Off to market to get a pumpkin to carve Smile.

verysorebits · 30/10/2010 08:23

oops that was obviously meant for another thread Blush - pain affecting brains

BananaGio · 30/10/2010 08:26

OK so that's me above-obviously not very good at this namechanging business! Had a cyst removed the other day and changed name while posting for advice re pain. Think will just stick to Banana whatever from now on as namechanging is obviously beyond me.......

Sputnik thanks for that . Yes Padova is offering that discount and also E5 off for teh family card. MInd you I was talking to somebody who said that last year for the festa of the salute they gave 20% off everything just for that day. Thing is can't find out if they are doing that again this year. I need to go and get teh mobile anyway but was thinking I could leave the curtains, Curtain rails ( all car sized stuff) incase - but thing is not sure DH will let me go again !!!!!

Rosa · 30/10/2010 13:05

Francagoestohollywood · 30/10/2010 14:22

Francagoestohollywood · 30/10/2010 17:21

I'm sure I've asked already a 1000 times, does the great little trading company deliver to Italy?

Francagoestohollywood · 30/10/2010 17:26

No, they don't Sad... I spotted so many things I'd have bought....

BananaGio · 31/10/2010 08:55

I have decided am going to do all my xmas shopping online and sent to my parents then get it shipped out with parcels2go (really good, reasonable and reliable if anyone is interested) along with lots of xmas food. So that's what I am doing today until Halloween party this eve at the childrens museum.
ds is jumping around singing bunga bunga at the moment.......

Then you need my list of websites Gio!

I am in OnlineSpendingHeaven and have been for some time.

Went positively orgasmic on the Lakeland site yesterday. (and John Lewis/Cox and Cox and all the usual suspects!!)

Rosa · 31/10/2010 10:54

I have done a bit of that but the one parcel sent from the Uk has yet to arrive ( 2 weeks) it was Royal Mail however. I have my shopping basket full from the British Corner shop and ready to go just waiting the bank loan for the house and then I can spend again !!! ..I can't justify spending £100 on things like that before hand just in case. I have to get most of the Uk end sorted out NOW as M&D are here next week and I was aiming to get it sent back with them ...Can't see it happening ! So will have to be posting to the Uk or ordering and giftwrapping on line!
What a sh*tty day - its raining on and off , windy and dds are bored with the extra hour its worse as well...... DH is of course working!

BananaGio · 31/10/2010 12:11

oh yes Buch please share Smile

White Company (not Stuff, that's horrid trendy clothes, Company for gorgeous gorgeous classy decs and wrappings and other poncey stuff)

spooktrain · 31/10/2010 13:02

Hi everyone, new here!
I've been lurking around for a while but wanted to introduce myself - I'm Scottish, been in Italy for 15 years, now living in the sticks near Turin (where the fog and rain has never really lifted today) with Italian DH and two DSs, aged 5 and 8, and a gorgeous 4 month old mongrel called Chico.

Bucharest · 31/10/2010 13:21

Hello SpookyTrain!
Welcome to LI!
I'm in the arse end of Puglia and have been here for 16 yrs (though it feels longer Grin) with dp, who is from here, and dd aged 7.
I'm online Christmas shopping and wondering whether to listen to some Christmas music!

Meant to say Gio- for any online shopping you do, don't forget to go via Quidco or that other one, Cashback something or other. Photobox for example give you 20% back on a first order!

BananaGio · 31/10/2010 13:30

Buch you're a star. DP going out in a minute to watch footie at his Dads so am going xmas shopping, putting the christmas music on and may even crack open the glogg I got from Ikea the other day Smile
welcome spooky. I am in Rome, crappy weather here as well today. Roman DP and 4 year old ds. Am from near Manchester originally.

Have MRosas birthday on Fri more cooking and her mini party ( valium required ILs in arrivo) with more cooking and have Ikea on Sat ......arrggghhh

Bucharest · 31/10/2010 13:53

Rosa, what's the code for the 20%? I've got WINTER20 but wasn't sure if that's still valid?
I think I might photobox this afternoon as I still want more cards (dd doing snow angel in the deep snow last year) and I had thought of maybe getting my Mum a canvas....
I did some Vistaprint cards yesterday, but they work out just as expensive as photobox once you've added the add ons....(they are like Ryanair lol)

Forgot Laura Ashley as well on that list! Lovely decs and wrap!

BananaGio · 31/10/2010 13:57

20% off one is XMASGIFT Buch. Have been sorting out a calender this morn for FIL using that

OP posts:
Rosa · 31/10/2010 15:16

There is also the 3x2 which I am rapidly trying to get done. I have used the dds from last year for my dec shot !!! AM thinking about a small photobook for dh of his girls.....

BananaGio · 01/11/2010 07:46

any idea if I can choose an Italian version of a calender of the UK photobox site? Want to make most of 3x2 but need an Italian one for fil and english one for others. Have also registered for the Italian site but unless am missing something dont seem to have the 3x2. They have an offer on some calenders but not the (cheaper) wall ones I want

Hi Spooktrain and welcome. I now live in Milan with Italian dh and 8 yr old ds and 6 yrs old dd. We lived in the Uk for quite a long time (me for 8 yrs, dh for 14 or 12 I can't remember!!!) and moved back top Italy nearly 3 yrs ago (wow that's along time!)

I don't shop online that much, as in Milan I have everything I want on my doorpstep, but I had spotted some lovely magnetic boards on gltc... bah! I also have a long wish list on amazon.co.uk, I think I can buy a few things nowe... as it's november, my birthday approaching... I deserve it Grin

Buch, have just met friends of dh who live nr Lecce, told me they had 24 degrees until 3 days ago... it can't be that bad then Grin

Rosa · 01/11/2010 14:35

It was 17 deg this morning ....Raining and you could see people with steam coming out from under the umbrellas. I had to get dds' Kway ( thing ) out as I had to take them both out or they would have killed each other ( or I would have). anyway they puddle splashed and diddn't get too wet !
Its not windy however ........
Gio I have asked Pbox if I can have postage of 1 item to Italy and the other 2 to the Uk ...am waiting for an answer.... The PB Italy site seems a bit lacking in codeas and offers.
If anybody has any rellies in the Uk Thorntons are dong BOGOF on a 19.99 box of continental chocs. AM sorely tempted .....
