Non tester: I was at the checkout queue when my son was a little younger and he suddenly started giggling so I asked him what he was laughing at and he said in a really loud voice 'I've just done a really loud fart and it smells bad'.. I could have died.

flapjack35 · 04/09/2017 02:54

When out shopping in the middle of town, my ds shouted out "I done a crap, mummy I done a crap" It was so embarrassing but yes it was funny

My son said cats are funny because they are always jumping on buildings like spiderman

mollymoo818 · 04/09/2017 07:57

My DD went through a phase of always picking things up in shops and pushing them down her cosy toes. It was always so embarrassing to have to stop and rummage around inside to make sure that we weren't going to be walking out of the shop with anything. Luckily the staff always seemed to find it amusing even though I was mortified.

emzlovesyou · 04/09/2017 08:27

My youngest didn't want to go in her pram anymore, she put her doll in it and told me that she was the baby now

phillie1 · 04/09/2017 08:45

This was my nephew who said this, but made us really think about what we said about other drivers when we had our own kids. When a car pulled out in front of us, making us slam our brakes on, he came out with - 'you f.... idiot', in a perfect Irish accent, at about 2 years old - exactly what I was thinking about the other driver!

angiehoggett · 04/09/2017 09:50

Non-Tester: my little one loves to sing in the pushchair but he always gets the words wrong much to the amusement of strangers!

happysouls · 04/09/2017 10:42

Non tester.
My son was loudly talking about "big willy" in his pushchair at the checkout one day. This was after seeing the film "free willy". Oops!

meepmoop79 · 04/09/2017 11:27

Non-Tester

It was when we coming back from holiday and my eldest was about 12 months old. His child seat was in the middle of the back seat or the car, so he had a really good view out of the front windscreen. He had a big grin on his face, was making bubbling noises, and moving his hands as though he was gripping a steering wheel. Very funny.

Marg2k8 · 04/09/2017 15:53

Non-tester - my DD could not pronounce words beginning with S correctly, so smelly socks became melly ocks.

Blahblahblueblee · 04/09/2017 16:36

My dd had a bar across her push chair, she used to hold onto it rock and shout go like she was in a race. She would lean forward as if it would make the pushchair go faster!

vickyors · 04/09/2017 16:59

Non- tester: my elder daughter asked about body parts when she was just two. We decided to go with anatomical descriptions of the penis and vagina, to avoid silly names.

In Aldi, a week later, my daughter, queueing.. asks 'so Mummy, does that lady have a Gagina' (pronunciation correct)..

I nearly died. But they lady turned around and said: 'yes, I do. Well done'! Mortifying.

sweir1 · 04/09/2017 20:20

Non tester here. My little boy asked the lady in tescos why she did not try harder in school. I went as red as a strawberry

Demiguise · 04/09/2017 20:40

DD2 is not a people person. She used to take great delight, whilst in her buggy, at roaring with rage whenever anyone leaned in towards her. "Mummy, Mummy! That person trying to get me!" she would yell whilst heads whipped towards us and the overly-friendly stranger scuttled away red faced.

emmmaaa26 · 04/09/2017 21:48

My little one was sat in the car staring out of the window and suddenly she said "whats that lady doing", it was the middle of nowhere and nobody was around. It was only the 2 of us in the car. Ive never been so relieved to get home. Its funny now that I think back but shook me up at the time.

del2929 · 04/09/2017 21:51

non tester-

pulling things off the shelf into the pram. really embarassing lol

buckley1983 · 04/09/2017 22:38

My LO was always one for stating the bleedin' obvious - no matter how crushing this might be for the person in question! I was pushing him in his pushchair through town one afternoon when we spotted one of the Dad's from nursery - we stopped to say a quick hello, & then just as we were about to walk off - LO pipes up 'Ethan's Daddy has got no hair!' ... Shock
I mean, it's true - he doesn't, but blimey - the poor bloke! Luckily he saw the funny side :)

jandoc · 05/09/2017 12:40

my DD used to always shout out to people with a different hair colour to mine and her dads.

