At the same time as giving their feedback on this thread, testers completed a survey on their experience of testing the Morrisons nappies with their child.

84% would recommend the New Baby Nappies, 83% would recommend the Ultra Dry Nappies and 85% would recommend the Ultra Dry Pants to a friend or family member, therefore Morrisons Nutmeg nappies and pants have been awarded the Mumsnet Rated badge.

This is the feedback thread for the Mumsnet users who have been testing nappies or pull up pants from the Morrisons ‘Nutmeg’ range.

Testers trialled Nutmeg New Baby Nappies, Nutmeg Ultra Dry Nappies or Nutmeg Ultra Dry Pants.

We tested ultra dry nappies size 4. They performed really well. I’m usually reluctant to change from our normal nappies as find other brands leak but we had no leakage with these

We tried the pull up pants. Very happy with the fit. No leakage day or night and they kept him nice and dry

Size 5 for my two year old. I initially wasn’t that keen when opening the packet, I thought they were quite flimsy. However, they did not leak or cause wetness. They were a bit small for my very averagely sized toddler.

They did not leak or cause irritation.

She was fine. Although she preferred to choose other, more colourful nappies from those we had at home.

We tried size 5 pants. The were lovely and soft, stretchy and good absorbency overnight, keeping skin dry. I found they appeared slightly smaller than out usual size 5 as in the didn’t pull up as high, but still fit my ds fine.

1. What did you like about the Nutmeg nappies?

I liked that they were soft and stretchy, good value and kept my son dry overnight. He has sensitive skin and they didn’t irritate his skin. I also like the sticky tag on the back for rolling up after use, which some pants don’t have.

He’s too young to say but seemed comfy in them and was able to pull them up and down himself when using the toilet before bedtime.

1. If you could change or improve anything about the Nutmeg nappies, what would that be and why?

A variety of nice prints/pictures would be nice. My ds likes to choose from a few pictures each night - it makes putting his bedtime pants on less of a battle.

Yes I would recommend them.

I tested the Nutmeg Ultra Dry Pants size 6 on all three of my children, The fit was excellent especially on my 6 year old who requires a nighttime pull up due too her health issues (constipation), the pants fitted nicely on all three children, there was no leakage or irritation from these pants 10/10 for me!!

I liked the quality of the pants, they felt strong yet soft too touch. The design was also nice, more importantly there was no leaking nappies that I usually have with other brands!

1. How did your child feel wearing the Nutmeg nappies? My children liked them, my youngest more so as she is the one who seems too have leaky nappys but with these pants she didn't, she was happy she didn't have too change her outfit because of a leaking nappy!

My daughter would love a princess design (obvs..) and my son would love a car design! other than that, no nothing they were very good!

I used the baby dry nappies, I didn’t use these at night, I only used them in the day. They did keep toddler dry however I found that they bulked and hanged a lot when full.

They felt quite plasticky and as mentioned above when full were quite bulky

They wouldn’t be my first choice to recommend however wouldn’t not recommend them either. They were average.

The pants. Fit really well, no real movement in the night and nice and tight in the morning still. Her skin didn't feel damp at all

Size 6 nappies. They were a good fit on my 15 month old baby, who is just moving into size 6 and I felt like he'd have plenty growing room in this size too. We've had no leakage at all during the day. I didn't use them at night as I wasn't sure you could. I know some nappies specify overnight or 12 hours, but as these didn't, I just stuck with our usual overnight nappy. I don't see why they wouldn't be good overnight though. No problems with skin dryness or rash at all and my baby has very sensitive skin and eczema, so thumbs up.

I was really struck at how soft they felt to the touch and overall I think they are great nappies. I also noticed that they didn't have a chemical smell which I have noticed on certain brands.

My baby seems happy in them!

In terms of the printed design on the nappies, I noticed the pack I received was the same cute little baby face graphic on all of them. I also noticed this was a white baby and I think having graphics of babies from different ethnic backgrounds would improve the design and help all parents to feel included.

Yes, definitely. They're better than other supermarket own brand nappies that I use.

We tested size 6 on my average size toddler. We didn't find the fit great, they were a bit on the small side. Bit of leakage during the night, and found they needed changing more frequently than other brands.

