I have just signed up for the Playtex Moonwalk 2006. Anyone else fancy joining me?

I'm interested. There was talk about it at the London xmas meet-up last saturday and there was definate interest. Any chance you could post the link to the web site where you sign in?

I did the half-moon last year and it was fantasticgreat atmosphere. I can't do it this time aroundhope everyone has as much fun as I did last year!

Can you apply online, or do you have to download and print off application form?

Yes, glad I've seen this. I'm up for it. Mars is only just back on line but I'll point her towards this when she's around.

So, are we planning on doing the full one or the half one? Should we try to enter as a team?

That's what I was thinking too, I guess you have to print and post as (a) you need to send a cheque and (b) you have to sign otherwise they say they will send it back.

My problem is I don't have a working printer at the mo. Also want to know there are a few people definately doing it before I commit.

We're planning on doing the full on.

Also... when you apply and the form asks which time you think you will finish in TICK THE FASTEST TIME BOX otherwise you'll not get across the start line for over an hour.

So... cadders etc... are we doing this?

Of those of you thinking about it do any of you do much walking/power-walking? I originally thought its just a sponsored walk, but looking at the website it seems real training etc is required.

You need to train Chicago. Start now with a couple of miles every few days and slowly build up.

There's a training schedule that you can follow. It's definitely worth it. Also, go to one of those specialist trainer shops and invest in trainers for walking. They will sort the ones that suit your feet and style of walking best. Well worth it.

the online one seems to be for volunteers for the playtex walk, not walkers...
so guess will have to try and apply via snail mail.

okay... the online booking is FULL so, download the application and get it in the post TONIGHT if you can or first thing tomorrow... and no being stingy with the stamp. lol
