The moving castle tea room touches down for the 29th time

Welcome to the tea room. Open to those with one child and those with more and maybe some with none ( hi dave the trucker).

This time we are heading to the mists and mellow fruitfulness of Autumn in a moving castle with a mind of its own. The roaring fire is maintained by magic and Mellors the gardener handles wine and spirits along with massage duties.

The first rule of the tea room is this
No fisticuffs.
The second is this
Put the kettle on for Brew and help yourself to a Biscuit

I'm having a really weird musical experience! I've clicked on your link Maud so I'm now listening to Teenage Kicks, but I was listening to Classic Fm online already, and now they are both playing at the same time!! I didn't even know that was possible!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/09/2011 23:25

Oh yes. It's even possible to play two YT vids at once, if you keep both tabs open.

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/09/2011 23:26

I've just listened to the Ash and Green Day versions of Teenage Kicks - thank you, YT - and they're both pathetic imitations of the original.

::feels very old::

LittleDeerandMe · 10/09/2011 23:30

You could actually layer the various versions of the same song if you wanted to! I didn't know that.

Ok, I'm really off to bed this time. Hope you both feel better in the morning Scout and UniS. Night all x

oxeye · 10/09/2011 23:36

hello my darlngs! I am back and to celebrtae MN just swallowed my post! great start

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/09/2011 23:39

Oxeye! You're back!

::Clasps you to her larger than she realised [thank you Bravissimo] bosom::

Is it because you heard me mention our fights over mutual delight in Cardboard George? How was your trip?

oxeye · 10/09/2011 23:42

ha ha ha, actually I just thought I should see how you all are and there is a lovely little chat about George's political committment and a few lovely pictures to illustrate his droolworthiness the point and I felt right back at home!

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/09/2011 23:46

George's political commitment is much to be admired almost as much as his beautiful phizzog.

oxeye · 10/09/2011 23:52

ah dear Maud ::clasps Maud, wonders how many stays she's wearing tonight! Hmm:: not many people sprinkle their posts with delicacies such as phizzog. I knew I couldn't stay away

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/09/2011 23:53

We have missed you although there has been more of George to go round.

Zing went the strings of my heart

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 10/09/2011 23:54

Oh my

mistlethrush · 10/09/2011 23:56

Evening

MC seems to have had a sucessful 1st week at school (shock, horror!)

MC has passed his karate grading.

Effectively single parent this weekend as Dh is playing wagner. All weekend. Inc. Friday evening.

TW - DH had cello lessons. Once he was pretty good, he had about 20 mins of lesson from his aunt on the DB and that was it really! But he tends towards the DB not the cello.

oxeye · 11/09/2011 00:34

Hi there MC very impressed by MC reading, we have that Usborne book, it's great isn't it!

Thumbwitch · 11/09/2011 00:53

Ah- welcome back Oxeye - hope la belle France treated you well!

MT - that's really good - my double bass teacher told me that was the harder way to do it, apparently (obviously not in your DH's case!) but I don't really know why - it's just as annoying to go from 4th intervals between strings to 5th intervals as to go the other way!

Hurrah for MC managing his first week successfully and for passing his karate!

Scout19075 · 11/09/2011 07:25

Laundry in dryer, Christmas cake in oven, dishes from making mentioned cake washed up. All before 7:30. YAY!

Scout19075 · 11/09/2011 07:38

Hello!

Tee2072 · 11/09/2011 08:12

Hello gang!

Brew? That sound you hear is a mummy who has had 3 good nights sleep in a row! I don't know what to do with myself. So live in hope, all ye who still have unsleeping babies/toddlers. It does get better!

Heya Oxeye!

Scout you have been productive! I am about to prep a gammon in coke for the slower cooker.

Absolutely flooding down out there. Good thing the museum was already on our agenda for the day. Just have to get there relatively dry!

Scout19075 · 11/09/2011 08:19

After the Christmas cake comes out we'll go for lunch for MiL's birthday (was a few days ago) and when we get back I'll put the mincemeat in the oven. Tis very good. Also brought down MrScout's work shirts to wash (he needs them for this week and I knew I wouldn't have time to get them done if we get home late tonight, which is likely given how we're staying here for dinner and MrScout is never punctual about leaving). Should go put them in the washer, really, but will probably wait until this afternoon so we can all have showers this morning. Grin

I so covet a shower right about now but TS is going to want his breakfast soon and no one else is up yet to take care of his needs while I use the bathroom.

YAY for Tee's good sleep. I'm still not cuz of feeling like a poorly girl. Seems to have moved to my chest a bit though it's still in my head/throat. Urgh. Toddler, on the other hand, looks as if he's feeling better.

CMOTdibbler · 11/09/2011 10:20

Oxeye ! I was just thinking about when you'd be back.

Have been being sick since 3am. Yuck. Hoping it has passed off now as our weather has gone from vile to nice all day

mistlethrush · 11/09/2011 10:42

hope you're feeling better soon CMot!

Scout19075 · 11/09/2011 11:14

Poor CMOT. Sad

Scout19075 · 11/09/2011 11:14

Oooohhh, first Christmas cake baked and now cooling. I'm very impressed. Everyone says it smells great (Grin) but I can't smell anything (Sad).

oxeye · 11/09/2011 12:05

Hello All! Having fun at the Thames festival this weekend. Scout you shame and shock re Christmas, well done!
Cmot poor you
hello all others

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 11/09/2011 12:59

Oh dear, Cmot. Here comes Mellors with a mop and his usual cheery manner.

Oxeye - Ha! Did you go yesterday? We very nearly did. Bum if we missed an opportunity for an unscheduled meeting!

Scout - I am in awe.

LittleDeerandMe · 11/09/2011 13:12

Morning Hmm all!

Welcome back Oxeye! How did you and Oxpox get on accompanying your dh on his travels this summer? I am a regular (or at least semi regular) but have name changed. I am the one that sent your parcel.

Bleargh CMOT, hope you feel better soon.

My bravissimo (Sp?) bra broke last week Sad. It was wonderful, had it for years, pretty and very very supportive but last week I heard a ping and felt a drop Blush, a strap had broken.

Do yours LO's ever stop talking? Even for a minute? LittleDeer never does, sometimes it drives me mad!
