I adored the ceremony & the music and all the pomp! SO British in a traditional way. Was just such a fairytale. Have recoreded the whole thing so might well watch it again this week to perk me up! [cgrin]

bebejones · 01/05/2011 09:07

I'm really cross & I need to let it out so apologies in advance for my rant!

I have got DHs cold. I feel like CRAP! Last night I put DD to bed & she was a right madam. I went into her at 3am when she was crying, DH then talked to me & fell back asleep...snoring...within 30 secs & then I had to get up again to go to the loo. I spent 2 hours trying to get comfortable & couldn't go downstairs to sleep on sofa as DH had left his laptop on (I daren't touch it, it was 'doing' something) and it was illuminating the living room! When I finally got back to sleep DD woke up again & decided she needed to go to the toilet. SO I trudge downstairs to the bathroom with her. Then at 8.15 DH gets up. 'Great' I think 'he's letting me have a lie in!' WRONG! He came stomping back up the stairs, got back into bed, woke me up properly by striking up a conversation. Then said 'why don't you crash out & have a rest instead of getting up?!' Angry BECAUSE YOU WOKE ME UP EVEN THOUGH YOU KNOW I'M ILL & HAD A SHIT NIGHT SO NOW I MIGHT AS WELL GET UP & DO EVERYTHING FOR EVERYONE AS PER FUCKING USUAL!!!!!!!!! Oh, and he's now gone back to sleep! Angry AND still hasn't mowed the bloody grass & got the right hump this morning when I suggested he might consider doing it today! And we are supposed to be going to ILs today & I have to take DD to Tesco as he promised her I would to get her something! Just really fed up, feel like he hasn't been considerate at all. I may not go out to work, but I do 'work' every day & I deserve a couple of hours off surely? I'm going to have a shower while I can, and no doubt I will still be the one who gets DD up, dressed & fed!

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr! Angry

Rant over! As you were!

Quodlibet · 01/05/2011 09:58

Oh you poor thing Bebe. Have a Brew honey and lemon (with some whisky in). I think you should go on strike.

Quodlibet · 02/05/2011 09:11

How is everyone today? Bebe is your cold any better? I hope you're getting some pampering and rest.

What is everyone else doing with their bank hol?

I am catching up on work Sad (which I might not be so behind on if it weren't for MN, oh the irony) and then going to a friend's BBQ this pm. Oh and waiting for AF to arrive and allow me to relax - I hate being on standby.

We are looking after a friend's dog this week, she is very sweet. DP has decided he likes it being 'three of us', bless. He has mastered a very deep-voiced dog-commanding voice and is actually being obeyed for once!

bebejones · 02/05/2011 10:11

I have lost a chunk of filling/tooth & can barely breathe through my nose so feeling pretty crap! :( Made worse by the fact I can't get tooth fixed til I've got rid of blasted cold & it is driving me up the wall!

Lol at your DH being obeyed!

I am feeling optimistic about TTC as the magic 8 ball Oracle has consistently said I will have a baby next year for the last 3 days! Hmm :o

MrsSatsuma · 03/05/2011 12:34

Hope you're feeling better bebe. I've had tonsilitis which has morphed into a rotten cold so feeling pretty dreadful. FX for some good health vibes for us all!

On the plus side I think our swi was better timed this month, though according to FF my ovulation pattern is weird... is it possible to have luteal phases of 7, 8, and 17 days in different months?!

bebejones · 03/05/2011 13:01

I think my phases are a bit all over the place too. But given as I'm not actually temping (or TTC) I'm not 100% sure! Confused I'm fairly convinced that I do OV late on in my cycle tho.

Tonsilitus is horrid, poor you! :( Hope you are feeling better soon. x

V quiet on here. Is it coz everyone has been too busy enjoying the long weekend? :)

DH & I had a massive falling out yesterday. Brought on by DD being very naughty & running off at PILs farm. We ended up coming home after DH told her off & she cried for an hour! We (me & DD) sat in my bed & watched TV & ignored DH for 2.5hours. He had a go at me in the car about something really minor & spoke to me like shit. Actually considered packing up & taking DD to my mums, but can't afford the petrol! I was so angry though, and this outburst is not going to help my 'case' to TTC #2! :(

squirrel007 · 03/05/2011 15:24

bebe sounds like you are having a rough time :( hope you make things up with your DH

mrsS sorry to hear about the tonsilitus and the cold, fx they're on the way out now!

quod lol at your DH and the dog!

