I can't be the only one who loves this band more than life itself (well almost).
I only just discovered them a month ago. I can't believe I missed so much.

Right, I'm off to do an hour on the stepper in front of Haarp.

Can't believe I missed this thread!
Plug-in Baby is the best Muse song... end of. That riff...

And 2nd...Knights of Cydonia...

Ah... galloping through the galaxy on my electro stallion...

harleyd · 02/05/2009 15:44

oh i dunno...im currently howling singing beautifully to invincible atm

LyraSilvertongue · 22/05/2009 23:05

No way. Stockholm Syndrome is the best. Or maybe New Born.

LyraSilvertongue · 22/05/2009 23:05

Actually, I'm loving The Groove atm.

GypsyMoth · 22/05/2009 23:07

theres a grandma at school who collects grandkids,,.....she wears muse tour t shirts, think she's related to a band member. where are they all from and who are they?

LyraSilvertongue · 22/05/2009 23:13

I think they're from Devon. Matthew Bellamy, Dominic Howard and Chris Wolstenhulme.

senua · 23/05/2009 11:03

I lurve Muse. I got into them a few years ago, about the time of BH&R, and thought about seeing them live but didn't. Have been regretting it ever since.
Which is the best website for news of the next tour? (without having to sign up to some embarrassingly teenagerish fan club)

I see that they have tweeted that the next album will be called The Resistance and that it will be 'symphonic' which sounds musetastic. [can't wait emoticon]

harleyd · 23/05/2009 11:19

apparently they are special guests to u2 this summer in america
and then they are touring in the autumn yay

LyraSilvertongue · 23/05/2009 13:52

at musetastic. It sounds fantastic. Can't wait till its released. I'll be the one at the front of the queue outside HMV having camped out all night .

ohdearwhatamess · 23/05/2009 14:01

I'm a huge fan too. Most excited at the thought of a new album.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/06/2009 21:09

Tour dates have now been announced and tickets go on sale at 9am tomorrow (clashes with school run).
I'll be getting two for the O2 in London.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/06/2009 21:11

I;m wondering how quickly they'll sell out. Will I have time to get back from school? Should I give the boys the day off so I don't have to do the school run?

harleyd · 05/06/2009 07:06

im out this morning
cant book online
will be trying to get thru by phone [panic]

LyraSilvertongue · 05/06/2009 09:26

Ticketmaster sold out by the time I got back from school run at 9.10am

senua · 05/06/2009 09:34

Yay!!!!

LyraSilvertongue · 05/06/2009 09:42

I got front standing tickets for the O2 on November 13 - but I had to pay £174!!!!!!! Face value is £45.

harleyd · 06/06/2009 14:17

why did you have to pay so much?

i didnt get lucky either
but still determined to go...will be checking out gumtree and stuff

squilly · 06/06/2009 14:27

I want to like them. I liked a track or two of theirs a few years back, but they really seem to be trying just a leetle bit too hard for me.

The good song was the one with the video where they had the mirrors, but everything else I've heard is just too thrashy for me.

I'm generally a fan of whiney/howley/thrashy music too, so am disappointed in either myself (for perhaps getting old) or them for not being a bit more sophisticated.

LyraSilvertongue · 07/06/2009 18:44

Harley, I bought them from one of these 'sold out tickets' sites. A complete rip-off, I know, but I really wanted standing tickets and I knew they'd get snapped up fast.

Squilly, your post isn't very worshipful

squilly · 08/06/2009 13:23

Point taken Lyra. It's like Buddhism. I like the idea of it, but the practicalities just ain't working for me.

I like the fact that other people worship though...Muse are definitely not on my 'avoid' list.

LyraSilvertongue · 09/06/2009 19:13

Maybe you should give them another go. There's five albums worth of music out there (with a sixth due this summer) and it's all very varied. Their older stuff is very different from their newer stuff, ditto singles/album tracks.

squilly · 09/06/2009 21:08

Thanks Lyra...I might have to check out Youtube...see if I can get over the last couple of singles I heard.

They're usually exactly my kind of band, nice loud thrashy guitars and banging drums...I'm off to check em now. I may become a convert yet

LyraSilvertongue · 09/06/2009 21:43

Try this one. I think it was a single

LyraSilvertongue · 09/06/2009 21:44

One of my favourites
