Suede.

o2.

December.

I might actually wee myself with excitement on the journey up. Last saw them in the 90s.

Wish I could get out to see more live music, but money (lack of it) tells me otherwise Sad

Envy at Arcade Fire and I am Arrows. Also Ocean Colour Scene, saw them back in 90s too. Fab.

LyraSilvertongue · 14/08/2010 14:48

Yes, I'd take them to a festival, one of the smaller ones for our first time. Didn't make it to any this year Sad

maddiemostmerry · 14/08/2010 14:59

I'm another one going to see The Manic's.
Where are you seeing them, upahill?
My 17 year loves Enter Shakari and has seen them loads, have you seen The Reading Festival you tubes of them last year?

Lyra and the muse mob have you received your Muse Wembley tickets yet? According to my son I ordered him one for his birthday but I can find no trace of email confirmation. I have the horrible feeling that I forgot to do order the ticketShock

upahill · 14/08/2010 15:49

I'm going to Blackburn to see the Manics.
I'll check out youtube for Enter Shakari in a bit.

DS still not budging on the gig though!! Sad

upahill · 14/08/2010 19:55

MICE PARADE, 13th October

I am wetting myself with excitement. They have been top of my wish list for ages, in that 'I never thought it would happen' way. And now DP and I have got tickets! Just need to ask my dad to look after DS for the evening...

whoknows2010 · 14/08/2010 20:02

Linkin Park at the NEC in November- looking forward to that!

I saw Skunk Anansie at the Wolves Civic last winter and they were ace, would recommend them Grin

upahill · 14/08/2010 20:10

I didn't notice Linkin Park were touring.
Mind you my November is getting pretty full at the moment!

LyraSilvertongue · 14/08/2010 22:16

bottyburpthebarbarian · 14/08/2010 22:24

bottyburpthebarbarian · 14/08/2010 22:37

Shameless plug for Imelda - she's the sister-in-law of a friend and I think she's fab

upahill · 14/08/2010 23:46

LOL Lyra!! I know the songs and I really want to like them, Crikey I've tried so hard to, I've even got a double cd of theirs and loaded it on t'pod BUT they just don't cut it for me.

Now let me tell you about NIN's new project 'How to destroy angel's'!!!! Grin

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 14/08/2010 23:58

Don't cut it? Did you watch the Dead Star video?
Grin
I've heard good things about NIN. Convert me.

btw, which double CD. There isn't one afaik.

upahill · 15/08/2010 00:15

this is the muse cd

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 15/08/2010 00:18

Well no wonder you haven't got into them from that. It's a collection of b-sides and live tracks. Not for the uninitiated. I suggest you start with a proper studio album. Absolution is in my opinion their best but it depends what you like. Heavy, melodic, symphonic, Spanish-guitarish, Muse do the full range.
