Yet another thread for neurodivergent mumsnetters.

Lots of links in old threads.

Anyone is welcome, it's not just about autism.

I've managed a whole crappy afternoon with the DC without losing it!
Now listening to music to calm down, but I'm quite proud of myself.
Ds1 thinks he's going to die as dd's boyfriend is coming round tomorrow night.

You and ds1 can die/dye together then Grin
What colour?

Thank you she is fine now thankfully. The nurse did something to make it go back in, the guilt is awful though. It always seems to be me who accidentally hurts the dc.

Would that work on my hair do you think? It's not bleached or anything

Thanks Grin

Good luck!

Albadross · 02/11/2016 19:54

Just come from therapy - more discussion of possible ASD. Had a rough one with trains today, London is crawling and it was queues to get in/out of tube. As soon as I start getting overheated I panic. Also had my end of year appraisal - HATE. Nothing of any sense comes out of my mouth Blush

PigPigTrotters · 02/11/2016 20:16

Hypothetical question: if you ask someone if they can do something, eg. pick up their child from an activity at 9pm, and they reply "maybe", would that piss you off?
When it's clear you want a yes/no answer because you want to cook your tea, maybe doesn't really cut it!

Yes Pig that would annoy me too. You kind of need to know one way or the other, it's not like asking someone to stop by the shop to pick up some bread and milk on the way home.

FaithAscending · 02/11/2016 21:08

That is amazing rat! I've tried all sorts in the past. Joined SW two weeks ago, I've already lost 7lb! Smile My exercise options are limited because I still have this abdo pain. I like running but I don't think I'd manage it at the moment.

Delete I hope it settles quickly for your DD.

I have purple hair at the moment, just at the front. I luffs it!

DeleteOrDecay · 02/11/2016 21:19

Back to the hair thing, I get mine cut by a lady who runs her own salon at home. She converted her garage, it's pretty cool. But my mum books my appointments for me as I hate it and only go as a necessity and because I'm not brave enough to cut it myself

I lost half a stone last month but due to dd1s birthday and stuff I've not been doing so well for the past couple of weeks, I want to lose another half stone by Christmas. Well done on the loss faith, that's great. I loved SW but it was also a bit to restrictive for me and my fussy ways so now I calorie count using MFP.

FaithAscending · 02/11/2016 21:24

Thank you Delete. Funnily enough, I've found the opposite. MFP advised such a low calorie meal plan that I instantly felt restricted! I tried WW for 18 months but that didn't click for me. With SW, I'm enjoying the free foods and DH is joining in so meal planning is going well.

DeleteOrDecay · 02/11/2016 21:36

I missed my white bread far too much on SWBlush but Its great that it's working for you. Good luck!

FaithAscending · 02/11/2016 21:45

I'm GF anyway so not such an issue for me! Actually GF whole bread is nicer than the white. I do think ultimately it's about finding what works for you.

DeleteOrDecay · 02/11/2016 21:54

I've never tried GF food, although I accidentally bought dd's a GF gingerbread snowman in sainsburys cafe the other day and they seemed to enjoy it regardlessGrin

FaithAscending · 02/11/2016 22:04

I've been GF for 8 years now so I've got used to it. The bread isn't great, much nicer toasted. I've got used to the pasta. You can even get GF frozen pizza, which tastes pretty good! I cook from scratch a lot these days. It's basically down to planning ahead, having plenty of herbs and spices in the cupboard, I buy meat from the local butcher and we eat lots of potatoes and rice anyway.

autisticrat · 02/11/2016 22:07

Nice one Faith! Half a stone in two weeks is awesome :) And Delete, half a stone too! Grin Have to get myself in your mindsets, get myself down in that healthy weight range.

HerRoyalFattyness · 02/11/2016 23:08

I need to start losing weight instead of just thinking about it Grin

I'm off to the nursery today. It's my job to rearrange the cosy corner/reading area and improve it. I live books so it's just my kind of thing. Problem is, I'll be annoyed if anyone messes it up!
