I can't be the only one who loves this band more than life itself (well almost).
I only just discovered them a month ago. I can't believe I missed so much.

Hope none of you have seen it before

So, so funny

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2010 22:41

I have. Those guy provide us with many a funny moment.

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2010 22:41

Have you seen any of the 'misheard lyrics' videos on Youtube? The Micro Cuts one is hilarious.

Valpollicella · 02/08/2010 22:49

Noo not seen any of those ones Lyra?

Re Cafe De Paris... I am sooo you were there

The crowd sounded noisy though...like, shouty noisy?

That could just have been you tube footage though

I do hope they haven't dropped 'I Belong to You' Love that.. Esp Matt's little 'yelp' about 4 secs into the album track

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2010 22:54

Microcuts - misheard lyrics

Yeah, the Casino was great. The crowd wasn't that rowdy really. I had to organise the trip at three days' notice, which as you can imagine isn't that easy with two children to consider. it was a bit of adventure though. I went with three girls from the Muse messageboard that I hadn't bet before
Do you go on the Muse board?

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2010 22:55

met before. Damn the lack of 'edit' function on this board.

Valpollicella · 02/08/2010 23:04

No haven't ventured there...bit scared
Maybe you could induct me

How brilliant going with others from the board though...Bet you had the best adventure??

And an adventure with a small audience with Matt, Dom & Chris...how perfect...I'd have been calling in childcare favours all over the place for that I tell you

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2010 23:09

I did. I was one the phone to mum immediately begging her to pick the boys up from school because I had to go to Paris. The venue was tiny and I was close enough to see the expressions on their faces. They were having a great time.
The Muse board can be a bit of a hostile place at times, bit like MN. You just have to know where to go and where to stay away from. let me know if you sign up and I can give you a crash course

Valpollicella · 02/08/2010 23:18

Ah am well versed in MN... Will let you know.

They always look like they're having a great time... Esp Dom...Smiliest ever drummer

Lol at had to go to Paris. I'd have been the same!

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2010 23:28

Dom looks slightly crazed behind the kit. Chris usually looks vaguely bored. And he never dresses up in silly costumes. Did you see what they wore at Oxegen festival? Classic

Valpollicella · 02/08/2010 23:39

Saw it. Loved it

But that's the norm isn't it? I spent a stooopid amount of time in studios before I had DS and all drummers looked deranged when behind the kit, and all bass players bored Tis the band stereotypes, non?

LyraSilvertongue · 02/08/2010 23:47

Sigh. I always wanted to be a sound engineer but somehow ended up in journalism instead.

Valpollicella · 03/08/2010 00:01

Ah, twas not me that was the engineer but DP Been around a lot of his random famous recordings...they used to be muttering in the corner 'Can we pleeease go to the pub now??'

I was just the funny girl who was happy to go out to buy pizza, fags and booze for all

Best weekend ever was when Tim Staffel (orginal member of Queen) came down...

omg

Valpollicella · 03/08/2010 00:03

val.pollicella at yahoo dot co.uk

LyraSilvertongue · 03/08/2010 00:28

Newspapers and news agency. Took redundancy at the end of last year though so no job at the moment for the first time in 17 years

Valpollicella · 03/08/2010 00:53

Gah How shite for you Lyra

LyraSilvertongue · 13/08/2010 21:47

Anyone going to Wembley/Manchester got their tickets yet? I'm expecting tickets for the first Wembley date on Monday but still waiting nervously for the tickets for the second. I need them before I go on hols and it's getting a bit tight time-wise.

Stumbleine · 17/08/2010 15:52

Hi Lyra, our Manchester tickets arrived at the weekend. Think seetickets tend to leave it a little on the late side.

LyraSilvertongue · 17/08/2010 19:21

Got my Wembley tickets for the 10th but not the 11th Sad
I sold two spares to someone in Portugal and someone in France and I'd like to be able to post them to them before I go on holiday. looking unlikely now.

poshsinglemum · 23/08/2010 21:38

Hi all,

I have to join the congregation too. Saw them at Glastonbury and was mind-blowing!

maddiemostmerry · 27/08/2010 16:51

Have got the email for despatch of the Sat Wembley show. Ticket is for son and I thought I had forgot to order it. He will be over the moon but won't know until Mon as he is at Reading, with out a phone.

Hope all of you going love the showGrin

summery · 05/09/2010 18:17

Was anyone at the Manchester gig last night? - totally awesome and Editors were great too.

Stumbleine · 06/09/2010 15:10

I was, summery! They were amazing as expected :-) Was very pleased with how near the front I managed to get. Really enjoyed Band of Skulls.

My aching old bones are not however, impressed with the walk back into the city centre we did as couldn't get on to a tram for love nor money!

summery · 06/09/2010 17:41

Hey Stumbleine, glad you enjoyed it too.

We also walked back to our hotel which was near the Trafford Centre, took us over an hour and I had to take my boots off half way there and walk in socks - oh my poor feet.
