This is the feedback thread for the 500 Mumsnetters who have been testing brand new range of cold-pressed baby food, My First Savsé.

Here’s what Guka, the founder of Savsé has to say: “When we looked at manufactured baby food, we realised babies weren’t getting the nutrients they deserved. Refusing to feed my own child pasteurised product, I wanted to push boundaries and create the freshest baby food possible. After all, real food isn’t just for adults.

This is why we created My First Savsé – Europe’s first cold-pressed, HPP baby food that’s as good as homemade. Unlike heat pasteurised baby food – which experiences a shocking 40% reduction in nutritional value – with My First Savsé the nutritional value of our 100% Organic, Grade A fruit and veg is never* compromised.

*Source: Fruselva Laboratories, July 2017 (tests carried out vs. heat pasteurised competitor x)”

Also from My First Savsé: “By cold-pressing our fruit and veg we don’t strip the goodness, replacing heat pasteurisation in favour of non-thermal High Pressure Processing (HPP) to ensure all vital nutrients are locked into each pouch, removing any nasties without compromising on taste or quality.

A busy parent will have to make a million compromises on a daily basis, but quality nutrition for their baby should never be one of them. However, with 1 in 4 parents unable to prepare homemade baby food due to work pressures, many have been forced to rely on heat pasteurised options bought in-store, with a sell by date often older than the babies themselves! But compromise no more. Our brand new cold-pressed baby food range, My First Savsé, has solved the problem - because babies deserve real food too.

Unlike heat pasteurised baby food, you won’t find My First Savsé in the baby aisle - oh no. You’ll find it in the chiller, alongside all the other fresh products!”

Testers, once the products are finished, please answer the below questions as well as leaving any other feedback you have:

1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

We’d also love to see some photos of your little one testing My First Savsé cold-pressed baby food, so please share on the thread if you can.

If you’d like to share your experience on social media, please do using the hashtag #myfirstsavse

All testers who complete the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £300 voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

Doesn't Annabel Kramer offer chilled baby food?

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The cacao one.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I think it's more expensive for not a lot more benefit - the USP isn't completely clear to me.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Probably not because it wouldn't be in the baby aisle and it wouldn't necessarily occur to me to go find it.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

It was an interesting blend of flavours and so yes I'd recommend they check them out.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I wasn't aware. I don't think that this would change the way I shop, I'm quite happy with the cheaper non-chilled pouches. Perhaps I would buy if they were on offer.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

She liked them all, particularly the apple one.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

It comes across as healthier and the flavour mixes were more interesting. I didn't expect her to like all the flavours but she did.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Unlikely, I buy pouches for convenience when travelling about, and keeping these pouches chilled rather forgoes that convenience.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I might recommend to a health conscious friend who didn't want a conventional pouch due to heat pasteurisation.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I was aware that there were no other chilled baby purée but don't think it will change the way I shop
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range? The coconut cacao apple and banana flavour was the favourite.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
The flavours are great my baby does not normally like pouches or any baby food really but she loved these. I think maybe the fact that it is not heat pasteurised makes them taste better.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
I would probably purchase it on the odd occasion when I needed something quick for baby but it is quite pricey.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why? I would recommend it for flavour.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I wasn't aware there was a chilled pet food. If savse was available in my local supermarket I would buy it, as it seems like a much fresher way of feeding him.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
My son loved the beetroot one
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
Being out ranges for stage 2 & stage 3 weaning with texture and lumps. It seems to have a nicer texture and smell, my son didn't prefer or dislike this to any other brand
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
Yes I would if they bought s2&s3 stage pouches out however the texture was to smooth for my son
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
Yes I would as I think it's a healthier way of feeding my son

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop?

I have seen chilled toddler meals in Waitrose but never questioned re baby food. Yes I would look for Savse if my local supermarket sold it.

2.Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

My son is 6 months so the trial was perfect timing as we were just starting to wean him. He had only had apple, carrots & sweet potato before (homemade). He seemed to enjoy all of them but he particularly loved the prune. We had no issues with sore tums, out of date pouches etc.

3.How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

As these pouches were first stage weaning I expected them to be just fruit & veg & the texture was also as expected. For next stages I assume you add protein etc. I liked the combo of flavours & the unusual ingredients. While I agree they were all quite sweet I have found this with other first stage pouches. Plus I liked the taste of them compared to competitors, more akin to one of my own smoothies.

