I can't be the only one who loves this band more than life itself (well almost).
I only just discovered them a month ago. I can't believe I missed so much.

Just have a nice holiday? That would be a bit gutting though. I wouldn't travel unless it was a place I wanted to go anyway.
Having said that, I'm going to Manchester.

MellonCollieMother · 23/11/2009 22:01

Fair enough MBM, I congratulate you on your awesome fandomness!!

MattBellamysMuse · 26/11/2009 12:20

Paris pre-sale on now. To buy or not to buy?

MattBellamysMuse · 26/11/2009 12:34

Oh dear, another rash purchase. I now have so many tickets I can't count them all (and £0 left in the bank).

youcantlabelme · 27/11/2009 19:50

Hi squishabelle,

Yes that was me- saw the mighty Muse on Tuesday at the palais de jordie (or some such spelling!!)in Barcelona. Was v fab- excellent set, lights, sound the whole lot.

Only downer was there doesn't seem to be a smoking ban in public places in Spain, so the concert was viewed through a cloud of cigarette smoke- yuk.

As for flights etc being changed- just had to put up with extra costs incurred or not go.

senua · 27/11/2009 23:57

Did anyone else see them on Johnathan Ross tonight? When are they going to sort out the sound in that studio - it sounded so flat (not as in opposite-to-sharp but as in not dynamic).
I remember a few years ago seeing Rev & the Makers when they had just cracked the charts and thinking what a crap live band they were. They seemed to disappear after their JR appearance. After watching several bands underperform on his prog over the years I have decided it is the studio or the sound engineer or summat - but it's definitely JR and not the bands.

MattBellamysMuse · 28/11/2009 00:00

They did sound flat. Muse usually have such a big sound and that didn't come across in the JR studio.

MattBellamysMuse · 04/01/2010 18:22

Did any of you see them on TOTP? Wonderful.

Manyofhorror · 04/01/2010 18:51

Hiya MBM (It's Queensfool/MellonCollie). I did see them on TOTP and thought they were ace!

MattBellamysMuse · 05/01/2010 00:09

You a Biffy fan too? Mon the Biff!!!

Manyofhorror · 05/01/2010 09:40

I am indeed! Really wanted to see them this year but have been too cash strapped so far.

MattBellamysMuse · 05/01/2010 18:54

I saw them for the first time last year and I'm hoping to repeat the experience this year.
Simon Neil spent most of the gig naked from the waist up

MattBellamysMuse · 19/01/2010 22:23

An update of my ticket fiasco last November - my bank has credited my account with the amount I lost to the scam artists so at least I'm no longer out of pocket. Still wasted many hours and went through a lot of stress though.

Twas this thread.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/02/2010 20:25

The boys won best band at the NME awards on Wednesday night.
It's being broadcast tonight on C4 at 11.25pm.

senua · 26/02/2010 20:36

Ooh, thanks for that Lyra. I'll try to stay awake to catch it. It seems that they're not performing though. It's Kas'n'Brian (again! didn't they do the Brits too)

LyraSilvertongue · 26/02/2010 20:51

I know Kasabian, Big Pink and Paul Weller performed. Not sure who else.
Jarvis Cocker hosting and Slash and Lily Allen giving out the gongs.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/02/2010 20:54

There's a funny vid on the NME site of Matt Bellamy being told he'd beaten Dom to the Sexiest Male award.

senua · 26/02/2010 20:59

Big Pink were their support band when I saw them.

I thought that it was a bit bizarre in the Brits when Muse and JLS were in the same category!

LyraSilvertongue · 26/02/2010 21:08

That was just wrong, wrong, wrong. I'm glad kasabian won if it had to be anyone other than Muse.

Where did you see Muse? I was at the O2 on November 13th. Big Pink were rubbish, not that I could see them through the towers from where I was sitting.
