MSF are pretty good I think, or red cross.
Welcome back Franca, glad you had a good time.
I was looking forward to a little child freedom this week, but no, DS still isn't over his cold, had a temp again and a dodgy looking ear. Looking better today so fingers crossed no infection.

Francagoestohollywood · 14/03/2011 22:31

Yo Sput, sorry to hear master sputnik is still unwell.

Sputnik · 14/03/2011 22:38

No badly really. But enough to keep him off nursery and enough that he gets tired and, ahem, emotional!

Francagoestohollywood · 15/03/2011 11:52

Oh dear! Mine get immensely bored after a few days at home, and a bit demanding...

It is raining here, again! And ds has gone in gita to the Archeopark near Bergamo Hmm, which reminds me of when in the UK he went with his reception class to visit an organic farm (I went along), it was June and pouring, we came back completely drenched Grin.

On a positive note, he's done really well in the verifiche of this second trimester, and was in an excellent mood.

Rosa · 15/03/2011 12:52

Thats good Franca well done as you had some doubts!.
More colds I know I was teaching this am and 5 out of the 13 were not there and it seemed like the rest all had runny noses. DD has lots of catarrah first thing and then seems clear. Its damp , sort of foggy and foul here!
Sput hope the ear stays uninfected.... Nasty when they blow up.
I have donated to Shelterbox and the international red cross....

Francagoestohollywood · 15/03/2011 13:20

Cavoli, that's quite a lot of assenti, no? Seems like this winter never ends.

Sputnik · 15/03/2011 15:40

Well having 1 at home is not nearly as bad as 2, which is what I had last week. Anyway, he is back tomorrow.
Hate to tell you this but it was 20° here today!

Francagoestohollywood · 15/03/2011 16:34

Envy!!!!

Penthesileia · 15/03/2011 16:59

Ciao belle. Long time no see. Sorry I've been AWOL. MN was getting a bit much for me, so I quit for a while, then came back and lurked, and have posted a few times this year. So thought I'd better drop in just in case you ladies scold me for not coming back!

Been busy with work, DH had a bit of a health scare (all well now), the house is still not finished (and if DH and I manage to get to the end of this project without murdering each other, it will be a miracle...). Money painfully tight because of said house, so all in all, un po stressata...

DD is super at the moment. Very chatty and funny, if not a little stroppy and madame-y...

Sorry to hear about your shoulder, Sputnik; and all the various illnesses of the little Little Italians. Hope all feel well soon.

Franca, I too have been feeling low - cyclical depression, I think. Clearly a spell in the mountains is what I need too: Heidi-like!

Francagoestohollywood · 15/03/2011 17:07

Lol Penthe, we won't scold you! Grin

It is great to hear from you again!!!

Francagoestohollywood · 15/03/2011 17:10

Sorry to hear you are feeling stressata and a bit low.
A bit of sunshine did wonders for me. It does help you getting into a Heidi mood...

Rosa · 15/03/2011 19:05

Hi Penthe... Nice to see you again sorry about all your worries and stresses do come back again soon !
Glad your Dh is on the brighter side hope he contues.
20 deg ...Mmmmm it wasn't that here its so damp and drizzley here! Rain forecats until Sunday Yahoooooo

Sputnik · 15/03/2011 20:33

Hi Penthe! Sorry you've been having a rough time, yes sressata tell me about it! I drove past your house this summer, first time in that neck of the woods for years. You are mad brave! it will be fab though.

BananaGio · 15/03/2011 20:51

nice to see you back Penthe. Glad DH ok now. Sounds like you need a break, are you going to manage a holiday this year with the house project still ongoing.
Franca saw your pic of the snow on fb-looks lovely. Am in need of a weekend fuori Roma. Need to breath nice air and see open spaces. Am hoping funds will allow me to go away with my parents for a few days when they are over at Easter. They have seen very little of Italy outside Rome really. So am thinking maybe Monte Argentario or Chianti region. Boh. My bank account had better start to look healthier first! Otherwise it'll be day trips. Sput advise me-where should I see in Lazio I can reach by train? We are so predictable. Always go to Santa Marinella / Ostia for sea, Bracciano/Anguillara for lake and Castelli on occasions.

Banana, it was lovely, we were just really lucky with the weather. Last year it snowed most of the week... which is pretty, but we all really needed some sunshine!

I'd love to go to Argentario or the Chianti area, I've never been! What about Orvieto, have you been there? I loved it when I visited (ages ago)

Ok, I am off to watch ep 1 of Mad Men, series 3, evviva!

BananaGio · 15/03/2011 21:10

I am off to watch Life on Mars-after the Ashes to Ashes finale I am having to rewatch the whole thing looking for "ah of course that's what that meant" type moments.

Francagoestohollywood · 15/03/2011 21:58

Oh my goodness Sputnik, Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin that is fab! I should buy it, shouldn't I?

Francagoestohollywood · 16/03/2011 09:18

Oh bugger, I should go to the supermarket and run 1000 errands, but there is a tempesta out there, I can't find enough moral strength to leave my comfy living room Grin

Rosa · 16/03/2011 10:51
