  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Mainly baby poo to be honest!
  • What did you like most about the product?
It was a good sized product with a very convenient multifunctional measuring tool which I thought was really well thought out. It smelled pleasant and seemed to do the job on the stains, mainly the fresher ones as opposed to ones that had been through the wash before already.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
I would recommend because it did a very good job and would help save clothes that had poo stains on.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
Didn't really use stain removal before and definitely not on baby clothing. This was a game changer.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
I think I tried Vanish carpet stain remover about 10 years ago and it lightened the carpet so I wasn't impressed at the time.
Polywhirl · 26/01/2018 18:49

Used on baby food- banana, tomato sauce.

Nice smell

I would recommend it as it really worked on stains that had been through the wash already.

It worked much better.

Used to use the vanish soap bar which always worked but somehow forgot about it. So yes would probably buy again.

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Food (orange sauces, fruit purée, etc) and poo!
  • What did you like most about the product?
It got rid of the stains fairly easily and smelt nice.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
I would bit depending on price.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
I previously used vanish gold which works well but is quite expensive.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
No as above I've used vanish previously.
PickledLilly · 26/01/2018 20:20

I was really underwhelmed with this product. It smelled nice but it didn’t get the stains out when just placed in the wash in addition to detergent. I used it in a light load with a mixture of stains, mostly food. One particular hoodie had been to the childminders and was pretty grim so I took before and after photos and I was really unimpressed with the results. There was still a LOT of staining after the wash. I should probably have tried pre treating but as a busy mum I just don’t have time to pre treat every item when most of what is going in the wash is covered in something gross because: small children.

I wouldn’t recommend it because it didn’t work. I’ve used vanish products before and I wasn’t overly impressed with them either. I honestly didn’t think any of it came out less stained than it would have been with just detergent and I wouldn’t buy it again.

PickledLilly · 26/01/2018 20:26

This was after it had been washed. Fair enough, it was filthy and if it had been something precious I’d have pratted about and soaked it but I wasn’t over awed with the results given that vanish is a fairly pricey brand leading product.

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Mysterious stains (probably sick) on baby clothes, make up on clothes
  • What did you like most about the product?
I like that it’s a liquid as I find powder a bit messy. I like the smell too and that it comes across as effective and powerful yet gentle enough for baby stuff
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes. I think products like this can save your clothes and they’re always worth having in the house for those stubborn stains. You can also pretreat clothes to remove stains and dirt and thereby avoid using high temperatures to wash your clothes which is expensive and bad for your clothes
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
I have added another step to my laundry routine: where necessary I review what needs a pretreat and if I need to add a dose of vanish to the wash - I’m then more confident that my wash will come out clean
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
I used to use vanish gold but got out of the habit and found it expensive... I would buy this gel as it seems gentler (whether or not it actually is?!) and more competitively priced
Serafinaaa · 26/01/2018 21:10
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Mainly food and grease. Some were old stains and some new.
  • What did you like most about the product? Gentle for baby skin. Nice smell. Ability to apply directly to clothes easily.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes as I don't know of any other similar product suitable for young babies.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
I used to use vanish powder. I liked that this was easier to apply direct to stains, but felt a lot was needed in each wash to use every time. Would get expensive.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
As above, big pricy for an everyday wash. I'd save gif getting stains out of occasional baby clothes.

  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Poo, food (tomato sauces, chocolate etc), paint
  • What did you like most about the product?
The smell was very nice, and it made clothes smell nice too.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes, definitely it actually worked on stains that had been left to dry.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
Have never really used stain removal products before, so would definitely buy this. Really liked having the option to soak/ pre treat clothes but to also just add it to an everyday wash.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
Yes it is. Have used vanish carpet cleaner before but never laundry products. Would consider buying this and using for stains but it's a little pricey to use in all washes.
YoungYummyMumma · 26/01/2018 21:38

Yes, loved how easy it was to use and that it was a non bio formula, perfect for little ones

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

Removed it much easier. I no longer have to soak stains for ages then put the clothes in the wash

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

No it isn't, but I will definitely look more into their range now

twoundertwox · 26/01/2018 22:10

Baby poo and mud

  • What did you like most about the product?
Smelt good, easy to apply
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

NEMSparkle · 26/01/2018 23:21
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Chocolate, tomato sauce, poo, paint.

