Goodness, we seem to have run out of space on the other one!
I shall assume that we are still in the same premises as for Tea Room Ten for the moment until wiser people tell me otherwise!!

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 04/11/2009 20:59

I'm glad to hear that the cavalry (aka DH) is on its way, Mary. When you hear the roar of the ride-on mower, that will mean that Mellors is nearly there. Is your DH the jealous sort? Or are they likely to put up a set of shelves together and then go to the pub?

I'd love a croissant, just as long as I can pick the anchovies and marmite out and hide them in the aspidistra. Clearly Amber has a more adventurous palate than me!

Would anyone like a glass of Bolly and the MadBad vegetarian economy version of devils on horseback - cheesy wotsits wrapped around a prune?

MaryBS · 04/11/2009 21:03

Fortunately he is not the jealous sort - and anyway is otherwise engaged in such serious matters as football. He may well invite Mellors to join him in front of the TV!

daisy99divine · 04/11/2009 21:47

Daisy notes the tea room is oddly quiet and then remembers.... it is the first night of SPOOKS!!!

She sneaks away to see what happened to Harry

Not forgetting to give a small kiss to Gatita and trusting that she and Catita can see the same moon smiling down on them that Daisy can see as she sends a little prayer of comfort to them as they embark on life's wonderful adventure together.....

RacingSnake · 04/11/2009 21:53

How lovely to be sitting here with you all in the tearoom in front of the fire, listening to the rain beating on the windows. How thoughtful of Mellors to have filled the wood basket before setting off. Hope he doesn't get too wet on that mower.

Thank you for asking, M.Snake seems much calmer now. Brought Wriggle over to have lunch with me in the village where my school is (his idea) and was totally relaxed about my having forgotten to change the time on the bedroom clock, so that he arrived an hour early. Casual and cheerful all evening. This latest episode may be over! (No chocolates or flowers, MaryB, but never mind.)

So can now focus on others' matters.

What is happening en la casa de Catita?
How goes the convalescing of the Marys and the Gymfamily??
Does MadBad really think that you can eat cheesy wotsits withh bolly???
Has Daisy recovered yet????
What is in this vol au vent????

daisy99divine · 04/11/2009 22:00

racing I am so glad the sun has come out from behind the cloud

chick the vol au vent and join me for Bolly

I am going to snuggle under this fleecy blanket on the comfy Habitat sofa - wanna join me?

teafortwo · 04/11/2009 22:11

Seeing as it is a Habitat sofa Daisy - I will join you (I think RS is on another piece of furniture with Mr Snake )

I was thinking if my home can't, when I am properly growned up look like a Habitat shoot then I wouldn't mind it looking like one of the Tachen interiors from my mini collection of Tachen interior books I sometimes aimlessly flick though....

And thoughts of the lovely pink and kissable Gatita... and wondering where all these horrid interesting recipes are coming from... and wondering if Madbad baked this biscuit... ....

YAWN...

and... and.... sleeeeeeeeeeeeep

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

UniS · 04/11/2009 22:12

Hi, I'm back. wet socks draped by teh wood burner, random damp waterproofs strewn about. Fingers gradully thawing out, and much cleaner now I've washed them .
The marmalade and ham roll was great thank you, and I'll just pour myself a hot choc from the tea rooms made by potters jug.

Fireshow lighting rig is up and working. It was a VERY wet afternoon and evening. Fingers Xed its all calms down for a bit tomorrow evening.
www.sticklepathfireshow.org.uk/2009%20the%20build.htm for pics of the set ( and one of boys little mates about half way down teh page).
Sending good vibes to Cat. Tissues to Mary. A set of blinking yellow lights to Amber ( so much better at indicating than that woolly scarf your waving about there). Hurrahs to Racing. and hellos to all.

Think I need an early night.

amberlight · 04/11/2009 22:17

oooo!!! Blinking yellow lights!!!!!!

thumbwitch · 04/11/2009 22:20

interesting selection of vol au vents and other assorted nibbles going on in here - anyone want a slice of banana and caper bread?

Am looking forward to finding out how Catita and Gatita are - I seem to remember that she is imprisoned forced to stay in the hospital for 3 days in Mexico, or am I making that up?

Mary, hope you get well soon, ditto gymbunny and family

RS - so glad MrRS is back on form - hope he lets you know what was causing it at some point.

MrThumb was on a bit of a downer yesterday but that's because of his brother being in court to accept an AVO (Apprehended Violence Order), banning him from:
i)our house
ii) being anywhere near MrThumb or miniThumb when he's been drinking
iii) assaulting MrThumb again.
A good thing to have, but quite stressful to deal with. MrThumb recovered quite quickly though, thankfully.

This morning we were visited by a flock of about 20 yellow-tailed black cockatoos. Enormous things, with a screech that sounds like a pterodactyl might have, they flew in for a few mins, circled round like predatory vultures and then buzzed off again. V. exciting!

teafortwo · 04/11/2009 22:28
RacingSnake · 04/11/2009 22:52

Sorry for MrThumb. Has this always been a problem or is the behaviour new and shocking?

thumbwitch · 04/11/2009 23:17

RS, tis not new but he is getting more out of hand. The fact that he kicked off while miniThumb was present meant that the police actually instigated the AVO, not MrThumb. Probably because I said I wanted something done about it, even if the family didn't.