I have had a lovely week off work and really enjoyed all the bank holidays! Now I'm back and I have lost all motivation - only 7 weeks left of work and all sorts of reorganisation us going on so I am left with not that much to do.

On the plus side, was talking to my boss earlier who tells me that he and his fiancé are going to start ttc! He's a bit scared and would happily put it off, but they are compromising and meeting somewhere in the middle.

AmandaCooper · 03/05/2011 21:36

Oh dear Bebe what a rough time you're having at the moment. It sounds like things are getting worse not better. You must be really stressed out - and poor little DD getting told off.

MrsS no that is not normal, which you know! Good news that you think you hit the right days this month. Fingers crossed for a BFP... although from my POV it would be quite good if you held off another couple of months to wait for me lol.

Squirrel funny about your boss, I wonder if his fiancee (or of course he) is on MN! Did you warn him about the Gruffalo?

ShaggingWithIntent · 04/05/2011 10:02

Hi All!!

Just a very quick one from me as I am in the room hiding from the sun and heat for a bit!!

It sounds like everybody is feeling pretty crappy - hope that you all feel much better soon. Bebe how crappy for you that DH s being such a &^£$ to you. I don't blame you for feeling so shitty

No real news here. Had lots of SWI and am now 7DPO (half way through my 2WW) and started feeling realy nauseous yesterday morning. Not sure if it's the heat, food, travel or a sign of something happening. Trying not to think about it too much but it's quite hard!

Just had a text from my sister to let me know that they have decided on November for the wedding. So according to sod's law I am probably upduffed and will be suitably enormous for her wedding!!!

When are you testing MrsS?

Quodlibet · 04/05/2011 11:24

Hurrah for SWI! She's made it through to the other side!

AmandaCooper · 04/05/2011 19:32

Ooh a sign! A sign!

OP posts:
bebejones · 05/05/2011 11:39

FX for SWI!!! Eeeek how exciting!

My desire to be updiffed & have another baby is overwhelming me right now. I'm really starting to feel very low about it. It occupies most of my waking thoughts & alot of my sleeping ones too! Just don't know what to do anymore :(

AmandaCooper · 05/05/2011 13:23

Bebe if we start TTC and particularly if I get pg I know I'm going to feel bloody awful about leaving you behind.

OP posts:
bebejones · 05/05/2011 13:29

Don't feel bad! I will be just be pleased & excited & enjoy your pregnancy vicariously!!

I may be gloomy, but I am trying really hard not to give up all hope! :)

AmandaCooper · 05/05/2011 17:23

What's the prognosis in terms of how much viable time you have left before you might need more medication? Do you have any idea?

OP posts:
bebejones · 05/05/2011 18:36

I have no idea. I was averaging a relapse every 9 months, it's been nearly 11 now! Confused They were happy for me to stop meds as I was going to be TTC. But obviously am not. I'm not due to see anyone til Dec, when if I'm not TTC or updiffed then they'll probably recommend I go back on them. I just don't want to go back on & then DH turn round & decide we can TTC & have to wait again to be clear! He insists that my MS shouldn't be a factor in the decision of when to have a baby...but it kind of has to be!

squirrel007 · 05/05/2011 19:43

Oh bebe have an un-mumsnetty hug and a large glass of Wine

Have you and your DH had a proper talk about things? I know he's been stressed and busy lately, but it seems like you need to talk.

bebejones · 05/05/2011 19:47

It just hasn't really felt 'right' to bring it up lately. Everytime I was getting the feeling that it may be a good time to bring it up, something would happen. We had a nice bank holiday weekend (the last one) then on Monday (before I was going to bring it up) we had a big falling out over DDs behaviour etc. That was definitely not a good time to mention it!

Now DH has a bad back & is grumpy as hell, it's just never going to end well if I try & talk to him about in now!

MrsSatsuma · 05/05/2011 22:09

SWI how exciting! FX for you. According to FF I am 4dpo. No symptoms as yet - unsurprising as yet, but I'm finding it hard to hold out hope now because I've done it every other month and it's not amounted to anything.

Bebe could you ask your DH when is a good time to talk? Arrange it so that you can put time aside for it, without other things getting in the way? That way you can think through what you want to say (maybe even write a list?) and can make sure you're both calm (not that I'm assuming you're not calm people, but you know what I mean!).