tabbaz123 · 05/09/2017 13:22

Non-Tester - My lovely boy whilst being pushed around the supermarket tugged at a ladies skirt and when the lady turned and smiled at him he said " What do you say ? You farted so you say Pardon Me, thats what you say". I do not know who was more embarrassed the lady or me!

pongopig · 05/09/2017 14:04

Non tester. When my DD was little, before she was properly talking, we were walking down the road and she started saying 'uh oh, uh oh, uh oh'. I thought she was just being funny but when I looked round at her I saw she had dropped her hat out of the pushchair - it was the first time she had really told me anything and it made me smile.

Loopyaboutmy2boys · 05/09/2017 15:48

Tester

Which product did you test and what did you think of it overall?
We tested the Priam chassis/lux seat

  • How old is your child? What sort of testing did you do? Our son is 4 and we will have a newborn arriving shortly. I think he is borderline for being too heavy for it. But he gave it the thumbs up for comfort.
  • What did you think of the design? We were both impressed with the design - we have the Mahayana grey material not the butterflies one and think this looks much better than the butterfly one would have done. Very stylish and as DH said it's like the Range Rover of buggies, as it's quality is obvious.

What features stood out to you? The leather/leather like material on the bars and the stitching of it was a nice touch, the padded straps, the ease of extending the handlebar as I'm short and he is tall.

  • What about the functionality - how did it meet your needs as a parent? It was easy to manoeuvre and like that the tyres would never get a puncture, and was surprised to discover it can be reclined to a fully flat seat suitable for a newborn and how far the hood extends to provide good protection if used in the lie flat position. Haven't used it for this but also like the fact they reckon it can be used as a high chair when out and about. The bar across the front is also a good idea for attaching toys to.
  • Did you partner (if applicable) or a friend use it? If so, what did they think? He was really impressed and he doesn't get impressed easily.
  • How likely are you to recommend the product you tested to a friend or family member? Definitely would recommend to anyone who is having their first baby, it is expensive so would be an investment but to anyone just starting a family who may use it for more than one child I think it would be great value and quality for their money.
  • Any other comments? Written instructions would have been great, I don't have a brain that is good with picture instructions, but DH has a brain like that so I left it for him to assemble and then he showed me how everything worked. He wasn't sure which way the basket thing underneath faced but other than that he found the pictures ok. We are really chuffed that we were selected for this product trial and can't wait for our new baby to arrive so we can put it to even more use, our eldest had reflux and vomited on our old pushchair countless times and it's nice that our daughter will get to use one that is barely used, and the fact that you don't have to buy a carrycot because of the fully reclining seat is a big plus point. The only thing we are yet to look into is whether other types of car seats can be used on this chassis or whether it is only ones made by Cybex? Don't know if any other testers have looked at this yet?
Loopyaboutmy2boys · 05/09/2017 15:50

That should say we have the Manhatten Grey.....

Byrdie · 05/09/2017 17:57

I can't think of anything particularly hysterical mine have said in a pram. My eldest did once pretend that she was in a plane and was asking me to do the pilot blurb at the beginning of a BA flight (we fly a lot on BA!) and I got to the bit about brace positions "if you are seated in our economy cabin... blah blah... if you are sitting in a rear facing seat in business class, cross you arms and lean back in the event of an emergency landing" to which my dear (2 or 3 at the time) replied "i'm sitting in first class"

I was pushing my littlest around the supermarket - had just ran in for some nappies and he went to put someone's French stick in their basket in his mouth!

lhlee62 · 05/09/2017 21:27

Non tester- my daughter really likes her food and would beg for food from anyone including strangers, she would happily reach over to other people's plates and take food. The funniest is when she took food out of another child's hand by opening her mouth and eating it out of their hand!!