What appeals to me about Savse is the claim they are more nutritious & if this is true I do think they can charge more than Ella's but not loads more. They really need to push this USP to stand out.

As other reviewers have mentioned many Mum's use pouches for convenience so the chilled idea might put them off. It suits me as I am in London & live near the high street, park etc so if I was off out for lunch, play date I would either pick one up in the supermarket on the high street or pack one from home in a small cool bag.

My son did not have a problem with the portion sizes so I had no waste but i can see how this could be an issue.

Also again as mentioned by a PP I think the selling location of Savse is important. My local supermarkets (Waitrose & Sainsburys) have very small freezer sections for there size as the target market prefers fresh produce. Savse should be with the smoothies/health drinks or yoghurts.

4.Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Yes I would buy it, as I want my baby to have the most nutritious food. In an ideal world I would make it all myself but I prefer a 70/30 approach.

Cost would be an issue if the pouches were too expensive & I would still buy them but not as often.

5.Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes I would as I believe them to be nutrionally superior.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
No I wasn't even aware the did chilled pet food I've never seen it. It would definitely change the way I shop if they are stocked in stores I shop at.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
If I'm honest I'm not really sure she scoffed all of them bad the out of date one she didn't refuse any of them.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
Could do with a few more savoury ones and many some with textures for when they get older.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
Yes I would definitely this food was a godsend my little one has suffered with reflux since birth and finding food that didn't cause a flare up has been hard but she hasn't had one flare up whilst on this food.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
Definitely my daughter absolutely loved it she even decided she wanted to feed herself I'm pretty sure she thought I was going to eat if if she didn't and ended up scoffing the whole pouch in one sitting. They haven't caused any digestive issues with my daughter at all. Thank you for allowing us to take part Willow definitely enjoyed it. 😀

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I didn't know this. It might change the way I shop as they are good if in a hurry but my baby needs bit more texture now probably

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

Cocoa one - she wolfed it down!

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I like the recipes as they're some more unusual combinations , maybe some more choices would be good though

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I might as I feel it's healthier and more nutritious and I did use it as a pasta sauce as my baby is wanting more texture but it was a good way to get extra vitamins into her

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes. I did in fact to my friend whose baby has allergies and needs purées with fewer ingredients

Tumilnaughts · 16/08/2017 18:58
  1. I wouldn't say it will change the way I shop for my dd but now I'm aware of the cold pressed I will consider it as an option when looking for premade purée for her.
  2. Dd seemed to really enjoy the one with cocoa in it.
  3. There seemed to be apple in every one which I wasn't too keen on, made everything sweet. Also not enough savoury options.
  4. I may buy it occasionally but I wouldn't go out of my way to make sure I had it in the fridge.
  5. I would as an alternative to what else is available
StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 16/08/2017 19:11

I've been reading through the thread and thought that given some of the other comments I should probably add some more information.
DS ate 3 of the pouches yesterday and last night the was very distressed and had diarrhoea in the night. His bottom is raw today, despite metanium. He has never had nappy rash like this.
It may be a total coincidence, but given what others have written, I will definitely be avoiding these in future, just in case.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No I didn't know this. I don't think it will change the way I shop.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

Probably the cocoa flavoured pouch

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

The recipes were ok but very heavily apple based which made them very sweet

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

No. I wouldn't purchase based on price and such a heavy apple influence. Similar non chilled items are available for less than half the price.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I would recommend as an occasional product, but certainly wouldn't recommend as a day to day choice

SurreyArmyWife · 16/08/2017 19:41
  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No I did not know this, but I probably won't change the way I shop: non chilled food is more practical to buy, store and take out for lunches

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The plain apple one

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

They tasted great and my son really liked them. But they all contained a lot of apple. I would prefer more vegetable based recipes.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Maybe. A lot would depend on the price point. I wouldn't be willing to pay much of a premium for it

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes. My son liked them.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I had no idea about pet food. Chilled baby food is a great idea, if there were proper meal options available, not just largely fruity flavours it may change how I shop.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
He seemed to devour them all but the he likes the cucumber one in particular.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
By using more vegetables / pulses rather than fruit. Other pouches seem to do this I think, although I only buy pouches for feeding when were staying away from home mainly.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
This form of preparation really appeals to me but I wouldn't buy them due to the over-reliance on fruit and their response to this test.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
No I would not. They're too fruit heavy. I did not receive a voucher as promised for the out of date pouch. I also emailed a query about one of my pouches not having a use by date on at all and I got no reply.
LoudestRoar · 16/08/2017 20:33

@StillNoFuckingEyeDeer this is exactly what happened to my son, his poor bum was bleeding by morning.

choc coconut one

sounds and looks so much better
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
yes, because it's fresh
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
yes, it's fresh and baby enjoyed it also so healthy

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I didn't know that but it won't have any bearing on my decision making. I can buy many things for my pets that I can't buy for my daughter, and vice versa.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The one with coconut milk and cacao.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

I think the taste is better, it doesn't taste muted the way the heat pasteurised foods to. The taste is a lot stronger, like real food.

