Iraq, Afghanistan, and now Gaza. whole cities, towns, villages, communities razed to the ground. The number of deaths are staggering. Mothers, fathers, uncles, aunts, brothers, sisters, children, dead, destroyed.

Apparently "we" asked for it so it's justified. We are rats. We are terrorists, we are backward, we are rubbish, better off dead.

@Scirocco oh that's great mashAllah! A local charity has been fundraising and collecting for the Palestinians who managed to get out into Egypt before the border closed.
My heart breaks for those who were supposed to leave the day before it closed, they were so close to leaving waiting at the border and then had to turn back.

At the moment, the only organisation I trust, or know that is directly reaching Palestinains is UNRWA. So it'd be nice to donate to those who are directly reaching out to the refugees.

@Myb Islamic Relief have appeals live, and MAP, Red Cross/Red Crescent and Doctors Without Borders are all active in trying to get help to people who need it.

It's so frustrating that Pro- Palestine is so often conflated as Pro-Hamas on MN.
I think it's a underhand tactic to undermine the vast support that the Palestinians have been shown all around the world.

A lot of posts create a classic DARVO picture. Especially if there's been a recent event presenting Palestinians or Muslims sympathetically.

Yes I have noticed it really ramps up then. God forbid any international bodies should even hint that perhaps it's enough now and the killing of the Palestinians should maybe stop.

Nothing to add to this thread today really. Very depressing reading about the attacks on those who speak up for Palestine. Not allowed to call this out though because apparently its anti -something.

Words of solidarity with Palestine today, from a man I'd never met before: "Now, we are all Palestinians."

It's the hypocrisy that really really gets to me. People are so blinkered they can't even see it. They expect so much respect and tolerance from everyone but are unwilling to offer the same back. Some posters are so condescending and aggressive in their approach I just can't deal with them anymore.

@Dulra It really is isn't it. Even when reported to MN, you either do not get a reply, they say they'll look into it or they leave it up to be challenged. But yet there have been many occasions where posts have been deleted even though they have been challenged.

If MN kept this board hidden from active, then we may just be able to avoid the fanatics…but then taking preemptive steps to avoid anti-Islam posts would make MN a boring place.

If they start their own thread about murder statistics, I've got some that will blow their minds.