  • What did you like most about the product?

The smell which is really pleasant and not chemically like other stain removers.

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so Why?
Yes I probably would it really brightened the whites even tho it didn’t remove the poo and paint stains completely.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your removal?

Less time consuming and not as much elbow grease!

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

No have used lots of vanish products however I think the vanish bar still out preformed even the vanish gold.

CountessOfStrathearn · 26/01/2018 23:25

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Banana, tomato, turmeric

What did you like most about the product?

Very easy to use and measure out. I could make this a more regular part of our washing routine as the children's clothes get very grubby!

Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Yes, it was easy to use and pretty effective.

Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

Children's clothes are looking a bit better without any loss of colour of the bright clothes. It was pretty simple and quick. When I want to clean something, I don't want to have to leave it for ages to soak as then I'll forget about it and just need to deal with the stain and get it in the washing machine.

Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

Not my first time. I've used the carpet cleaner before, and, like others here, if they were on offer, I'd definitely use them again.

Quietvoiceplease · 27/01/2018 07:04

Non-tester, but I buy this product regularly.
I find it works on even stubborn stains, and find the application easy - I just rub it in, and then pop in washing machine.
I like the fact it is non-bio.

HildaWazzo · 27/01/2018 10:49
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Toddler poo and food stains. It has just removed cherry stains from my toddler's white vest after a quick soak.

  • What did you like most about the product?

It was easy to use, lots of different options for use too. I always choose non-bio for my everyday washing, so I was pleased to have the option of a non-bio stain remover.

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

I would recommend it because it works. Some very tough stains have left traces, but it has made a real difference. Soaking did provide me with the best results.

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

It has given me better results, apart from tomato-based stains which always come out in the sun anyway.

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

I have used Vanish before and been happy with it. I like this new gentle version.

FlippertyJibbit · 27/01/2018 11:48
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

I'm due my second DS in a couple of weeks so used this on his new clothes and also second hand that we had been given with the odd discolouration and food stain. I also used it on all of his pushchair fabrics as well.

  • What did you like most about the product?

The fresh smell and the consistency.

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Definitely- it has removed ALL stains and brought up everything brand new. I have an old Hauck pushchair that was immaculate condition when put in the shed by well meaning DH which has now been marked - if I get time before DS2 arrival I'm going to what all the fabrics in with the Vanish and see if I can bring it up like new again!

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

It has become part of my wash routine now, I have added a small amount to each of my washes to keep all of our clothes fresh and removing those little marks I never really noticed before.

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

Yes it is, I normally avoid due to price but will definitely be purchasing more now!

DrMumMum · 27/01/2018 14:49
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Chocolate, raspberry and toddler poo!
  • What did you like most about the product?
I liked the smell, it was really fresh. Loved the option to use the cap to rub in the stain remover. The fact it was a non bio stain remover was key for me. I only like to use non bio stuff on my little boy's clothes.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes, but I wouldn't tell them to bother adding it to the wash - I found this did absolutely nothing, although rubbing with the cap was definitely helpful.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
About average. I've never used a non bio stain remover before so I don't have this to compare it to. I found the amount needed to add to the wash was more than a standard in wash stain remover and could get expensive if used like this.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
No, I've used Vanish scoop powder and carpet stain remover before. Carpet version very good, in wash not so good. Testing this product wouldn't particularly make me want to use their products nor turn me off them.
SalutHallo · 27/01/2018 18:49

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Baby spit up, vomit and poo

  • What did you like most about the product?