The amount of apple put me off but I find that with most baby food, the description sounds interesting and healthy but when you look at the ingredients they are mostly apple. This is no different in that respect, although I expected it to be!

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Yes, on occasion because I can't get my daughter to eat other baby food and I can't purée everything all the time!

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I would recommend it to anyone who is having problems with traditional food, otherwise it would depend on the price really. I wouldn't recommend it as a first choice if it was very expensive. My daughter has a milk allergy so with the coconut milk one is was nice for her to have a dessert that tastes chocolatey, she hadn't had that before. I'd recommend that to other parents of children with milk allergies.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I had noticed chilled toddler food but nothing for babies. I can't say I'd seen chilled pet food either! I don't think it will change how I shop as there aren't sufficient My Savse flavours available to do without other products.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
He liked all of them. I think blueberry, prune, plum, apple and banana was the favourite.
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
These pouches have more unusual ingredients than some of their competitors. If I was using these when first weaning I would prefer more options which weren't sweet to get my baby used to savoury flavours. However, I was using these mainly as a pudding following a main course for my 14 month old and for that they were perfect.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

I'm not sure I know enough about the pros and cons of different methods of food preparation to know what is objectionable about heat pasteurisation. However, my son did enjoy these pouches very much so I would buy them if the price was acceptable.

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
Yes, it was an easy way of introducing some new flavours and my son enjoyed all of them.

My other comment is about the packaging. I liked how it looked and that you could see the product through the packaging. I also liked the fact that the packaging seemed thinner as I hope this means it used fewer resources. However, I'm not sure the packaging is robust enough as several of the pouches I received in the post had leaked. Admittedly normally they wouldn't have to go through the post but they would have to make it home in a shopping bag and then survive in the fridge for a few weeks.

del2929 · 16/08/2017 22:00

Major panick as im reading some pouches were out of date. o.m.g i didnt even check. worst mother ever arghhhhh

if it was priced competitively then yes-

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

1.Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

I'm sure I've seen chilled baby food in M&S but advertised on the package as being suitable for age 10+ months so to me chilled baby food is already a thing, it's just that it's for older babies. I dont have a dog so I don't look at pet food.

2.Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
My daughter only tried the blueberry and plum and the cumcumber/kale/spinach. She had the blueberry plum yesterday and shortly afterwards was very windy and upset, pulling her knees up to her tummy, and crying in a way that suggested she was in pain (high pitched, griping cry). After reading some of the responses on the other thread I decided she wouldn't be participating in the rest of the test. Today she was back to her usual smiley self so I decided to try a different flavour. Exact same reaction. There is nothing in the pouches ingredient list that she hasn't already tried and she's been fine so I don't know what is causing her to have tummy pain and wind but it's been twice now and both times around two hours after having a pouch so I'm not giving her a third. Out of the two she tried, the blueberry plum was her favourite.

3.How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
I'm not convinced they're offering anything new or unique other than funky sounding flavours. They seem very low on protein and grains plus the ingredients on the front don't reflect the quantities given in the ingredients list. For example, cucumber, kiwi, kale, spinach, apple and banana. From the name you'd think that the main ingredient is cucumber followed by kiwi, kale, etc and that it reflects the quantities used of each ingredient. Yet when you read the ingredients it's 35% apple, 16% banana, 16% spinach, and then 11% each of the three remaining ingredients. All of the pouches have apple and banana as the largest ingredient so I find the way the ingredients are ordered on the front of the pouch misleading when compared to the back. The "as good as home made" fell flat with me because I wouldn't put so much sweet stuff into something that wasn't a dessert or an actual fruit puree. I don't add apple to something like a carrot and pumpkin puree and I don't give banana at every meal.

4.Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
No. Even if my daughter hadn't reacted badly to them I don't care enough about the cold press thing to make me deliberately seek them out. In addition to this the chilled thing makes them less convenient as they're only good out of the fridge for six hours so I couldn't take them on a day out due to time factors. It also says that once opened they need to be used within 12hrs, my daughter only eats half a pouch at a time so the other half has been getting binned as it won't keep which feels very wasteful especially given the price of them.

