I suppose this should be in Telly Addicts but it's more general than that really. Did anyone else watch it? Brian Sewell and Michael Winner - what *@!?s! Could't they have found slightly more well balanced Southerners? Guess it wouldn't have been so extreme then. Brian Sewell hoping for another flu epidemic so grim Northern cities can be razed to the ground...mmmm.

gingerbear · 02/09/2005 23:04

I prefer ginge to be honest - rhymes with minge. (Have also been quaffing aussie red...hic)

marthamoo · 02/09/2005 23:04

You not like Michael Winner then, edam?

I was thinking how had I missed hunker living in Macc! My brain is a bit frazzled today. Yes, a mini meet up should be done, giraffeski.

There is a Michael Winner lookalike who lives in or around the Bramhall area though. Keep seeing him.

He was wearing braces with shorts last time, tee hee.

marthamoo · 02/09/2005 23:05

Your dh wouldn't let me in, soph - I voted for Tony.

HunkerSorryGiraffeTrollMunker · 02/09/2005 23:05

i'm poynton mm, but it's close enough. i'm practically Adlington.

marthamoo · 02/09/2005 23:06

I don't think anyone would want Michael Winner. Repulsive little slimeozoid. That was the thing - the 'extreme' Southerners were not livng in the real world, North or South.

Moo is a manc .. Ping .. light dawns on ol' twiglett

marthamoo · 02/09/2005 23:07

How old's your little one, giraffeski? Could do an Adlington Wacky Warehouse meet (I can get the train).

How did you guess, Martha? Irritating twerp. I cannot imagine how he ever gets a lay. Maybe that's his problem...

gingerbear · 02/09/2005 23:07

This thread is turning very Cheshire-centric, as a Yorkshire lass I feel ostracised (will have to check spelling)

marthamoo · 02/09/2005 23:07

Did you not know that, Twig?

OP posts:
Twiglett · 02/09/2005 23:08

nope .. but I get why you're so funny now

turquoise · 02/09/2005 23:08

A friend of mine had to audition for MW when she was only 15, and he made her take her bra off and test for perkiness by putting a pencil under her boobs - if it stayed she failed. Horrible evil old perv.

Easy · 02/09/2005 23:09

It's you an' me, Ginge

edam · 02/09/2005 23:09

Yeee-uck.

HunkerSorryGiraffeTrollMunker · 02/09/2005 23:09

ooh, yes! I can get the bus, goes from outside my house to outside WW!! dd is 2.5, would like that v much. Shall we start a meetup thread?

marthamoo · 02/09/2005 23:09

Well of course, in all seriousness, Northerners are funnier, and Mancs funniest....thanks, twig

OP posts:
gingerbear · 02/09/2005 23:10

I could keep a pencil under my boobs for weeks on end

Heathcliffscathy · 02/09/2005 23:10

so did he, originally...as long as you feel suitably let down...and even if you dont'....god he came across bad didn't he?

HunkerSorryGiraffeTrollMunker · 02/09/2005 23:10

Turquoise- why would someone be auditioning for a food critic? Are you sure it was Michael Winner?

harpsichordcarrier · 02/09/2005 23:11

LOL at Edam
he is a tosser isn't he? did you see him on Mrs Merton. (paraphrasing....) so Michael, you always have a good looking young girl on your arm, have you ever been out with anyone who didn't want to be in your films?

gingerbear · 02/09/2005 23:11

Easy, we need the South Yorkshire cavalry over here. I bet they have gone to bed.

Twiglett · 02/09/2005 23:11

I know .. I'm a manc and I'm like really funny

marthamoo · 02/09/2005 23:11

OK giraffeski - shall we try for next week (I know it's short notice) - ds1 is back at school from Tuesday (as are most kids so it will be quiet) and ds2 is not at nursery til the week after (when it will be hard as he's going 5 days from then). Can't do Monday or Tuesday though.
