MrsS - How annoying! I would be really cross re Physio!
Hope things have improved for you today, the sun is still shining here, that always lifts my mood a little!

Strawberry - How rubbish that you are feeling so sicky! Can't believe you are nearly 12 weeks!!! That has gone SO fast! Shock

It's been so quiet on here lately. I guess with all the sickness & PGness people are just dropping off :(

Hope everyone is enjoying the lovely Spring weather? It really is gorgeous here today. Going to take DD out in the garden ina bit. Might even do some gardening!! Hmm

MrsSatsuma · 20/03/2011 14:05

Hi everyone!

Weekend has got better thanks bebe - weather isn't as good as yesterday but we had an evening out to cinema and dinner which was nice, and have had a relaxing day so far today.

strawberry Hope you're feeling better - it must be so rubbish to feel ill all the time (although at the moment I'd cope with anything just to be pg!!). I can't believe you're nearly 12 weeks already!

Squirrel How exciting to be looking for baby clothes! Will remember the bargain tips for when it's my turn...

Got to go, lunch has just arrived courtesy of DH... :)

Good luck WW, when might you do a test?

bebejones · 21/03/2011 09:16

Good Luck WW! On both counts!! :)

Got a feeling today is going to be one of 'those' days! DD is trampling on my last nerve & shes only been up 1.5hours! Do her best toddler tantruming & stroppiness today! :( Just really not in a coping frame of mind today. Been thinking about everything we have going on & I just know DH is not going to change his mind re: TTC, especially this year. Feel deflated & just want to give up. :(

mrswantstobeamum · 21/03/2011 11:13

Sounds promising, WhyWait! Good luck and keep us posted.

Sorry to hear you've been feeling so rubbish Strawberry. For me, the exhaustion and nausea passed once I hit the second trimester. I hope it's the same for you. How's the wedding planning coming?

WW - FX for you!

Took DD to garden centre & Tesco, not much fun, but she did get to ride on the Noddy ride at Tesco......massive treat for her! :o (I'm a mean mummy Wink)

If it's still sunny this afternoon I'll let her run off some steam in the garden.

Going to make some cheese muffins & try & chill out a bit. Think all the baby/TTC stuff has sort of been getting me doen as I've been clearing out DDs old clothes again. DH just wasn't interested at all, probably coz he has man flu!

mrswantstobeamum · 21/03/2011 14:34

You are very patient WhyWait! I had gotten quite used to POAS as I had been using OPKs, so I took way too many pregnancy tests until I got a line dark enough to convince DH it wasn't in my head. Probably best to wait though. I really hope this is it for you!

WYorksLass · 21/03/2011 15:31

Woohoo, i can eat chocolate and drink tea again. Life is good :-)

MrsSatsuma · 21/03/2011 16:51

Wow WhyWait, you have serious self discipline! Good for you!!

WYorks Are you saying that when (if!) I eventually get pg I won't be able to eat chocolate for three months?! No!!!!!!

bebe Hope you're feeling better. You never know, your DH might do an about turn - it has been known from DHs... Hope baking calmed you down a bit, it always helps me.

Had an utterly rubbish day at work - big boss issues. Frustrated because I can't do anything about it, or say what I want to say, or even really rant to anyone about it in case it gets back to them. REALLY annoyed!!!

strawberrypie · 21/03/2011 17:35

I really hope this is your month WW! As Mrs W said you are being very restrained re POAS! Roll on Wednesday FX!!!!!

Thanks for your sympathy everyone, I feel so pathetic moaning so I will pull my socks up from now on!

I hope you feel better soon bebe, I wonder if it would be helpful for you to have some one-on-one counselling to talk about everything if it is getting you down? How is DHs job going? Any news on BIL?
Cheese muffins sound very nice btw :)

WW the wedding is the day before the royal one, I'm not getting stressed (yet!)as there nothing really to plan, I have had all the replies to the invitations, dress, rings, cakes, suit, buffet sorted so am hoping just to turn up and have a good time! (Ha! I'm sure there will be many things to go wrong between now and then!)

bebejones · 21/03/2011 18:01

Oooooooh Strawberry you got a dress? What's it like?

MrsS - I'm sorry to say I hardly touched chocolate at all when I was PG, really went off it! Sorry you are having big boss issues :(

BIL is home (I think Confused) The last I heard was he was coming back!

DHs work is still full on, but all positive stuff, just really really busy!

squirrel007 · 21/03/2011 21:35

Amanda great news about your DH still being off the cigarettes :) Seems like he's serious about it!

bebe Thanks for the Asda/Tesco recommendation, I'll definitely take a look :) Your DD must have been tiny if she was too small for newborn... I am a bit shocked by just how small 0-3 month sizes are so even smaller seems tiny to me. But then I'm a bit inexperienced with babies, especially newborns! Sorry you're feeling down again, any chance of talking to your DH? :(

MrsS sorry to hear your weekend didn't go to plan :( I also went off chocolate in the 1st trimester, just couldn't face eating it (and I am a determined chocoholic). Eat as much as you can now!

strawberry sorry about the nausea, sounds just like how I felt. Glad your DH is supportive though, I'm not sure how well I'd have got through the first trimester if it weren't for my lovely DH cooking and looking after me :) The second trimester does get better though. As for maternity clothes, my favourites are from Isabella Oliver, but they're really expensive (got mine in their sale), but they fit me better than other brands. Seraphine is also good, and Gap for basics. Plus ebay for bundles of cheap stuff.

whywait I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you Grin

I am still scouring ebay for baby clothes bargains, think there's a lot on there dirt cheap. The first lot arrived over the weekend, and I am amazed at how small they are Blush

AmandaCooper · 22/03/2011 07:19

Strawberry good luck for the scan today, you must be so pleased it's finally come round. Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Whywait you have saintly patience, I can't believe you haven't tested! I hope AF is still conspicuously absent?

AmandaCooper · 22/03/2011 07:26

Squirrel yes DH is still off the cigs, which is wonderful, fantastic, amazing - but it has nothing to do with ttc as far as I know, it's a health thing for the benefit of DH and the kitten.

Speaking of the kitten, is it possible to train them not to jump on the worktop? DH insists I'm wasting my time - but I'm worried he might get injured if he jumps up when the hob is on, so I've been locked in a battle of the wills!

OP posts:
AmandaCooper · 22/03/2011 07:28

Kitten has no boundaries whatsoever by the way, DH indulges his every single whim. A worry for the future!

Hello all sorry ive been missing bookmarking so i can catch up x

bebejones · 22/03/2011 08:04

AC - you can try, my two do it when I'm not around (little buggers) but I just always put them down every time I see/catch them. Did same when they were kittens so not sure it worked Hmm

Waves to JBells! :)

Squirrel - DD was 6lb 13oz when she was born, but lost alot & went down to 6lb 1oz (IIRC) she wasn't very long though (still is a short arse like me!) so anything bigger than small/early baby swamped her for about the first month of her life!
Want to try talking to DH, but just so scared about the tears & angst that it will inevitably bring! :(

Strawberry, I've bought some nice maternity clothes on good sale online at Asos (I like the Mamalicious brand). I've also found some good work pieces at Mamas and Papas, and some lovely dresses at JoJo Maman Bebe. Good luck with your scan today!

AmandaCooper · 22/03/2011 13:47
