Hate Tesco online delivery - their pick and packers must be on drugs. We have had

Cat Food as a substitute for toilet roll

sprouts as a sub for fabric conditioner

I'm with the Tesco don't need my money brigade.

Have just fallen out with Tesco again (for the last time - will never shop there again). I LOVE ocado - the quality is vastly better imho but hate their prices - having said that, I just buy less and don't get seduced by offers cos they have so few. And when I use Ocado I can actually count on everything being fresh enoush to last over the next sevreral days, whereas with tesco we often had to eat evrything over 2 days or chuck it cos it was barely in date, or of v poor quality anyway (I'm talking WET asparagus, shrivelled carrots, brown cauli etc - ugh).

Our Safeway/Morrisons is opening as a Waitrose next week.

I can't tell you how ridiculously excited about this we all are.

theres a Waitrose in Abingdon acnebride

ks, you have to pick Christmas deliveries from the groupings of slots and as cod says, then park a trolley-load of stuff there to keep the slot.
Mine is evolving towards its 23rd December delivery status...
If you are pressed for time, stick four bottles of bubbly in it to take yourself over the magic £75 and come back later.
What clinches it for me with Ocado is the local factor. Some people clearly get on OK with Tescos but our local delivery service from them is truly atrocious, as is our Sainsburys Sod You. We've tried both and it's so bad it's like having your shopping thrown at you, what there is of it.
Ocado aren't perfect but I do have a major ethics problem with Tescos in general. We're lucky enough to be able to afford the debated "extra" costs of Waitrose produce and groceries to account for the fact that they source regionally, then nationally, treat their suppliers decently and rack up the profits on fair trade less than any other supermarket. We get houseware bogoffs from our local Co-op and would shop there more if it also wasn't rubbish.
Since I heard about the grape producers I decided to boycott Tescos I feel it is the last straw with them. I hate them too.

Oh, you are beyond the Ocado Pale, for some reason. Are you not seeing an extra option for Xmas deliveries then madame?

Crack open the old Firefox. Any difference?
Surely Netscape would not be so pointedly mean?

Go to book a delivery slot (I am also in Explorer)

Under Choose a Delivery date range you should be seeing

  • Next five days
  • Weds 9th - Sunday 13th Nov
  • Mon 14th - Thurs Nov 24th
  • Christmas Deliveries

If you are feeling super-trusting mail me your account details and I will try bwahahahahaha...

Or could it be that down amongst the Landed Tablecloth Owners people have already bagged all the slots? Not a problem in the darkest burbs I guess.

flashingnose · 03/11/2005 14:11

Me neither ks. Maybe it's only a London thing at the moment.

Or maybe Marina spends more money than us .

Aw girls, I am sure it is because the population density of London and the likely numerical load of Christmas deliveries means they roll them out earlier inside the M25.
I don't think I am an Ocado High Roller, we don't get the calibre of free gifties occasionally referred to on Mn...
