Bought Jessicaandrebeccasmummy's Marco Sky a few months ago now. When it arrived the moukded plastic on the back wheel was snapped so we can't use it.... I emailed 2Became4 where the pram originally came from and they were brill and said that if I could supply the name and address of the original buyer they would send out a new set of wheels to me, which they did.... after a couple of weeks we managed to get the wheel off (had a funny fastening) and realised that the new wheels didn't fit because they are for the newer model.
After a few more weeks of correspondance the girl at 2Became4 is still trying to find me a set of wheels but now says that the warehouse is unlikely to have the older style and she may only have an old set on an old used pram. She also said that as the original buyer bought from Ebay it isn't actually 2became4 (even though it is actually from there originally) because they don't have a shop on Ebay

DP is getting more and more wound up about it and is starting to tell me to send it back - obviously I don't want to put JARM in that position but I don't know what to do.......can anyone help???

Hiya Lockets, I spoke to Xena and she gave me her details to give 2Became4 but they couldn't find her so I emailed her sister as she's not online just now and she said that Xena bought it from their ebay shop. I mailed 2Became4 and they said they haven't got an ebay shop. They have been brill though because they still sent me new wheels free of charge - problem is they fit on upside down to the way the original wheels went...so frustrating!! I bought it from JARM for about 80.00 I think but I made dp buy it for me so he's the one getting stroppy

I'm not sure - hopefully JARM will know - I think she sent it by courier.

I've just searched the company on Ebay that 2became4 suggested but there's none of that name.

You'd think they would eh??!

Just got a horrible feeling that it's going to be too late to claim on any postage/courier insurance

does xena know the original sellers name? Although to be honest if it has been a long time since it was bought then i dont know what they could do.
Parcel should be covered if by courier depending on if still have the courier note etc I would assume???

Nemo1977 · 07/01/2006 13:32

sorry just realised my post was pretty pointless

zephyrcat · 07/01/2006 13:40

Xena bought it last May she thinks so I had hoped with 2Became4 that it might be covered by some kind of warranty/guarantee but I guess if it was bought by another 'company' first there's no telling how long ago that might have been....

Worth a shot though!

munz · 07/01/2006 13:44

have u contacted the manufacture it should have a 12 month warrenty from them?

zephyrcat · 07/01/2006 13:52

I can't find any sort of official website/contact for 'Marco Sky'

OP posts:
munz · 07/01/2006 15:43

isn't that a graco one?

SoupDragon · 07/01/2006 15:45

I thought that the original warrenty/guarantee was only valid for the original purchase though? Certainly your contract is only with the person who sold it to you

ok then, I assumed it would be valid still as long as it was under a year old . wonder who makes it then?

keep bumping for J&RM anyways!

SoupDragon · 07/01/2006 15:49

I assume that "marco" is the manufacturer as that's what's emblazoned on the front in the picturesI've seem.

starlover · 07/01/2006 16:02

zephyrcat... how annoying for you! hope jarm turns up soon.

in the meantime... if you have xena's sister's e-mail, can you not ask for xena's phone number? or pass yours onto her? that way you could have a chat with her and find out exactly who she bought it from.
if it was an ebay shop, then you (or she) technically have the same statutory rights as you would had you bought from a regular shop iyswim?
it all depends how the wheel has broken though... if it was damaged in transit then your best bet is to claim through the courier company.
I don't think the original people who sold it have to do anything if it has suffered accidental damage
