Toothy, not a nice thing to do bringing it up into active convos, are you bored?

Toothache · 10/01/2006 13:31

But since she keeps asking if we want to know what she earns.... and seems to itching to tell us.... I want to know now!!

hunkermunker · 10/01/2006 13:32

Still don't really get this whole scenario. Seems very strange.

NomDePlume · 10/01/2006 13:32

i couldnlt care less, but can't stay away [ashamed emoticon]

Toothache · 10/01/2006 13:34

Rhubarb - Eh??? All I did was post on a thread that everyone else is talking about!! FFS I wasn't maliciously bringing it up! Am I not allowed 'in on it'? Is it a secret?
I can post where I like.... I missed it when you lot were posting on it, pardon me for not being online when you lot read it!

I hate being given a row for posting on a thread. Need I emphasise the PUBLIC in Public Forum again?

What the fuck has happened to MN today?

hunkermunker · 10/01/2006 13:36

I seem to have had rows two days in a row on here

Honestly, all you do is try to clarify what everyone's asking and you get told to fuck off

Toothache · 10/01/2006 13:37

Hunker - I've been 'scolded' twice today and called a Twit! My wrists are feeling well and trully slapped!

nutcracker · 10/01/2006 13:38

Carla, I posted on the original thread, and from what I recall I wasn't at all nasty or bitchy. I did mention that £1200 is alot of money for someone to have to spend depending on what they had to buy with it.

I for one was just so utterly confused by the whole thread.

I agree that if you are used to having alot more money a month than that, and your dh can afford for you to have more money than that, that he is being very unreasonable and controlling.

Thing is, if you had explained a bit more at the start and answered questions (i don't mean the show us you bc bill one) then it wouldn't have kicked off, because without us knowing what you normally have, how could we say if it was wrong of him or not ?

melrose · 10/01/2006 13:40

NDP, I am the same, have got no work done this morning

Rhubarb · 10/01/2006 13:43

Toothy, I didn't post on the original thread. It just seemed (correct me if I'm wrong) that you posted on there to shift the conversation up into active convos for the benefit of those asking about the original conversation.

You may certainly post where you like! I just asked if you were bored! I do not agree with Carla at all, but I don't like to see someone being pummelled into the ground by a crowd whilst others stand on the sidelines jeering. I think she all knows what you think of her by now and she's doing the right thing by not posting back. I asked her to be understanding of other peoples situations on MN and I'll now ask you to be understanding towards her. I know it provided amusement for everyone and it was very funny in places, but she was getting very upset by it all and there is a time when a joke becomes a bit too vitriolic.

oliveoil · 10/01/2006 13:44

I lost the will to live half way through so will remain in blissful ignorance.

LadySherlock - I am a bit fed up tbh. There are NO direct flights from Mcr (that I can find) only via London (boo hissss) or a stop off in Italy. I may have to start a thread moaning about winning a competition............................

mummytosteven · 10/01/2006 13:48

/hijack for OO
congrats on the competition
have you tried looking at flights to Italy from Liverpool with Ryanair?

oliveoil · 10/01/2006 13:51
merryberry · 10/01/2006 13:51

/OO is that the place down in puglia? I've been close by, stopping in italy and taking the train down. it was a delight that italian train, really friendly, fast clean. not like schlepping on english ones.

merryberry · 10/01/2006 13:52

nari, yes that was me. enjoy, congratulations!

mummytosteven · 10/01/2006 13:52

lol i was also going to say that Italian trains are surprisingly cheap and nice!

oliveoil · 10/01/2006 13:52

I will start my own thread and await the 'GOD CAN YOU BELIEVE THIS UNGRATEFUL COW' comments.

xx

merryberry · 10/01/2006 13:52

sigh Bari I meant

Toothache · 10/01/2006 13:52

Well I don't need to correct you again Rhubarb... I did that in my original post. If I'd just wanted to 'bump' the thread I would have posted 'bump'. But I had an opinion. And I asked for a link to the original thread coz I wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I didn't realise the thread and the issue had had its full quota of MN opinions!

HMPH!

merryberry · 10/01/2006 13:53

you see the sea on one side and the funny little trullo round houses on the other. cool.

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 10/01/2006 13:54

Just had to laugh at toothache getting her wrist slapped and being called a twit - bless you! (sorry innappropriate to laugh but I can think of anyone less twit like )

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 10/01/2006 13:54

should say cant

Toothache · 10/01/2006 13:55
Grin
Rhubarb · 10/01/2006 13:56

cant? Is that a new swear word?
Poor Toothy! Sorry mate! But I am right on the bored bit aren't I?

beejay · 10/01/2006 13:56

I liked the twit bit too. Twit such a funny word. So much better than twat.
