Tantrums, I thought we were over them but DS threw a biggie the other day, so you never know.
Hi Penthe, glad you survived your blouse fire, scary!

I have to admit I thought immediatey of you lot the other day, I was waiting at my super figo shoulder surgeon's office the other day and "admiring" someone's 3 inch high Hogans, when another woman with an identical pair wandered in, hee hee.

Sorry for being so absent lately, I've had no time at all to MN during the day lately.

We went to talk to the school where DS will be going today (DD's school), it was quite reassuring, they're willing to collaborate with everyone already working with him so that's good.

Bucharest · 09/04/2011 07:44

help needed!

Bucharest · 09/04/2011 07:45

and another!

Rosa · 09/04/2011 13:00

Good news Sput - hope it all works out. Minirosa has pushed me to the limit today and I am hoping that after her nap she will become nice again as I can't do any more tantrums .....
I have ordered a pair of copy Hogans at Bata ...My feet are too big now for standard shoes so I need to order them or stock up when I am in the UK. Family trait of feet growing a size with childbirth.....I hope they fit as my shoes are really on their last legs...
Summer here and how !!!!

Francagoestohollywood · 10/04/2011 21:58

Oh yo Sputnik, we miss you Smile. Is your shoulder surgeon figo then? I am partial to handsome doctors, the camice thing, you know...

Rosa, I hope minirosa woke in a better mood and you had a lovely weekend.

Yesterday we went to Liguria at some friend's, but it was chilly compared to the 30 degrees in Milan. We had a lovely time anyway, the children really enjoyed themselves and Liguria is marvellous at this time of the year with all the trees in bloom etc. Today we left early as ds had a football match, and the sun appeared while we were just leaving!

Sputnik · 11/04/2011 10:17

Well the surgeon is not really figo, but thinks he is, and his office is floor to ceiling with photos of famous sports stars he treated. I am off there now actually. They process you in minimum time possible, like a shoulder factory.
I am kind of enjoying the physiotherapy though. Apart from the excruciating pain it's rather relaxing.
Right, better roll on out...

Francagoestohollywood · 11/04/2011 12:24

Ah shame. I like a medico figo Grin

Physiotherapy is great, isn't it. So do you think you are making progress with the shoulder?

Francagoestohollywood · 11/04/2011 12:25

ahahahahah I am watching Littizzetto Grin

Sputnik · 11/04/2011 15:12

Yes making progress but it's painful and expensive!
Can't stand doctors myself.

Francagoestohollywood · 11/04/2011 19:51

Oh I have a petit bourgeois thing for doctors... or maybe it is just a dr Doug Ross syndrome Grin

Sputnik · 11/04/2011 21:29

Sorry but that's just one category that does nothing for me whatsoever!
Hogan watch again today in the waiting room.

Francagoestohollywood · 11/04/2011 21:50

Hogans are everywhere, they are invading the planet, help!

Rosa · 12/04/2011 12:46

Tee hee at the HOgans I have found myself Hogan spotting as well!!
We have a cake sale on Fri at school and I have discovered that my oven is hotter than thought as I burnt / dried out 1st load of cupcakes that were going in teh freezer to be decorated on Thurs..... Arrgghhh. Can't do anymore whilst MR is asleep as my Kenwood mixer is 40 yrs old ( no joke) and makes a racket ...It is a wonderful bit of equipment though!

Francagoestohollywood · 12/04/2011 13:05

Envy at your kenwood.
I am making ragù!

Sputnik · 12/04/2011 21:30

Yes once you start noticing them they are everywhere. I blame you lot!
I have just finished tidying the house now. Well not finished but it doesn't look like burglars have been anymore. DS is doing his week of ABA and I have 0 time for anything, che palle.
Plus, our f-ing vacuum cleaner broke. It's a year old ffs.
Hooray for your Kenwood, onc upon a time they built stuff to last.

BananaGio · 13/04/2011 06:13

also Envy at your Kenwood.
Our dishwasher has had it I think-the catch at the top is buggered meaning the door crashes open mid cycle. So at the moment we are using it propped closed by a dining chair Hmm. May see how long I can bear that for and wait for sales. If anyone knows a good website to order a cheap dishwasher on let me know!
DP talking to padrone of that house in Follonica this eve so hopefully we will be sorted......
Parents out on Sat hurray! Cant wait. Just seen Pippi's photos on fb and am now very tempted to take them to Perugia! Looks wonderful.
Glad shoulders improving Sput and you are enjoying your painful time out!

I have already had the technician out to repair my washing machine (3 yrs old), and it was one of those bloody lava e smacchia sachet that got trapped in a tubo. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

DD is at home today, as she is knackered. She is watching Lady and the tramp, lots of memories of the dc watching it when they were tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiny... boo hoo....(soppy)

Francagoestohollywood · 13/04/2011 10:45

Ah rosa, we want to see pics of your new flat!

Sputnik · 14/04/2011 20:11

Gio take a look at the unieuro site, we shoped around a lot and ended up getting most of our appliances there, they do sconti all the time up to 30% off. Mind you that's where I got the vacuum cleaner from...

Francagoestohollywood · 14/04/2011 20:58

I bought the washing machine at Darty and they also come with a 3 yr assistance for free. The w.m. was discounted by 100 euros I think, and they were really efficient.

Rosa · 16/04/2011 18:47

We have a Darty opening somewhere near here soon I believe.. I have heard only good things. But it is worth looking round for prices also look on teh forums for goods and bad makes. Meile is my ideal but they are $$$.
Have been mega busy last few days. Went to Gardaland on Wed - great day out loved by all...Went with dd1 school friend and her dad. SO Dads went on a few of the big rides and I had 3 to supervise on the smaller ones. Not many queues and weather was good. Then Fri had cake sale at school so was cooking like mad as well as rushing round like a loony . Plumber came and burst a pipe so had no water when minirosa should have been eating - Thank heavens for the water filter and the kettle!
Sale on Friday went very well and we raised Eu600 for outside toys for dd asilo. MOn we have an Easter egg hunt so more running round and I still haven't decided on Pasquettas menu .... What else would you put in a Asparagus lasagne? NOt risking a risotto as the dd's like mine but dd doesn't like Nonnas so not a good sign ( maybe as I don't put salt in as I put in parmesan...)
Hope you are all having a good weekend.
I might be needing moral support next week as its going to be an interesting one I think......

Francagoestohollywood · 16/04/2011 21:27

Oh wow rosa, you have been busy! I really need to start thinking of taking the children to Gardaland (especially because I'd like to go on big rides).
And well done for the cake sale! Excellent.
No worries, I'll probably be around for support, as we haven't really decided what to do for Easter, I am now regretting we haven't booked to go to the UK, damn!
I am sure they will love your pasquetta lunch.

We went to see the new Moretti's movie yesterday night and we love it.

Rosa · 17/04/2011 12:55

Some of the big rides minumum 120cm but lots of 110cm ones ...DD is actually 109 but she never had any problems.....Go mid week if you can its worth it !

Francagoestohollywood · 18/04/2011 09:48

I can't go mid week when it's term time, unfortunately.

Rosa · 19/04/2011 13:24

Summer here temps have gone back up again !..Ok decided on menu I think. DOing fillet of pork rolled in curry and lemon and served with mustard sauce....... Pasta probably lasagne with asparagus and starters lots of bits ...
