Bought Jessicaandrebeccasmummy's Marco Sky a few months ago now. When it arrived the moukded plastic on the back wheel was snapped so we can't use it.... I emailed 2Became4 where the pram originally came from and they were brill and said that if I could supply the name and address of the original buyer they would send out a new set of wheels to me, which they did.... after a couple of weeks we managed to get the wheel off (had a funny fastening) and realised that the new wheels didn't fit because they are for the newer model.
After a few more weeks of correspondance the girl at 2Became4 is still trying to find me a set of wheels but now says that the warehouse is unlikely to have the older style and she may only have an old set on an old used pram. She also said that as the original buyer bought from Ebay it isn't actually 2became4 (even though it is actually from there originally) because they don't have a shop on Ebay

DP is getting more and more wound up about it and is starting to tell me to send it back - obviously I don't want to put JARM in that position but I don't know what to do.......can anyone help???

Right, have found out now that it doesnt even have to be Marco Sky wheels. Any wheels the same size as the marco ones will fit it fine, as long as both back wheels are replaced obviously.

THat should make things a lot easier?!

Hi guys - sorry had to go get the shopping! Never thought of trying a buggy repair shop...definately worth a go though....for some reason I guess I assumed that they weren't easy to come by as it's the older model and that's why 2B4 can't find them.
Lockets don't worry - if I can find the wheels I'll get them...it's not anyones fault so I don't mind sorting it if I can

Have seen odd pushchair wheels in a diy store - might be worth a look !

zephyrcat · 07/01/2006 19:08

It's not just the wheel though it's the whole of the arm as well that joins it to the middle bar... if that makes sense??!!

hi again zephyr. I'm pretty sure that whoever services it will be able to sort it. If you lived round here I'd send you to my lovely chap who fixed the suspension on my big pram. He's a bloody marvel. Anyway, try not to worry until you've spoken to the repairers.

LIZS · 07/01/2006 20:42

Not sure if this is any help but here is the manufacturer's website based in Austria.

zephyrcat · 07/01/2006 20:50

Ooh excellent thanks for that lizs

still worth claiming though, if it was damaged in transit... after all, you paid a lot for it...

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 07/01/2006 22:35

I have FINALLY been able to find the info on POSTVAN.COM about claims for damages....

This is what it says....

"Goods damaged in transit must be reported to us within 48 hours in writing with the full consignment and/or parcel number of the relevant parcel. This is very important and failure to do this will void any claim"

Im really sorry Zeph, but this is not looking good. I really reccomend you contact a buggy servicer and see if they can help. Sorry.

zephyrcat · 09/01/2006 11:02

I would imagine that parcel force will be pretty much the same...

J&RM where did you see that they don't have to be marco sky wheels?

I was talknig to Mars, the buggy repair place she uses told her.

As long as they are the same size, they will be fine.

hi Zephyr.

Do you have a buggy repair shop nearby? I took my gorgeous gorgeous lovely Marco in for a service just before Christmas. He tightened the wheels for me and suggested that I let him replace them in a few months.

He thinks that it is a simple job and he knows what size wheels to order. He said it shouldn't cost much.

I'm a great believer in taking buggies in for a service. They last so much longer that way.

hth

zephyrcat · 09/01/2006 12:07

Thanks Mars

I did see but thought you meant he replaced them with Marco Sky wheels [dim pg brain emoticon]

Hi guys I got an email grom Xena saying that when she bought it from ebay it was from 2became4 ebay shop. 2became4 say they didn't have one lol Haven't heard from the girl at 2became4 about finding anymore wheels or not - although she never usually gets back to me til I email/ring her twice!

Sent an email to the Little Angels pram shop enquiring about wheels but they are in the middle of moving premises so haven't heard back yet - will have to find a time when dp can maybe get us to their shop or similar to check out what they can/can't do with it.....

Will get there in the end!!!

OP posts:
LIZS · 18/01/2006 20:56

Have you tried the manufacturer for a suggestion as to who could repair it locally ?

starlover · 18/01/2006 20:56

zephyr... whereabouts are you?

starlover · 18/01/2006 20:58

here are all the marco sky authorised retailers.
if there is one near you they may be able to help

MarsOnLife · 18/01/2006 21:06

Not due to see him, but can probably put in a call. I don't know why they are finding it so difficult. It's not as if they are special wheels. They are just bog standard buggy wheels. I do think that you should take it in and ask them to look at it.

zephyrcat · 18/01/2006 21:10

I'm in Southampton.

I don't get it either Mars - it's not just a case of taking the wheel off though it's the whole 'arm'. Seems that as soon as I say Marco Sky they all run away!!

Haven't heard back from 2Became4 for the last week or 2 now either.

OP posts:
MarsOnLife · 18/01/2006 21:12

ok... don't say Marco Sky, just go in with the buggy.

If you were near me I'd send you to my buggy man. Will try to call him tomorrow and ask what size wheels etc.
