We’re looking for 15 Mumsnetters to try out two of AEG’s washing machines and one of their tumble dryers!

Here’s what AEG has to say about each of the products:

“PRO STEAM WASHING MACHINE
Introducing the sharp shirt protector: Maintaining your professional look day to day should be effortless. Our ProSteam® Technology means that your shirts look sharp for longer by enabling you to reduce creases by up to one third. Cutting down on dry-cleaning and ironing means less wear on fibres. Keeping your clothes looking and feeling impeccable, every day.

SOFT WATER WASHING MACHINE
It’s the little black dress guardian: Imagine a washing machine that you can trust to keep your colours as vibrant and blacks as bold as the day you bought them. At last, there is no need to compromise performance for care. Because for the first time ever, you’ll achieve the thorough clean of a 60-degree wash at just 30 degrees. Maintaining the colour, shape and feel of every garment. Wash after wash. It’s more than a washing machine. It’s the guardian of your clothes.

ABSOLUTECARE TUMBLE DRYER
It’s the wool sweater guardian: Now you can tumble dry everything you wash. From the softest wool sweater to an everyday business shirt or ski jacket. Dryers with the AbsoluteCare® System have tailored programming to precisely control the movement and temperature of the drying cycle. Preventing shrinkage. Maintaining shape. Restoring waterproofing. Redefining tumble drying for every fabric in your wardrobe. Comparable with flat drying of wool.”

If you’d like to take part, please add your details here

Everyone who takes part and who shares feedback and fills in a short survey as required will be entered into a prize draw where one person will win a £300 voucher for the store of their choice (from a list).

Thanks and good luck!

Done! We are in desperate need of a tumble dryer now that the weather has turned!

Queenxaos · 05/10/2017 11:26

Yes please !!

prettybird · 05/10/2017 12:50

I could so do with a new washing machine.

My washer/dryer is 23 years old and on its last legs Sad It's so old it can't wash at below 40C (its non-fast coloured wash), it frequently doesn't drain properly but not enough to activate the lock so clothes are sodden, sitting in water and I have to put them on to spin again and now the catch is going so the door has to be slammed 4 times before the machine will start Shock

I can do without the dryer facility as we rarely use it (and have an old one in the loft we could press into service if necessary) but really do need a working washing machine as ds (17) trains and plays rugby 3 times a week, so plenty of dirty kit to wash (we're in Scotland, so it is muddy and wet Wink). To make matters worse, ds and dh both coach as well and dh also referees, so there are also dirty and wet track suits, hoodies and referees tops to wash (not forgetting the smelly rugby socks WinkHmm

Done

Would LOVE to try the tumble. DS is 7 and has some sensitivity issues around clothes - drying on the radiator makes it hard to get them soft and he doesn't always cope... can't afford to buy one at present so bimbling along managing but this would be incredible

StillCantDecideOnaUsername · 05/10/2017 13:09

Yes please! Am on the lookout for a tumble dryer so would love to test one!

mynameisspam · 05/10/2017 13:23

Done x

Hotpants · 05/10/2017 14:15

Those are some pretty impressive claims - I would be very interested to see if they are true. I currently have a Bosch washing machine and a Bosch tumble drier, am happy with these, although they do not do the things promised here... Would love to be able to compare AEG with my trusty Bosch machines

Belmo · 05/10/2017 15:01

I want a tumble dryer soooooooo much

puglife · 05/10/2017 15:27

🤞the tumble dryer would be the answer to my washing nightmares!

hrfvenia · 05/10/2017 15:41

Have applied and hope we get to try the steam washer!

In desperate need of a new machine with an 8 week old!

Monstamio · 05/10/2017 16:41

I would love to test the tumble dryer. Living in the very wet west country with a mud-loving toddler and a six month old in cloth nappies, this would be an absolute godsend! Fingers crossed!

Pidlan · 05/10/2017 17:16

I'd love a washing machine! Mine conked out 3 years ago and have done without since, either handwashing or taking really stubborn stains to the launderette. I have 2 DC.
Thanks!

TracyBeakerSoYeah · 05/10/2017 17:42

Would really love to test the tumble dryer.

smithsurvey14 · 05/10/2017 21:52

Done.
All sound good!
Fingers crossed.

boo2410 · 06/10/2017 08:02

All done, fingers crossed for the tumble dryer.

wrapsuperstar · 06/10/2017 08:05

Ooh done. We have managed without a tumble dryer thus far with DD5 and DD3 but it is starting to be a losing battle keeping on top of laundry now one's at school. Would be amazing to try!

TheJunctionBaby · 06/10/2017 10:47

Signed up!

MaccaPaccaismyNemesis · 06/10/2017 12:46

Both the tumble and the washer are on their last legs, have applied with fingers and toes crossed.

Srathore · 06/10/2017 13:14

I would really appreciate this opportunity. I live in a rural village and I have never had a tumble dryer. This would be a great opportunity for me. I would love to participate in this for AEG

Crumble67 · 06/10/2017 13:24

Fingers crossed, these all look amazing

Sweetpotatoaddict · 06/10/2017 13:27

Fingers crossed for either washing machine, my two toddlers see me with plenty of washing. Add to that my uniforms and my husbands shirts, it's the most used item in my household!
Fingers crossed

malisa · 06/10/2017 13:55

I've applied. Thank you, this would be awesome. I am desperate to try one. This would be a great help with my chores at home.

1969angep · 06/10/2017 14:11

Wow 😮

Imisscheese · 06/10/2017 14:23

Yes please. I'd love to try the tumble dryer. Ours is ancient and completely rubbish.

Binghasalottoanswerfor · 06/10/2017 14:27

Done! Fingers crossed as a disabled single mum with a broken washing machine - this would be the biggest blessing I could ever dream of! 🤞🏻
