Hi Everyone,
Managed to get DS to his casting.....was the same one as yours Tink!
He had to sit on my knee and they asked me what time he slept, ate, how he was with other kids etc and then I had to bounce him like he was in a door bouncer....but to pretend he had eaten too much and couldn't bounce!!!!
Apparently this is a recast, as they can't decide what age baby to have!!!
Good luck Tink....will let you know if we hear anything - but I am not over hopeful for my little man, its difficult to tell what they are after!!!
On a positive note.....our agent said that they have been really busy with requests for babies recently!!! SO fingers crossed for some more jobs/castings in the pipeline!!!

Just thought of another question:

A while ago (I don't remember exactly when, sometime last year) I applied ds to Bizzykidz and they said they liked him and invited us in for an interview, which they said would come with an assesment fee of £25.

We didn't pursue it further at the time because I wasn't sure...

Now it seems that they don't do assessment interviews & fees anymore? I know their feedback online is mixed, I do think they are a reputable agency, just wondering what the procedure is now and when it changed?

7up · 17/03/2006 21:01

hi imagine, im not sure about BK, i thought they charged for the assessment and then charged over 100 to go on website or something. someone else hopefully will fill you in better soonSmile

Gumbee · 17/03/2006 21:06

Hi Imagine - My DD has been with BK for 18 months - I paid £80 but I think the charge is now £94 as it includes VAT, then there are no further charges to pay, child can be with agency until they are 17. Just need to update them beginning of month with new heights and photos if child has changed.

lanismum · 17/03/2006 21:08

imagine, hi Smile my dd was with bk and i paid 94 quid then some more for photos, but no assesment fee.

Imagine · 17/03/2006 21:11

Gumbee - How are you finding BK? Is your child getting work with them? Do they still want to meet up or do they take kids on straight from the photos on application?

Imagine · 17/03/2006 21:12

lanismum - thanks :) How are you finding BK?

lanismum · 17/03/2006 21:14

my dd isnt with them any more, but i always found them polite and really quick to respond to emails, got some lovely pics of dd too, but in the 8 months or so she was with them she didnt get any jobs/castings.

misdee · 17/03/2006 21:19

I got serenas pictures through the post! about 100 pics, they are fab. some are very cute. if i can resize them, then i will post one up on members profiles.

Imagine · 17/03/2006 21:19

lanismum - thanks for the insight. :) Is your dd with a different agency now?

lanismum · 17/03/2006 21:20

thats great misdee, thats a lot of pics! has peter seen them? bet he will be very proud, iv seen her pics and they are lovely.

Gumbee · 17/03/2006 21:21

Imagine - Only had 1 casting which was a year ago, i have heard though that age group of 2-3 seems to be quite slow, as casting directors etc. seem to think it's a difficult age to work with. As an agency I think they are ok, quick to respond to emails and to update photos, and although had no jobs so far will stick with them as nothing to lose and no more money to pay out. What age is your child?

lanismum · 17/03/2006 21:22

yep, shes with urban angels now, been on 1 casting but didnt get the job, and was offered another but wasnt a good enough walker.

Imagine · 17/03/2006 21:22

Gumbee - my ds is 3.5 yo. Thanks, the info is very helpful :)

misdee · 17/03/2006 21:22

they are all on disc and i forgot to take it with me today Blush will take it tomorrow.

Imagine · 17/03/2006 21:23

lanismum - congrats on getting with U/A, I really like their website & approach. how old is your dd?

lanismum · 17/03/2006 21:24
