The guys at Olay have been following this thread with great interest. Some of you have raised queries regarding various aspects of the product and I'm delighted to say Olay have given us the following response:-

"Thank you for all your comments about Wake Up Wonder.

  1. Fragrance ? likes and dislikes of fragrance is obviously a very personal opinion. Olay have spent a large amount of time working with consumers during the formulation phase of the product to find a fragrance that is liked by the majority of women
  1. Wake up wonder was created in response to women wanting a lighter formulation available from the much loved Total Effects range. Olay have found that many women tend to use make-up with SPF over their day moisturiser, which gives them the SPF protection as well as the desirable usage experience and performance from their moisturiser.
  1. Sizing ? The bottle has a long slim design, but it is actually on par millage wise with all other similarly positioned moisturisers on the market
  1. Reactions ? As with any product, occasionally some consumers may have a reaction to a particular ingredient or product. Olay takes consumer feedback very seriously and have a dedicated consumer relations department with experts who are happy to talk through any reactions or concerns ? please call them on 0800 917 719
  1. Packaging ? Mumsnet are one of the first women in the country to try new Total Effects Wake up Wonder, so we are really interested with all your feedback and comments. Thanks for bringing it to our attention - we will look into this further!
  1. Tingling ? Wake up wonder contains a sensate which can give a slight tingling sensation to the skin upon application

Thanks again, the Olay Team "

elliemental · 04/06/2010 20:31

ofddly Protect and perfect brings me out in pimply rash but this didn;t...

WRT to the SPF thing, I don't wear foundation every day as it needs more time, and position in front of a mirror, than I have. So I use spf/moisturiser and then some concealer on the worst bits.

WinkyWinkola · 04/06/2010 20:39

I like the product although I don't think it's made me look younger. That would take a lot more than a cream.

It's light but rich enough to calm my dry skin.

I've enjoyed using it.

I do wish products wouldn't have ridiculous anti ageing claims on them. I'd take them a lot more seriously if they said, "Lovely cream for your skin. Smells nice and makes it soft. Enjoy it." instead of screaming silly promises.

whomovedmychocolate · 04/06/2010 21:29

We're mums I have time for cream or make up, but not both.

Frankly if it's an extra faff, I'll just stick to being haglike. No bugger notices anyway

cyb · 04/06/2010 21:58

jack I'm with you, dont wear foundation everyday so need SPf from my moisturiser, esp in the summer

maxybrown · 05/06/2010 16:43

I just put sun cream on as and when needed, never thought about having it in a moisturiser, but then I have never ever in my life been anywhere near a make up counter or product counter so maybe that's why!
