What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Tomato based baby food and poo for the most part.

  • What did you like most about the product?
I normally use a powder stain treatment but found having liquid far more convenient than having to try a mix a solution one handed with a baby on my hip.

Having thought what a huge bottle in was though, we did get through it really quickly adding a cap to the washing machine etc. As well as pee treating.

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Yes if the cost was right... The type of product I'd recommend new mum friends buy in bulk batches on amazon subscribe and save to keep the cost down

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

Usually use vanish powder and as above found this easier but I think more expensive in terms of getting through it quicker

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
Been using vanish powders a long time

Testers please answer the following questions on this thread:

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Paint, orange, tomato (old stain). It worked on all fresh stains but not old ones - tbf I don’t think anything can touch those though!
  • What did you like most about the product? There’s a few different options of how to use it. That it’s liquid rather than powder (powder a bit messy)
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why? Yes - worked well considering it’s non-bio. I think you had to use quite a lot per use though, so depends how much it would cost.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
About the same - I usually put it in the wash and sometimes pre-treat for a bad stain.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products? No I use the oxi white and the spray stain remover. Have tried the carpet powder and foam previously.

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Beans, peanut butter, hot chocolate & snot!
  • What did you like most about the product?
That it actually worked! A lot of non bio products are a bit weak in comparison to bio products but this one worked exceptionally well. Nice smell to clothes after.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes easy to use and works and smells great. Big plus is that it is kind on skin too. My only downside is the amount you are expect3d to use, it would end up being quite expensive.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
It meant that stains actually came out first time rather than having to soak and then wash.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
Not my first time using vanish but it was the most stress free experience.
tracedobson79 · 02/02/2018 21:27
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove? Hibiscus sorbet which is bright pink and general muck and tough stains on school shirts.
  • What did you like most about the product? The product removed the stains from all the clothing and no effort was needed by me (busy mum of 2 who works from home so a big plus). My sons school shirts were greying and the vanish has really brightened them up!
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why? Most definitely as it really works and does what it says on the bottle.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal? Clothes look so much cleaner and newer.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products? No. Would definitely buy this product regularly though if the price was good.

  1. baby poo and tomato pasta sauce
  2. It smelt awesome and it worked first time. Even better than vanish powder 3)Yes, because it actually works. It even worked on an old stain that I couldn't get out
  3. It removed stains with ease even better than Vanish Gold

loopylou1984 · 03/02/2018 07:45

Types of stains: food, baby vomit, milk, mud

What did I most like: easy and quick to use. With baby twins this was a massive plus

Would I recommend the product: yes, for ease of use and the success I had remaining almost all stains

Compared to what I did before how did it compare: I used a powder that had to be rubbed in or soaked so it took longer.

Is it my first time using vanish: no I have used the products before but liked how gentle and nice smelling this one is

PoemsForMySon · 03/02/2018 20:01

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Baby poo and sick, food stains (including a banana that had left a vile brown stain that my usual stain remover couldn't deal with), blood.

What did you like most about the product?

The smell and that it worked so well

Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Yes, because it works well and the suggested price is reasonable.

Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

Made it a lot easier. The only stain I bothered soaking/pre-treating was the blood and the first time I used it on a poo stain.

Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

I've used the carpet cleaner and the platinum oxi action for whites. I'll definitely be buying this new stain remover.

Testers please answer the following questions on this thread:

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
I used it on my 21 month old clothes and bedding mainly stains include tomato sauce juice chocolate also gave it a go on the dogs towel mud stains
  • What did you like most about the product?
That it worked on a jumper my little boy received from his grandad for Xmas had washed several times previous and couldn't get stains out
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
I would recommend this highly to friends and family especially those with young children
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying

SunshineDreamingAllDay · 03/02/2018 20:44
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Food, mud and poo
  • What did you like most about the product?
Easy to use, smells good, seems to work ok
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes I think vanish is the best product to remove stains. Having a non bio version for small babies is a good idea
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
Putting it directly in the drum rather than in the drawer seemed to work better.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
No I have used vanish before
ralv · 04/02/2018 07:31

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove? My biggest stain headaches are mango and blueberry! Also anything tomato based like Bolognese or baked beans.

