeks ago aswell and played me up yet seem alright now, the joys of it all.

Will try bubblegum shortly - wish me luck

LuxuryHolidays1 · 22/03/2006 10:34

Hi Tink

Lucky I rang Bubblegum as she never received the emails yet I re sent them and she now has them, they are going to the panel on Tues so I should here after then. I wonder if they had originally spammed my email!

The lady was very nice and helpful at Bubblegum so glad I rang.

strawberrymilkshake · 22/03/2006 10:36

Morning everyone

Hope everone ok. I am so excited but am also needing advice, i have signed up with bk and have just got off the phone to mot who want my daughter to go up to there offices on thursday next week, has anybody been there or can anybody give me advice on what to dress my 9 year old dd in please please help lol

perfumelady · 22/03/2006 10:38

mykidsmum and mythumbelinas i totally agree with what you said, this who is the best thing is a never ending argument no one can take sound advice from one individual about the best agency because everybody has a differant experiance and at the end of the day it's just luck, you could be with half a dozen agencies , if your child doesn't fit the breif which in most cases is very spercific then thats it, no go. i think this whole game is just a lottery, i guess when choosing an agency make sure you pick one that you know gets work and then at least you know that you may be in with a chance.

even if cimbon is from an agency i would welcome advice from someone in the know.

totallyfloaty35 · 22/03/2006 10:44

Strawberry,my dd is with them, the interview is very informal they just go through modelling business, take a snap or two, wear something comfy and dont worry about it,they are nice, not sole agency and they dont pressure you to join

strawberrymilkshake · 22/03/2006 10:54

Thanks totallyfloaty35 is it true they dont want fees, have you had much work from them ?

strawberrymilkshake · 22/03/2006 10:54
