Haven't read all of this but Cirenceseter, and the villages towards Lechlade: Hatherop (v good private school), Eastleach, Southrop etc. are lovely areas and I miss it dearly. V jealous of you if you end up there. Good Luck

WTGO - Good choice and when you find somewhere - welcome neighbour (almost) I'm not far from Corsham!!

Oi!!! Stop knocking Bridgy......lived there for nearly 20 years and I'm not a native. People here are really friendly - my kids can play out in our street and everybody looks out for everyone else. Admittedly I don't got out in the town centre on Thurs, Fri or Sat nights..... they're usually still hosing the blood of the walls at 9 the next morning... Wink

But it's OK basically and within reach of the Levels, Quantocks and Exmoor.

But if the OP has been convinced by all the prejudice Wink, I would recommend Taunton. Don't like anywhere much in N Somerset...I was brought up near WSM and hate, hate , hate it with a passion!!!! Went to school in Clevedon and feel the same about that. Bristol is a nice city but not too keen on anywhere on the outskirts. Depressing places.

Ideally I'd live in a village between Taunton and Bridgwater somewhere....westwards rather than East ...but I suppose you are more remote that way.

Kate
