Fantastic night at The Jayhawks gig last night. I can highly recommend their music to anybody who like great songs well played.

Magazine are finally touring, I've waited 30 years to see them so I am beside myself with excitement (even though Barry Adamson isn't joining them)

munkymaz · 28/08/2011 13:07

Just got tix to see Incubus in Nov, soooo excited!

Colliewollydoodle · 28/08/2011 13:14

I sit in my bl back garden and listen to green man, but off to End of the Road this week! Ah feels like end of the summer doesn't it.

myalias · 28/08/2011 13:25

So far this year I have seen
Maroon 5
The Script
Take That
Jamiroquai
Barry Manilow
I am going to see in the next few months
George Michael
Beverley Knight
Friendly Fires

puzzletree · 28/08/2011 22:57

Colliewollydoodle I'm off to EOTR too! Not quite allowing myself to get too excited just yet as we had our other summer festival cancelled at the last minute due to site flooding :( (but secretly very excited!). Who are you excited about seeing? I'd happily see anyone except Joanna Newsome :)

It's gone a bit quiet has this thread!
Is nothing doing???

My Joe Bonamassa gig got put back until next April (gutted)

MY ds has given my Exampe ticket to his mate in an exchange for DS to got and see Tincyh Stryder.

I'm thinking of getting tickets for Tori Amos this Friday but we'll see.

It's a while before anything comes up for me.

I went to see Arctic Monkeys last weekend and it was AWESOME. I'm going to stalk see them again in Lille, but that's all the way in February 2012. I was actually looking for Miles Kane tickets, I didn't realise his tour was over. I was very happy when I realised he was supporting AM on their tour, it's like 2 for the price of one! Grin

I've seen tickets for Bombay Bicycle Club in March (I think) but can't afford them at the moment. Hopefully they will still be available in a few weeks!

I'm also anxiously waiting for the line-ups to be confirmed for the 2012 festivals before I decide which one I want to go to. Any recommendations from previous experience? Reading? Leeds? Isle of Wight?

minxofmancunia · 07/11/2011 14:53

I haven't been to much recently, I used to be a gig fanatic!

However I have one gig next summer that I'm very much looking forward to....

It's the Stone Roses at Heaton Park on the 29th June 2012!!!!!!!

sailorsgal · 09/11/2011 17:27

These guys have been around a while but saw the Kenny Wayne Shepherd Band on Monday night in Camden and they were amazing. Heared them on Zoe Ball's show and think they are fab. First gig in the UK I think.

Stitchthis · 11/11/2011 22:51

Hi. I've just been to see Adam Ant. Awesome.

Feenie · 11/11/2011 23:10

Ooh, I saw him in York in June, and he was brilliant then, too. Am going again on the 10th of Dec.

Stitchthis · 11/11/2011 23:37

Lucky thing EnvyEnvy

upahill · 12/11/2011 00:24

I didn't know he was touring!! I would have looked out for that one!

Did anyone have white tipex stripes on their face?

Ok just google tour dates and my shift rota!
Turns out AA is in Manchester on Wednesday and I am on a 9/5.
Will check ticket status tomorrow (or later on today as it is tomorrow now!)

Feenie · 12/11/2011 00:32

Yes they did! It was lame, tbh (sorry). He does a lot of his old punk stuff, it's ace.

upahill · 12/11/2011 00:41

Does he do Prince Charming?

I want to go looking like Diana Dors from the video!!!

May try and pursuade my 15year old DS to come with me!

Feenie · 12/11/2011 10:36
Smile
kdiddy · 13/11/2011 23:09

Woo a gig thread!

I'm off to see Friendly Fires this week, then Fleet Foxes & Paul McCartney in December. First baby due in jan so will be taking it easy until the Stone Roses in June!

Thankfully it's a Glasto fallow year, anyone would think we'd timed the baby around that ... although we didn't, honest!! ... Hmm ...

upahill · 13/11/2011 23:16

That's fab feenie Thanks!!!

Went to see Laura Marling on 26th Oct at London Central Hall. So completely wonderful I can't tell you.
Off to see Low for the 3rd time next April.
Can't say I find the time for more - although in my pre children era was a serial gig goer. Lloyd Cole, Stone Roses, The Fall, MBV, Cocteau Twins, House of Love Happy Mondays REM blah blah sob sob.............
No, really, I'm totally ok with it. If I can get wheeled out to a gig every so often with hubster then I'm pretty happy these days.

ps loving the link feenie!! I had a giant cardboard cut out of Adam Ant on my bedroom door for years............. must ask mum where that went......

LyraSilvertongue · 01/01/2012 23:21

In the last few months I've seen Kasabian (amazing), Opeth (not amazing) and The Vaccines (great). Next month I'm seeing one of my favourite bands, Swedish prog metallers Pain of Salvation.

upahill · 12/04/2012 21:41

I need an update!!
how did the Rammstein concert go?

I really wanted to go and nobody could swop a shift at work and I didn't have much annual leave left Sad