  • What did you like most about the product? It didnt have a lingering odour. I purposefully buy unscented laundry products as fragrances can cause me headaches.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why? Unfortunately I don't think I would. I have many handmade baby items that need to be washed at 30... And using vanish in wash simply didn't remove the stains as I'd hoped. It did work better as a prewash soak but as a busy mum I really wanted a quick fix miracle !
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal? It slightly improved stain removal from using detergent alone... but wasn't noticeably better than other stain removers I use such as ace bleach or Almat.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products? No I have used the powdered stain remover before but do not find it superior to some other, much cheaper, own brand products.
MotherofaSurvivor · 04/02/2018 10:25

I actually would like to revoke my positive feedback on this product! A few days ago I rubbed the recommended dosage into a stain on my daughter's tights, followed instructions re: washing....

Not only did the liquid burn my fingers and coat them in a white substance that took days to scrub off, but the liquid itself destroyed my daughter's tights! Didn't remove the stain just wrecked the fabric where it was rubbed in. Luckily only cheap tights but I am still not happy at all!!

Looking at the ingredients, this stuff contains Hydrogen Peroxide! Wish I'd read this before. Yes, I should've used rubber gloves but that does not excuse the damage to the tights. Not viscose or denier tights - regular soft toddler tights. Thank god this wasn't one of her expensive handmade dresses!!!!!

Don't fancy putting Hydrogen Peroxide on my 3yr old's clothes............ AngryAngryAngry

lovewatchingrainfall · 04/02/2018 14:47

If you read the label it actually says do not get on clothes which did make me laugh

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Blood-didn’t work (used the rubbing pre-treat and soak)
Mud-didn’t work
Food stains - worked to fade but not gone completely.

What did you like most about the product?

Probably the smell

Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

No as it didn’t work. I didn’t like that you used the lid to rub the stain as then needed to wash the lid and all the groves before putting it back on. Instructions weren’t the clearest/easiest to read either.

Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

Disappointed it didn’t work.

Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

Yes, first time and don’t think I would buy again.

Here are before and after on the blood stains-unfortunately didn’t get rid of it.

LateKate · 05/02/2018 14:50

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
My daughter managed to get most of her school lunch down her white top and this cleaned it up beautifully. We also used it on paint, pen and an old hot chocolate stain

  • What did you like most about the product?
The fact that it didn't aggravate my youngest child's asthma.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes, I found it effective and liked the fact you could either apply directly or add to the wash to ensure it was used most effectively
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
It was much more efficient.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
It was and I would!

Thanks for letting me be involved and helping save several white school tops!

Hatethinkingofusernames82 · 05/02/2018 21:10

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove? Where do I begin....bedding with vomit on it, outdoor Forrest school clothing so mud, grass stains etc

  • What did you like most about the product? It went on easily. I also liked that you could apply directly to the stain but also put it directly in the washing machine.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why? Yes. Useful to have in the cupboard and also did the job well.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal? Much better removal. Previous attempts had left faint stain but this removed them well.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products? Yes and yes
PenguinsCantFly · 05/02/2018 21:29
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

A stain on my son's coat pocket! It appeared after I washed it not knowing that there was a red napkin inside Sad. It didn't get rid of the stain but did reduce it.

  • What did you like most about the product?
Smelt nice.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Maybe for everyday stains, but not for more specific ones.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
Didn't really. I normally rub hand soap into the stain and that seems to work just as well.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
No, I've used vanish oxy before. And I would consider buying from them again.
MrsGH2014 · 06/02/2018 11:53

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
The dreaded spaghetti bolognese - the big bad boss of all stains in this house! It is my nemesis!

What did you like most?
So easy to use!

Would you recommend?
Absolutely... it WORKS!!

It was my first time using vanish and I WILL be purchasing again. Definitely a brand to trust and no more having to throw away clothes or taking my little ones tops off to eat!

carolinekerr · 06/02/2018 12:00