Anyone know how nannyl is doing? Haven't seen her for a while...

AmandaCooper · 06/05/2011 08:13

CD43 and 11 DPO. Starting to sweat a bit now as no sign of AF.

OP posts:
bebejones · 06/05/2011 09:42

AC - Are you planning to test at all? Given how super fertile your office is!! Wink

MrsS - FX for you! Don't give up hope :)
Last time we 'talked' I wrote a list & got accused of trying to make him feel guilty & ambushing him! Hmm

DD starts preschool this afternoon (just an afternoon a week til Sept) but it still feels like a major event. One I'm not quite sure I'm ready for. She's not my baby anymore

bebejones · 06/05/2011 09:50

Have sent messages to Nannyl & Strawberry. Hope they are both ok :)

nannyl · 06/05/2011 10:24

hello hello hello
Im here.... so so so sorry for being away for a while, think i last was here before easter...
Long story short..... went down south for Easter with OH, had lovely time but naughty car broke.... OH flew home, i was stuck with no car waiting for it to fix (+ve side it WAS in warantee didnt cost us a penny (other than flights for OH at £40) and would have had a 4 figure bill otherwise)..... eventually arrived back Thurs pm.... had another long bank holiday with OH, and this week has been manic (Not sure why, but i have not paused even for a moment, and havent even made time to do my hypno-birth CD).... When i have been away from the thread I always figure it will take me ages to read all and catch up and comment (not a quick 5 mins) and since being back i just havent had the time..... MASSIVE APLOGIES BUT I AM HERE AND ALL IS WELL Smile

bebe thanks for your message. Sorry you still havent had a chance to talk to DH Sad. Hope your tooth is better.... and all toddlers can be challenging... its all part of being a toddler. Hope you have the talk soon XXX

AC how exciting. Good luck, keep us posted..... same to Mrs X and SWI.... wow, thats alot of you patiently waiting Shock

Congrats to strawberry and hope she is happy being Mrs Strawberry Smile
squirell hope the last weeks of work fly by for you

Waves and good wishes to anyone i may have forgotten.

New here:
My best friend had her baby at the weekend Smile Zoe, Susie, 5ib 15, she made it to 9cm with NO PAIN RELEIF AT ALL and hadnt even felt the need to use her TENS machine... arrived at birthing unit, 9cm, striaght in birthing pool, but not for long, pushed for 8mins and had a baby girl. Smile (wish i have a birth like that, especially for 1st baby!!!!!!!) start to finish was 10 hours!

Tuesday we had our 20 week scan (at 21+2) baby fine and healthy and all good news. Initially baby was moving, and while they were looking at other parts, they didnt notice any boy bits... Later on when looking legs were tightly closed and they couldnt see anything at all. No boy OR girl bits visible.
Guessing a girl but very very very unsure!
We have decided NOT to have a 4D scan to find out, so it will be a surprise, but probably female. Who knows. If a girl she has a name (unless we change our minds). A name i have NEVER considered but OH likes, and I do too. We shall see!

Have also chosen our cot bed, and have got OR chosen most things now (except for clothes) Went ikea / baby shopping at weekend Smile

My sickness is improving i think... Though back to daily / every other day, but i dont feel "ill" with it. My new thing is heartburn. OUCH Sad

We have no plans for this weekend, but i now feel well enough to have a good sort out etc (at last Hmm) and my next mission is new bathroom, and sort the nursery. (ie move / get rid of furniture & get baby stuff in)

Going to go and bake a cake (not bakes a cake since being PG (& i LOVE baking) and make homemade pizza for dinner. Also got lots of filing and i may move the shelves out of nursery into office (or move stuff off shelves so OH can move shelves) and be 1 step closer to nursery.
oh and MUST make time for hypnobirth CDS too Smile

Hope everyone is well, and i promise i will not disappear for so long again.

Happy weekend everyone Grin

Quodlibet · 06/05/2011 10:31

AC what's your LP normally?
Mine went to 14 days - I was proper sweating by the end, especially as I'd had some weird spotting halfway through.

Bebe if you ask your DH to decide the time you'll talk about it, then he can't accuse you of ambushing him.

MrsS fingers crossed for you too.

Squirrel how are things with you?
