Emma, please don't thump me, but is this menopause brainfog going on? So like what happens to me😥

BlackeyedSusan · 05/05/2022 15:13

Tree surgeons are back. Seriously reduced one tree but it is still there and will sprout more over summer. (This was the tree I could see behind the stubby bare trunk they left.) They have pruned a tree near the streetlight but not too significant change in view for me they are pruning trees I can only see from outside. The big tree has birds nesting in it.

Could be, yes. I tend to be able to concentrate for long periods and then need to do nothing for long periods, so I do have form.

currently in floods of tears wondering if I should pull out of the flat I'm buying. That might seem irrational but the solicitor thought I was a bit nuts to buy it.

i have hit the point where I can't bear the uncertainty, the vendors are doing nothing, literally, to move it along.

i hate the area I live in though.

sometimes everything seems such a mess, you end up at "better the devil you know". Plus....please don't thump me...I usually find that what you have to strive hard for isn't worth it. The good things come easily.

at this point, the solicitor will charge less, rather than if I push to exchange and the vendor pulls out the day before, or asks for my money.

sorry, that was a big ADHD brain dump in there. All thoughts appreciated.

So they can't touch the big tree, is that correct?

LilyRed · 06/05/2022 00:36

Yes, I was about to say that too, surely they can't prune during nesting season?

EmmaH2022 · 09/05/2022 14:54

Well, it's all over, my purchase has fallen through. But I knew that when I was crying buckets last week.

Big tree is safe. It got done last time they came. There are crows or ravens nesting in there. I was ready to warn them. They started building a big fuck off nest before leaves sprouted.

The magnolia was spared as well.

Sorry about your flat Emma.

Oh, no, I'm so sorry 😢

What aspect has gone wrong?

EmmaH2022 · 09/05/2022 20:02

Thank you both.

tbh it's such a legal mess I actually can't even begin to explain it.

in the meantime, anti social behaviour in my building has escalated. It's two families but it's amazing how much trouble people can cause.

the mgmt co already sent a letter to their landlords so we can only hope they get evicted but some landlords don't care if they get their rent.

I'm so sorry you're having to live with these things. I understand how stressful it is, we had to move from our last home due to bullying by neighbours.

What are your plans now? Are you able to look for another place?

EmmaH2022 · 10/05/2022 13:18

Barrow Not sure I can face it. I missed the window of opportunity in many ways, I should have moved before. It's complicated. Basically when my dad died, I knew I should move but thought it wasn't a good idea to make big decisions.

hopefully the two families will leave or calm down. We have had this before. You can get it anywhere, of course.

i'm going to take some time to get the flat decorated...I can't say I particularly want to but it will make future sale easier. I'm still very much in a fog of "disorganised ADHD home" which is not good!

how are you? How is Saxenda? How is everyone?

i'm still posting about earplugs...the search continues!

BarrowInFurnessRailwayStation · 10/05/2022 15:54

I'm okay, still doing saxenda, but I've joined BIWIs Low Carb Bootcamp so won't bother getting another pen 'cos low carbing curbs the appetite anyway. Still losing gradually though, which is okay for my age and activity level.

Don't lose hope regarding moving. I never believed I'd be able to move, but I did.

EmmaH2022 · 10/05/2022 18:15

Barrow that's good. I really admire people who do low carb!

BlackeyedSusan · 10/05/2022 20:11

Me too. Fell off the diet wagon and ate loads of cheese and chocolate... Weight back on. (Not all of it)

Back to steady losing again.... I can do this...

But today I have run out of metaphorical spoons and literal dishes.

I'd sell my granny for a bit of cake right now 😋 😆

EmmaH2022 · 11/05/2022 00:07

I've been quite good and lost a grand total of 3lb...which might turn out to be the property stress. I find stress burns fat really fast.

now, who buys all these grannies? 😂

BlackeyedSusan · 11/05/2022 12:37

Stress eats Pringles and a whole slab of chocolate really fast. And cheese.

online or in person?

hope it goes quickly!

I deliberately left 5 minutes between each appointment but that made it very long. Must be harder for teachers. One did not turn up. Must follow that up.

OP posts:
EmmaH2022 · 14/05/2022 18:08

BlackeyedSusan was it okay though?

I am still in a muddle about what to do next. I wasn't going to start looking at property again, but I feel so much better in mum's area than in mine. Amazing what a difference a few miles makes!
