I feel odd about it but I'm not sure why.

One thing that's been bugging me about books recently - including the mumsnet one - is the spelling of "realization" and words like it. Isn't the English spelling with an S??

The thing that I noticed, this is sad, is that on the back of the book it said that the Mumsnet team had given birth to seven children and then in the introduction it said six children with two on the way. So how many children do you have? (Sorry just noseyness).

Liked the reference to Malmomum's live birth too! That really was a Mumsnet moment!

Eight! But intro written before seventh was born and back cover written before eighth - and we didn't want to tempt fate

KMG - it arrived today! Excuse for ignoring daughter again 'Shhh, go and play in your room'

Soupdragon and sb34 - do you really want to know? Many words are optional -ize or -ise spelling. [Not all - for instance 'advertise' cannot be spelled advertize]. Oxford (who like to think they write the bible on this sort of stuff) will insist on -ize spellings. Other publishers vary. But spelling should be consistent within a book.

JoAnne27, Cathncait and Ghosty (and all our other far flung mumsnetters) we can now send you a mumsnet book anywhere in the world (P&P £2.75) so order away!
Hope you like it, Justine