Mild smell and liquid form easier than powder

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Yes, saves clothes and had good impact when added generally to wash - whites came out looking refreshed

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

Previously used vanish powder - this made less mess on the side and in the sink, smelt nicer and I was glad it was kinder to baby’s skin - but about as effective - still didn’t catch all stains - some completely gone, some limited impact

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

N/a - have used before

BrioLover · 27/01/2018 20:11
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

Baby poo, grass, blueberry juice and tomato soup.

  • What did you like most about the product?

The smell and how easy it is to use.

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Definitely. It didn't irritate my skin like biological products tend to and it got every single stain out (including a tomato based one that had been on a jumper for months).

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

It was great - got everything out, including one old stain that I'd all but given up on.

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

Not my first time but yes I'll look at more of the range now.

bigfishlittlefishtupperwarebox · 28/01/2018 07:33
  • What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

General day to day toddler stains, as well as some tights with seriously muddy knees!

  • What did you like most about the product?

I like the way you can rub the product in with the lid, and how well it worked. Those tights were like new!

  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Yes, depending on price. Much better than the one I usually use.

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

I really didn’t expect the mud stains to come out of the tights. Mega bonus.

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

No, I have used the spray before but think this is better

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
food stains,mud,greasy stains.

  • What did you like most about the product?
It had a fresh smell, not overpowering chemical smell like other stain removers i have used, and the fact it worked was brilliant
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family
member? If so why? yes i would recommend as it works on a number of stains that other stain removers have not worked on.
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
it worked first time compared to what i used before and i did not have to soak clothes before like i usually do.
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
I buy vanish products anyway and will now buy this stain remover.
BlytheofWindyWillows · 28/01/2018 18:43

-Poonami, food stains (we've just started weaning) and mud from my older daughters trip to the woods.

  • The smell is really fresh and it actually got almost all the stains out first time.
-Yes, I'd recommend it. Was easy to use and did the job. -Usually use a different brand but this actually worked better. -Have used the Vanish carpet range before and will be switching to this stain remover.
Padget · 28/01/2018 18:44

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?
Explosive poo stain and curry stain (not actually related funnily enough!)

  • What did you like most about the product?
It worked!
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?
Yes, it did a good job
  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?
I would have just chucked it in the wash several times to see if it would come out or bin it. Instead I used the pre treat stain removal which removed most of the stain before even putting it through the washing machine
  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?
I have used Vanish products on my carpet before but not for clothes. I would certainly look at their products again.
CountingDownToBedtime · 28/01/2018 18:59

I used the Vanish stain remover on spaghetti & chocolate stains.
I liked the smell, not a chemical smell at all.
Yes I would recommend as it was easy to use.
It had about the same impact as my usual stain remover, but smells much nicer.
Yes,first time using Vanish,I would probably buy more.
Thanks for letting me trial this product.

BeeFarseer · 28/01/2018 20:10

What were some of the types of stains you used this product to remove?

I used Vanish on soiled bedding (urine), soiled white baby vests (faeces... yeah, grim), synthetic sportswear and in an averagely soiled clothes wash.

  • What did you like most about the product?
The smell. We use a lot of scented laundry products and the Vanish was lovely.
  • Would you recommend the product to a friend and/or family member? If so why?

Yes, definitely. It's very good for large, hygienic stains that you might not want to get too close to, as you can put 100ml of product into the lid and pop it on top of the clothes in the drum. It got out urine and poo stains this way, whereas previously I'd use a powdered stain remover and pre-soak. The Vanish was more convenient.

  • Compared to what you did before, how did using Vanish impact your stain removal?

I used a different brand of powdered stain removal and added a scoop to each wash, presoaking for more serious stains. The vanish was much quicker to use, and really did get the stains out.

  • Is this your first time using Vanish? If so would you now consider buying more of their products?

I've used Vanish before, but only products that rub directly onto the stain. I liked that this product was versatile, so it could be used directly on stains, but also put in the machine.