Catitainahatita · 04/11/2009 23:37

Hello all.
Thanks for the good wishes, it's been very nice to see you all thinking about me.
Well... it turns out that those contractions I had on Saturday afternoon night/Sunday afternoon were the real deal. Woke up at 2am onn Monday morning very much convinced that the pain was indicative of there being No Going Back.

But of course, in all the haitus (sp) about my Mum, I'd forgotten to make arrangements for What To Do with Kittenito in this situation. Plus I didn't want it to be without painkillers afterwads again.
So I held on until about 5.30 am and the contractions were quite regular at 3 mins and got on phone (thinking that it wasn't that early to be awaking unsuspecting nice people.)

Got to the hospital at about 6.30, Gatita "came out of the sunroof" at 7.50 weighing 2, 750g or just over 6lbs.
Of course, in Mexico, 2 November is the Day of the Dead and public holiday, so holding on(in that sense)had been pretty hopeless. Damn and blast.

We're home; Kittenito is a bit bemused but getting the hang of the big brother lark. He "helped" Mr. Hatita change a nappy this afternoon and was very pleased to see his wee sister poo all over his Dad.

Once I work out where Mr. Hatita has downloaded the pics he took on Monday I will put them on my profile for you to see.

In the meantime I'm having a cup of tea while Gatita has a kip.

daisy99divine · 04/11/2009 23:38

oh racing necesary but upsetting. Sorry for your brother - it is drink related or is that a symptom of something else? Not nice

RAcing thanks for the stoked fire

AMber glad you are liking the lights

Mary did your DHs DVT resolve?

thumbwitch · 05/11/2009 01:44

Catita - hurrah! Congrats and all that, how pleased you must be to be home again.

0000000000000000 ^^^^^^: )^^

teafortwo · 05/11/2009 08:56

Catita - hurrah! I can't wait for the pics!!! Please give a 'specially big kiss and sniff from the Tearoom gang!

My sis is in labour as I type!!!!

When Milk woke up I asked her to sit on the sofa and over her milk and my tea explained to Milk that Auntysmoothiesfortwo had a bit of tummyache in the night so she went to see a special nurse called a Midwife who said her baby is coming so Milk will have a baby cousin very very soon. Milk looked at me frowned (reading my emotions trying to see what she should say) then shouted "Oh hurray now can I watch telly?"

amberlight · 05/11/2009 09:12

yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Catita!!!!!!!!!!!

Tea, fingers crossed for your sis...

Morning all...tea/hot towels available

MadBadandDangerousToKnow · 05/11/2009 10:20

Hooray for Catita and Gatita!

Hooray for MonsieurSerpent!

Hooray for everyone else!

Boo that I forgot to watch Spooks. What did happen to Harry?

Here's some soothing balm for Catita's stitches, a wonder cure for Mary and Gymgirlie's lurgies and some aniseed and kumquat shortbread for everyone else.

daisy99divine · 05/11/2009 11:35

Hurrah for Gatita and Catita and Kittenito and Mr Hatita and oh mygoodness me!!!

Sorry for slightly surreal post last night, Catita's one hadn't shown up on my screen or I would have responded then, sorry

And I meant "thumb" not racing re brother

But what a stroke of genius the "I have nothing to say on the topic" biscuit emoticon is - what I love most 'bout MN

It is what I want at work too

daisy99divine · 05/11/2009 11:40

by the way UniS mean to say good luck with the FireShow it looks AMAZING and sounds fun - hope it's not too wet

I am taking DaisyBoy to first fireworks tonight. He has been trying to "hear" fireworks - just one rocket so far last night but he didn't hear enough to "know" the sound IYSWIM so he keeps asking if all other random sounds are fireworks

No, that's a lorry
No, that's a fire engine
No, that's the kettle

Quite sweet but reminds me how trusting he has to be to make sense of this crazy world!

MaryBS · 05/11/2009 12:12

Well done Catita!

Have just crawled out of bed, still feeling very tired, but really feel I ought to get up. Is there any breakfast left? If there are any of my croissants left, I think I'll pass on them...

DH had another appt at the hospital today. Things seem to be improving slowly but surely, which is fantastic.

notquiteagymbunny · 05/11/2009 13:18

Congratulations Catita and welcome Gatita!!

All good here, gymgirlie is back in school and I'm in work. We're having an all day meeting today and I declined the offer of lunch in the cafe in favour of my homemade chick pea curry and a visit to the tea room.

I remembered to watch Spooks and enjoyed a happy hour diascovering Lucas North what happened to Harry.

CMOTdibbler · 05/11/2009 14:21

Welcome Gatita !

You don't mind if I just snooze on the sofa do you ? Back from Chicago today, and the effects of not enough sleep all week/ jet lag/ a lot of talking/ more booze than I normally ingest/ working v hard has left me in a bit of a state

daisy99divine · 05/11/2009 15:03

Glad Mr Mary and Gymgirlie are all getting better

Strike outs have to go for each word so lucas needs then round both bits of his name

Don't tell me re Spooks, hvae recorded it

MadBad I have one word for you iplayer

notquiteagymbunny · 05/11/2009 17:54