Liked the feel of them, very soft. We have had issues with other brands of nappies before being quite scratchy as DS has very sensitive skin

Would depend on the size of the child as I feel they did come up small.

I tried the baby size 2, I thought they were quite a narrow fit, but no leaks considering they were quite tight.

They looked comfy and soft on the inside, I was very impressed how they were inside for a shop brand.

A line for when they need changing, I know you can tell when they were but it would be an added bonus to have this on them.

I would try the next size up first to see how the fit is, but I think I would recommend them

We used the ultra dry nappies in size 5. Fit was good, no leaks and skin seemed dry.

2. The ease of putting them on- my baby always wants to stand at the moment so pant were a lot easier!

We tested the size 6 nappies, overall they performed well, the same as our regular supermarket brand so I would definitely buy them again. The skin was generally dry, some dampness following an overnight wear.

I’d always prefer a larger number of images, I hate getting stuck in a ‘I want the penguin ones!’ situation when there’s only one or two images, mixing up would give less opportunity for them getting used to one thing.. but I’m being very picky!

Size 5 nappies
The fit was ok but I found they slid down a little when full of wee.
The didn’t leak but seemed to expand a lot especially at the front when my little boy did a wee (perhaps less of an issue with a girl?)
After a nighttime they were very full and the skin under and around the nappy felt a little damp, but that’s just the case sometimes I think generally.

The design, they were soft, the sizing seemed about right. They are on the narrow side but that suited us.

I like an indicator line to show when it’s full, rather than just squidging to see how wet it is !

Size 6 nappy pants, they were only worn at night, the first couple leaked and they left a slight red rash but apart from that the rest seemed OK.

They were soft and the size was perfect for my dd.

She wasn't mad keen on wearing them but was okay after she had them on.

They were a bit plain, which meant I couldn't say dd look at this pretty picture etc.

They are okay for the price, I would recommend trying different brands including this one.

We tried size 4 nappies. They fitted well and seemed to keep bottom area reasonably dry. We experienced no leakage which on a long car journey was impressive. We also tried at night and had no leaks

Yes they are very absorbent and would definitely switch if cheaper than pampers.

We used the size 6 pants for my 5 year old. They fit really well and kept his skin dry. We used them overnight, and on one night they became oversaturated.

They were soft and comfortable and the designs weren't garish.

We tested size 5 Ultra Dry Nappy Pants, they fit really well, we had no leaks and they seemed to absorb wees really well.

My child was quite happy wearing them and picked them over the other brand we used before testing these.

Yes, they were absolutely fantastic and I much preferred them to the expensive brand we were using before!

We used the nutmeg ultra dry nappies for a 20 month old.

They were brilliant- really thin but amazingly absorbent. My son seemed really happy in them and we had no leaks even through the night.

Size 3. Fit well with no leakage at all and kept skin nice and soft.

I tested the size 6 ultra dry nappies. They fitted well but I found the back of the nappy travelled inwards on 20 month old DD so there was a bit of a danger of leakage where she was hanging out at the back. Skin dryness was fine but I would only use this in the daytime as we had a couple of leaks at night.

The fit round the waist was spot on - not too tight but also not saggy even after DD had run around playing in them.

She was quite happy. I received no complaints. She has quite sensitive skin but there was no sign of nappy rash in these.

1. If you could change or improve anything about the Nutmeg nappies, what would that be and why?

I would improve the fit at the back so there's no gaping.

Yes but probably as daytime only nappies.

I tested the size 4 nappy pants on my 25 month old. They were generally a good fit, but like most pull ups, one side would sometimes end up between her butt cheeks. Perhaps a wider bum area, like regular nappies, would prevent this. We had no leaks day or night and her skin stayed pretty dry, if a bit warm.

I liked the fact they are slim like Pampers rather than bulky like Little Angels nappies. I also like the tab on the back.

She seemed very comfortable in them.

A wider bum area to prevent wedgies and the tab being stuck on all the way as the flap of plastic occasionally caught on clothes.

I tested the ultra dry nappies, they fit well, we had no leaks! His skin was dry even after an overnight with no changes.
