  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Baby weaning stains, food on bibs mostly, some nappy leaks

  • What did you like most about the product?

Nice smell, did make whites whiter

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

I don’t think I would, it didn’t remove the stains I was trying to, I tried pre-treating and soaking as per the instructions but the stains remained.

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

It hasn’t impacted it, I have used another stain remover before which I will continue to use.

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

I have a vanish stain remover bar which helped on some stains. I will continue to use my other brand stain remover

It smelt lovely and fresh and was easy to apply to stain/s.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes, I have always used Vanish, it does what it says it will do.

I have always used Vanish for stain removal.

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Food stains such as strawberries, raspberries and blackberries (baby DS gets pretty messy!), mud, explosive poo from white vests/light coloured grobag.

  • What did you like most about the product?

It really works! I like that you can add it to the drawer of the washing machine or you can put it directly on the stain and it worked both ways for us. I love that it is non biological as my DS's skin is quite sensitive and I like to avoid harsh chemicals coming into contact with his skin.

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Most definitely. I know that lots of baby clothes/vests are thrown away due to poo/food stains by one friend in particular so will be recommending this product to her!

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

I have previously used a range of Vanish products, which have always worked very well for us. This has the added bonus that it is non biological.

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

See above comment. I will definitely be buying this product again once it is released.

Thanks for letting us test it!

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
I have a 9 week year old baby so poo and baby sick predominantly
  • What did you like most about the product?
I like that it is non-bio so safe for baby without additional rinsing and that it is easy to use and apply - crucial for a new mum with limited time to do laundry in between feeds!
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
I would recommend it as it is easy to use and non-bio, however, given the recommended dosage size I don't think it represents brilliant value for money and would make clear that you get through a bottle quickly with a messy baby.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
It didn't work very well on older poo stains that had already been washed but very good on fresh stains. I am not very good an individual scrubbing so just put the liquid in the machine drawer which is nice and easy.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
I have used other vanish products in the past, eg the bar, and recently bought some of the powder but hadnt actually used it prior to starting this trial. I will use it when the Vanish liquid has finished to see how it compares.

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Tomato sauce, baby poo, general food, shirt collars

  • What did you like most about the product?

Was easy to use

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Yes - it did get most of the stains out first time. I had less success with tomato based pasta sauce which I had to soak and use sunlight

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

I found the gel quite easy to use

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

I would consider buying more depending on the price

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Mainly food and mud stains.
  • What did you like most about the product?
Easy to use and nice smell.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Not sure as I don’t think it is very good value for money (expensive and requires a lot of product per wash), plus it faded our coloured clothes a lot.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
It does a slightly better job than the powder I currently use.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
Have used other products in the past and prefer the powder as it is better value but only buy it when it’s on sale.
19angel77 · 31/01/2018 15:57

Some of the stains I used vanish non-bio on were mud, food, paint.
I love the fact that is non-bio and yet gets rid of the stains that many other stain removers can’t shift.
I would definitely recommend this product to others as it’s fantastic.
Using vanish got rid of stains that other products just couldn’t shift.
It was my first time using vanish stain remover and I’m very impressed

Nibletmum · 31/01/2018 16:09

I used it on baby clothes with food on and my husbands filthy work clothes.
It had a nice fragrance and was simple to use. I’d probably recommend it to friends with babies as it did help although some weaning stains weren’t removed completely. I also feel it’s fairly expensive considering there’s only enough for 9 loads of washing. I didn’t use it as a spot cleaner though so maybe that would be more economical. I will look at other vanish products especially when they’re on offer!

Bolognese sauce

  • What did you like most about the product?
Didn’t smell too much of chemicals
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

  • chilli sauce stains that never come out of my husband’s shirts, stains on a white jumper that had already gone through one wash.

I liked the smell and the ease of use. It dissolves better for soaking than an equivalent powder

I would recommend the product as it worked so well

It was much more effective than other products I have used

I use vanish frequently and preferred this to their powder products as it seemed to work better with soaking

Yes it really gets rid of those pesky stains and lovely fragrance.

SazzyJ15 · 31/01/2018 19:48

I tried to remove food stains. The clothes were mainly covered in tomato based sauces which this product did a good job of removing.

I love that it’s a non bio product. I understand that this means it’s suitable for sensitive skin such as baby skin. I’m not aware of any other non bio stain remover on the market and think It’s a great idea.

I would recommend this product. It removes stains well and good for sensitive skin.

As it’s non bio it means I can use it on my babies clothes.

I’ve used Vanish before and will buy their products in the future.

I'm not sure I would I wasn't overly keen on the smell or how it left my clothes feeling afterwards!

- Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

MummySurgeon · 31/01/2018 21:11
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Baby vomit and baby food
  • What did you like most about the product?
The smell! When I use a non bio detergent and the “Pure” fabric softener, they don’t really smell of anything and the vomit clothes often need another wash to get rid of the smell - after using the non bio Vanish though, they came out smelling beautifully fresh first time!
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes - the clothes came out clean first time round even having used a non bio detegent (I find that usually there could be stains left first time round when using a non bio, but my daughter’s skin has eczema tendencies so that’s why I use it) and they smelt amazing!
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
Stains came out first time in the wash and all I did was put the Vanish in the drum with the clothes - so easy!
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
I’ve use the powders before, which I think do keep my whites more white but I don’t tend them for my daughter’s and baby’s clothes. This non bio liquid was really effective (something I was surprised by having been disappointed by non bio’s generally before) and made the wash smell so clean and fresh compared to usual, plus it was really easy to use.
ToriiaLouise · 31/01/2018 21:14

General food stains, poo, sick, grass stains, sweat stains from school shirts

  • What did you like most about the product?
It smells lovely and the consistency is good.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
I will definitely recommend this, easy to use and good that parents with newborns can use it too!
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
I normally use the stain remover bar which I find works just aswell, however this smells lovely and I think I prefer the consistency for pre treating.
