Porsche 4x4s are the tackiest cars ever!!! Do you mean the Cayenne? Love other Porsches though.

Caligula · 12/09/2005 13:31

Excellent. Get yourself a pedometer and you'll feel even more vindicated about walking past your car.

spacecadet · 12/09/2005 13:31

pmsl at you nearly walking past your car!
i know that feeling, one of the mums at school now rolls up in a brand new mazda sports car.
at your dd, bless her, how old is sdhe?

Enid · 12/09/2005 13:31

yes thats right

they both had personalised number plates too

dh agrees they are heavily tacky

She is 2.10 and I am in agonies as I have chosen to send her until 2.30 and now I am worried its too long and I should have just done the morning.

OP posts:
Caligula · 12/09/2005 13:33

If she was seriously upset the nursery would call you.

Caligula · 12/09/2005 13:33

If she doesn't settle, you could ask the nursery if they'll take her for mornings only for the first couple of weeks or so, then till 2.30 once she's settled down?

Enid · 12/09/2005 13:34

yeah I know

right got to keep this going otherwise I WILL look at that thread and I have promised myself not to

thinks madly...

OP posts:
spacecadet · 12/09/2005 13:35

i bet she doesnt cry for long after youve left, my ds used to do this when he went to daycare while i worked, it would break my heart, the staff assured me that he stopped after i left. you could always cut the hours down later if you think its too much. they would ring if she didnt stop crying.

spacecadet · 12/09/2005 13:36

i have ignored the other thread you are referring too!

Tortington · 12/09/2005 13:37

oh enid enid enid.

you have to buy car seat covers that say " raceR"

and go all out tacky - now i have dice - traditional style - the other types are just wrong - as it presumes you like the dice rather than you recognise its nostalgic value and are taking the piss.

i actually like lots of beads hanging down from mirror

to go along with my dice i have talismans of saints swaying - very mexico!

you could opt for a go faster strip - that would be ok - but dont do the fin and keep your Bass at medium.

SleepySuzy · 12/09/2005 13:37

I have the oldest rustiest car of all the nursery mums, and I love it!

Katemum · 12/09/2005 13:37

Have you rung nursery? I restricted myself to just one phonecall a day but it was enough just to reassure me that they were settled and playing happily. Have weaned myself off the calls now.

SleepySuzy · 12/09/2005 13:37

And lots of people in Bradford have beads hanging down, but mainly taxi drivers.

Enid · 12/09/2005 13:38

tspolip custardo

do you like that?

it means 'teaspoon of liquid in pants'

OP posts:
GeraldGiraffe · 12/09/2005 13:38

Get yourself one of those bead woven seat covers too.

Tortington · 12/09/2005 13:38

or get a bumper sticker that says
"i think your cars tacky"

Lucycat · 12/09/2005 13:39

When you walk past the Porsche's say in a loud voice 'Oh we used to have one of those, the Aston's in the garage at the moment so I'm using the housekeeper/gardeners/butler's car.......' Even if no-one hears you it'll make you feel better!

P.S I feel like that about my Fiat Punto, but then I don't get worried about in Tesco's car park!

Enid · 12/09/2005 13:39

do you know it never occurred to me to ring

I will ask them for the best number when I go and pick her up soon.

I remember someone saying their nursery had a webcam- that would be so brilliant

then it started furious debate about working mums watching their poor mites on webcams instead of playing with them etc etc etc

OP posts:
Tinker · 12/09/2005 13:39

Get a car horn that plays Colonel Bogey/ie(?)

Lucycat · 12/09/2005 13:40

worried about it of course!

Enid · 12/09/2005 13:40

wewald - I always quite wanted one of those they look like you could get quite a good back rub out of them

I did at least clean it at the w/e

OP posts:
SleepySuzy · 12/09/2005 13:40

Oh no!! A webcam??? Is there no trust in this world?

Enid · 12/09/2005 13:41

tink!

fab idea

shall I get dh to shave his head and wear an England shirt and burn up teh drive to pick us up too?

OP posts:
Caligula · 12/09/2005 13:41

Ooh nursery webcams - this could turn into an "over 1000 postings" thread yet, Enid...
