This activity is now closed

Disney are looking for as many families as possible to sign up to take part in their new 24 Hour Challenge as part of Disney’s Healthy living commitment. The challenge is to clock up a total of 24 hours worth of activity with your team between June and September.

Here is some more information from Disney: “This summer Disney invites you to take part in the 24 Hour Challenge, a FREE, virtual challenge inspired by Incredibles 2, that you can do anywhere, at any time. Every week teams will have a chance to win Incredible prizes, including 10 weekly prize bundles worth £200 each and, if you complete all 24 hours, a holiday to Disneyland Paris to experience and take part in the Magic Run weekend, from 21st – 23rd September.

Families can clock up time doing activities they already enjoy (like walking, swimming, playing in the park), use our “missions” (inspired by the characters from the Disney/Pixar film Incredibles 2) as ideas to get started, or try something new!”

Please follow these steps to sign up to the challenge:

  1. Sign up to the Disney 24 Hour Challenge, create your team page & please select 'Mumsnet' when asked where you heard about the Challenge.
  2. Once you have signed up via Disney, please fill in this 3 question survey
  3. Share on the thread below your ideas of how your team will complete the challenge

Everyone who completes these 3 steps will be in with the chance of winning one of the following prizes:

  • £100 voucher of their choice (from a list)
  • PLUS anyone who retweets the MNHQ tweet about this thread using the #Disney24HourChallenge will be in with the chance of winning a £100 voucher of their choice (from a list) & an Incredibles 2 bundle!

ALSO everyone who leaves feedback on the 24 Hour Challenge (this feedback thread will be sent round in an email towards the end of the challenge) will be in with the chance of winning one of the following prizes:

  • Family ticket to the West End musical Aladdin + £200 for travel and accommodation**
  • Family ticket to Disney on Ice + £200 for travel and accommodation*
  • £100 voucher of their choice (from a list)

Thanks and good luck!

Signed up before I knew about this thread, we have been playing in the sunshine, but also down the allotment gardening together, and cooling down in the local swim baths Smile

We've just been doing it bit by bit. With the beautiful weather it has been so much easier. My daughter has also taken up a few fun sports too (Dance, Football and she's learnt how to ride a bike). We are trying to be a little bit more active! Also, some of these activities are great as little party games for when her friends come round for play dates too :)

goldenretriever1978 · 09/07/2018 06:12

24 hours of exercise each during the time period, which I certainly don't usually do :)

welshmardymum · 09/07/2018 11:38

Well if the sunny weather continues we will be outside walking on the beach or maybe even swimming in the sea ..... plus i want to learn to play tennis (whos been watching Wimbledon!) so this should spur me on for that!

FitzChivalry · 09/07/2018 11:52

With this great weather we will be out and about more often and playing games like frisbee and beach cricket will easily have us running around whilst having fun!

BonjourMinou · 09/07/2018 18:23

Signed up. Going to try to give it a whirl, our children are quite young so I'll be looking at this thread for ideas!

Still swimming lessons and forest walks should help towards our goal 😊

Great/have signed us up as dc finished school here for summer so 2 months of activities ahead of us & we all need to be more active!

Looking forward to it!

EnFlique · 10/07/2018 06:48

Hoping this will give me a little boost over the summer holidays and encourage me to spend more time doing physical activity with my daughter.
I’m thinking long walks & going swimming to start us off. Will have to look around and see what else is available nearby too!

RhubarbAndCustards · 10/07/2018 20:10

We’ve signed up and started with an hour’s walk - lovely on these summer evenings! We do walk quite a bit but will have to get husband to do his bit. We’ve bought bikes so will aim to get out on those too. And an action packed holiday should take us past 24 hours.

Zooeymama123 · 10/07/2018 23:05

signed up , this is perfect for us. both my children LOVE Incredibles and watch it all the time. we all do keep active but not always all together as a family so will be a good challenge for over the summer holidays.