5.Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

No and for the reasons given which boil down to:

  • too sweet, too much fruit flavour and not enough savoury
  • misleading flavour names, they're basically Apple and banana puree with a bit veg chucked in
  • the potential for tummy troubles if your baby reacts to them
  • too much of a faff to calculate how long they've been out of the fridge/are they safe to use still
  • too pricey

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?
I did not know this. I've looked for chilled baby food since but haven't found it.
  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?
She ate them all. She eats everything!
  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?
Definitely need to split the sweet and savoury. I want sweet (like the apple on its own) to mix with natural yoghurt, porridge, etc and savoury as an actual main course. They need to be more substantial (e.g. Babease include brown rice and things like that to make it more of a meal) and have more texture. Different "stages" definitely a good idea.
  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?
I would if it was around £1 a pouch or less, yes. I can't spend much more than that on pouches and have to make a lot homemade in addition as it just gets so expensive. A pouch like this isn't even a third of one meal for my 10 month old.
  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?
I'm not sure. My baby did eat the out of date one before I read the email. She was ill for a few days with a slightly upset stomach and also a fever which may have been unrelated, but worth mentioning. I'm not pleased that it was sent and also that I never received a replacement that was promised. No use sending a voucher either as I don't know anywhere that sells it near me. Anyway, she liked them but I prefer the ingredients in Babease as they're less sweet and more filling. These are more desserty. The fridge thing was fine by me as you have 12 hours to use it when it's taken out so I could still take them "on the go" or use them at home when I couldn't do homemade. The cold-pressed vs heat pasteurised, I don't know much about, but it seems like a sensible idea.

  1. I didn't realise there was no chilled baby food. I thought I had seen some tray type microwave meals in the chiller before, but maybe these are toddler meals rather than baby food.
  2. My sons favourite was the cacao one. I tasted it too and it was pretty nice.
  3. What could be improved? I thought the textures were much runnier than other purees I've tried before and I struggled to keep them on the spoon so we ended up mixing most of the pouches with porridge. Also the prunes pouch made for explosive nappies the next day.
  4. It wouldn't really make a difference to me whether a product was heat pasteurised or not. If you made single flavour pouches for first weaning, e.g. Just sweet potato etc then I would have been more interested in using them.
  5. I would probably recommend just as I would recommend other pouches I have used. Nothing made these stand out from the crowd apart from not being pasteurised and I'm not sure the benefits of this are advertised enough for the customer to make an informed decision.

  1. Did you know that until My First Savsé came along, there was chilled pet food available in retailers but no chilled baby food? Will this change the way you shop for your little one?

No, I wasn't aware. I don't think it will change the way I shop.

  1. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

The coconut and cacao pouch.

  1. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

They are way too thin and watery, it was hard to get some to stay on the spoon! It was like a drink rather than food. Also the flavour range/contents could be improved - these aren't enough to fill up my baby! The pouches are probably similar to fruit and veg pouches from the supermarket but not as practical. The cold pressed benefits probably wouldn't stand out for me. I did like that I didn't have to worry about checking for milk allergens.

  1. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

No, not now I have seen the price!

  1. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

I would recommend them to any particular friends worried about heat pasteurising and non organic ingredients etc.

We’d also love to see some photos of your little one testing My First Savsé cold-pressed baby food, so please share on the thread if you can.

I have seen chilled pet food, it wouldn't change the way I shop.

2. Which was your little one’s favourite recipe from the My First Savsé Stage 1 range?

Coconut, Cacao, Apple and Banana (although he liked all of them excluding the beetroot)

3. How could My First Savsé improve their recipes? How would you say My First Savsé compares to the current offering of baby food pouches in supermarkets?

Less apple content with a wider range of meals - meat maybe? Different textures, they were very runny and smooth so only for starting weaning.

The pouches are similar to current offerings, but more inconvenient when travelling due to the chilled nature. It is nice to think that they have a higher nutrient content though.

4. Knowing that My First Savsé is never heat pasteurised, would you purchase My First Savsé if it was widely available in supermarkets, and why?

Probably not, as they are really expensive and best suited to home use anyway so I would rather make food fresh.

5. Would you recommend My First Savsé baby food to a friend or family member, and why?

Yes, my son enjoyed them and they seem to be of a high quality.
