ooh we might be going to Bright Eyes too. Also just got tickets for Sufjan Stevens- yay!

PfftTheMagicDragon · 26/02/2011 16:21

where is that, natto?

Am planning on HMV Institute if I go - They do annoy me but Road To Joy is one of my favourite songs ever.

natto · 26/02/2011 17:10

Manchester. Haven't seen Bright Eyes live for years and didn't think much then to be honest but my dp is a fan. Sufjan Stevens in Manchester too and definitely great live.

FourFingeredKitkat · 26/02/2011 17:14

Elbow in Nottingham next month!

upahill · 26/02/2011 20:46

whatkungfuthat · 10/03/2011 13:34

Thanks upahill, I will go there directly Grin

starfleet · 10/03/2011 13:35

The Specials in October and that's it so far for me.

whatkungfuthat · 11/03/2011 08:00

Clive Pig and the Hopeful Chinamen next weekend but I'd be amazed if anyone remembers them. Its part of a local punk event this month.

Lu0509 · 11/03/2011 17:00

Next week I'm going to see the Levellers and The Wonderstuff! Last night went to O2 Academy in Brum to see some local up and coming bands. Can't beat going to gigs, I love 'em :)

sfxmum · 11/03/2011 17:02

Sufjan Stevens and Billy Bragg both in May different days at Royal Festival Hall

whatkungfuthat · 11/03/2011 17:13

OMG the Wonderstuff, I loved Give Give Give Me More More More Smile I think I saw them supporting Zodiac Mindwarp back in the late 80's.

MegGriffin · 18/03/2011 17:19

I'm off to the Wonderstuff and Levellers tomorrow and I am so excited!

LyraSilvertongue · 18/03/2011 20:39

Everything Everything in May.
Still trying to get tix for Queens of the Stone Age at The Roundhouse.
Then just the Foos in July and the Reading Festival in August. I need to get some more gigs lined up.

natto · 23/04/2011 16:42

Reporting back after a couple of recent gigs, both brilliant!
Lykke Li, rocking the foxy widow look to an adoring crowd.
And Simone Felice in fine voice, charming and chatty.

Next gig for me is Alela Diane in may, looking forward to seeing her live for the first time.

natto · 23/04/2011 16:49

Also wondering if anyone is going to see Battles? we're thinking about it...

purepurple · 23/04/2011 16:50

whatkungfuthat, did you enjoy TV Smith? I have seen him a couple of times, he never fails to please and he is such a nice man.
The only gig that I've got lined up this year, so far is Imelda May in October Sad
I'm not even going to Rebellion this year [sob] [busad]
I wanted to go and see PIL in June but DH is on a business trip

upahill · 23/04/2011 18:48

Hoping to go and see Black Country Communion.

My work is all over the place at the moment. I am expecting to be made redundant. If I knew for sure I would book a load of gigs that I fancy. However I have jobs penciled in if in case I don't get made redundant.

It is stiffling my gig going life.

Went to see Saxon last week. Great show. Wolfsbane supported but was in Academy2 at Manchester which was way too small!

Oh I fancy seeling TV on the radio.
Joe Bonamassa tickets for Blackpool have sold out. Black Crowes have sold out as well so I'm on abit of a downer about that!!

taking ds (6) to his first concert in May....We are going to see Olly Murs

Its not very sophisticated .. but we are excited anyway

musicluvvie · 18/05/2011 14:21

I can't decide between Green Man, Latitude or End Of The Road this year. I've been to Glastonbury loads before but I want to try something new.

natto · 18/05/2011 17:23

musicluvvie- I can recommend End of the Road. it's so chilled out, the music is fantastic, and the setting is lovely, so small and civilised :) although I'd happily go to your other choices. depends which line-up you prefer really...

natto · 18/05/2011 17:24

anyone seen Sufjan Stevens yet? we're going to Manchester tomorrow, very excited!

upahill · 18/05/2011 18:10

Well I'm not sure if there is going to be any singing but I am going to see Mark Radcliffe tongight.

(wonder if he will do any Shirehorses stuff or just ramble on for an hour or so!)
