I suppose this should be in Telly Addicts but it's more general than that really. Did anyone else watch it? Brian Sewell and Michael Winner - what *@!?s! Could't they have found slightly more well balanced Southerners? Guess it wouldn't have been so extreme then. Brian Sewell hoping for another flu epidemic so grim Northern cities can be razed to the ground...mmmm.

agree wholeheartedly with you moo. But then again, everyone seemed to slag off Birmingham. These type of programmes just wouldn't work if folk had balanced views would they?

mm. actcherly we're all like that down south: either speak with an unspeakably gay upper class like you've never heard before plummy accent or else are obnoxious fat tossers that like reviewing restaurants just so we can get the scran....honest....

No, no-one likes Brummies Though, I think it's true what was said on the programme - you tend to see Birmingham while snarled up in interminable traffic jams, not the best view of a city! I've only seen Brum from a traffic jam, in the train station, and in the coach station - not the best parts of many cities.

I just find the idea that Michael Winner is so deluded he believes his obnoxious stupid views count in any way, or could possibly influence anyone with more intelligence than an amoeba, hysterically funny. Does the man not realise how extraordinary he looks, or how stupid he sounds? Nose like a penis, eyes so screwed up you wonder how he sees, and spouts a load of cobblers. He's welcome to his patch of earth as long as it's far enough away from me that I don't have to look at his ugly mug.

Speaking as a born northerner (Sheffield), who has migrated to the Midlands (Nottingham), I'm really glad Michael Winner doesn't want to live in the North. Guess what Michael, we wouldn't want you!!

I did live in Surrey for a while about 15 years ago. came back tho'
