SNOWaMANda · 04/12/2005 11:30

Yes, after the worst 6 months of my life. I have a proper date with a man. Yep, I'm excited!

Met him last night at my neighbours and he texted this morning after asking them for my number!

I. HAVE. A. DATE!

Merry Christmas eh?

welshboris · 04/12/2005 11:42

well done, if you dont mind me asking, how old are your LO/LOs? Ive just started seeing someone and my LO is 14 months

SNOWaMANda · 04/12/2005 11:48

My dd is 6 but blissfully unaware of my excitement. I had a 2 year relationship end in June this year and have had a rough time since then. It's just nice for someone to show interest and stuff. When I started seeing my most recent ex - he and I were together about 6 months before I introduced him to dd.

Roll on next Saturday! What am I going to wear??!!!

Something classy but not tarty ooohhhh go shopping

SNOWaMANda · 04/12/2005 11:55

Ohhh, if only I had money to go shopping! We're going for dinner - somewhere nice - so I need to make an effort!

And to think I've got all week to get worked up over it - I'm going to be unbearable by Friday!

New Look do glittery stuff cheap

Bu66er the new clothes, just enjoy and be treated nice

weesaidie · 04/12/2005 12:01

Oh! Very exciting.

Whats he like then?

SNOWaMANda · 04/12/2005 12:05

First impressions are good!

He is funny, good looking, gainfully employed, has 2 kids (is divorced) and seems, well, nice!

I'm just a bit shocked that he asked me out as he seems, well, out of my league as it were! But he's friends of my neighbours and they're good people so I'm hoping it goes well!

It would be cool if this year could end on a high after everything I've been through.

Well he sounds lovely... it is always exciting when you meet someone new!

SNOWaMANda · 04/12/2005 12:14

Here's hoping he actually is lovely! I know it's just a date but I'm just so excited!

OP posts:
weesaidie · 04/12/2005 12:20

Again..

SNOWaMANda · 05/12/2005 11:23

And I'm still excited!

Have bought new shoes today to go with new skirt. Well, it's not new but I've just not had occasion to wear it.

Spoke to him last night and he's just sooooo nice. Keep wondering where or what the catch is.

When is your date?

SNOWaMANda · 05/12/2005 11:30

Not till Saturday - so just imagine how much more excited/nervous I'll be by then! It's been a tres long time since I've been on a date!

CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 07/12/2005 10:36

Just seen this thread, sorry I missed it before! I don't know how you do it, I really don't! Wishing you all the very best for Saturday!

SNOWaMANda · 07/12/2005 10:44

Do what??!

I'm looking forward to getting out of the house and being treated with a bit of respect by someone who seems like a nice bloke. Surely that's a good thing, non?

OP posts:
CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 07/12/2005 10:47

Oui! Bien sûr! I can only assume though that you must have a wonderful sparkling personality as well as being incredibly attractive to get 2 dates in as many months! You lucky thing!

SNOWaMANda · 07/12/2005 10:50

It's personality - it can't be anything else.

Anyway, it's just a meal (I got to pick where) and knowing my luck nothing further will come of it.

Think we can do the 18th now, btw. Will email you!

Smile
SNOWaMANda · 07/12/2005 10:54

Seriously though, what am I gonna wear?

Skirt with boots and little top or just jeans and nice going out top with heels? Feeling very unconfident with relation to my weight at the moment.

HELP!

OP posts:
CliffRichardSucksEggsinHell · 07/12/2005 10:58

Ok, don't do heels with jeans, that's what prozzies wear!
Depending on where you are going, if just to a pub restaurant then I would wear jeans, boots and a nice top.
If a proper restaurant, then I would wear a below the knee skirt with a fitted top and heels.

SNOWaMANda · 07/12/2005 11:00

When I say heels, I just mean my boots, not sparkly heels! I'm no prozzie!

Nice restaurant so have the perfect skirt and will possibly treat myself to some new heels. Have black top to go with skirt that is lovely.

heels with jeans are cool, as long as you wear a nice top and not just a teeshirt

have you got a nice pair of wedges? i love wedges with jeans

congratulations amanda hope you have a great time!

SNOWaMANda · 07/12/2005 11:01

Oh and is 18th with or without kids?
