Tefal has asked us to find 30 Mumsnetters with at least one child over the age of 2 to test the Tefal one-pot digital cooker Cook4Me (RRP £269.99).

Here’s what Tefal have to say about the product: “You don’t need to be a masterchef to achieve delicious meals in no time! Tefal have innovated again, and now give you Cook4Me.

Cook4Me is a one-pot digital cooker, ideal for parents looking to make fast and fresh meals:
- It is easy to use and intuitive: Cook4Me comes with 50 built-in recipes, and features a digital screen with guided cooking steps.
- Cook4Me cooks under pressure, which means you will save a lot of time. For example, after browning and pre-heating, it cooks a Chicken Tikka Masala in 3 minutes, a Thai Green Chicken curry in 4 minutes and a Risotto in 9 minutes (and no need to stir!)…
- It is the ideal all-in-one cooker, with up to 6 cooking manual modes: not only does it pressure cook, but it also steams, browns, simmers, gentle-cooks and automatically keeps your food warm. Its dishwasher-safe bowl can feed 6 people, perfect for the whole family or for batch-cooking.

Cook4Me comes in a standard version, with 50 built-in recipes (RRP is £269.99), and in a Connected version, that works with My Cook4Me app, giving access to over 100 recipes (RRP is £319.99).”

If selected, you’ll need to test Cook4Me as a part of your normal routine for 2 weeks and give feedback on a thread as well as completing a short survey. All who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

The husband wants tacos for dinner and I've noticed there's a taco recipe on the app so it'd be good to give it a test run tonight.

Ooh. My cooker has arrived. This is very exciting.

Thank you so much.

Just in the middle of baking for the school fete tomorrow but I'm going to look over the instructions over a coffee in a while.

ShelaghTurner · 30/06/2017 09:44

PurpleCrazyHorse · 30/06/2017 10:34

Ulysses · 30/06/2017 10:36

PyongyangKipperbang · 30/06/2017 11:04

JamesDelayneysTattoos · 30/06/2017 11:13

We are going to have meatballs in tomato sauce and vegan dd is having pea and mint risotto ( swapping cheese for vegan varieties, I'll let you know how that goes ).

Crime brûlée for dessert, what a treat.

Ulysses · 30/06/2017 11:24

Cheers James! I know the DPD man quite well so expect to receive it about 4 o'clock so it should be here for teatime. I am all so excited for you all that have theirs already!

Kitchen rearranged and it has a home. Can't wait to get started later, shame it works so fast, I want to use it now!

Mine has arrived! We do the weekly shop tomorrow so I shall have a look at the recipes and plan accordingly!

ShelaghTurner · 30/06/2017 13:01

It's here! I'm too excited so have abandoned non-Tefal meal plan for tonight and am going to buy more chicken for my risotto!

PyongyangKipperbang · 30/06/2017 14:32

Currently have chilli cooking for DH later and will be making Thai green curry for me in a bit! I have left it alone in the kitchen while it is pressurised though as I am 44 and my idea of a pressure cooker is pictures in the tabloids in the 70's of a pan lid buried in the kitchen ceiling because the pressure got too much!

ShelaghTurner · 30/06/2017 14:55

That is exactly what my mother said about 10 minutes ago! Grin I tried to explain that things have moved on... Grin

MissEliza · 30/06/2017 15:06

Mine is here! I've been holding back from doing my shopping for the weekend until it came.

supermariossister · 30/06/2017 15:40

All set up and connected ready for our first meal, probably tomorrow as need to pick up some ingredients as think itll be better to stick to the preinstalled to begin with. Found the set up really easy, hardest part was getting it out of the box!

So....have done the chilli and I found that it cooked as it said but I would add about a third less liquid next time as it was very runny. I put it on the manual "browning" setting for a little while and it reduced down but that rather removes the benefits of it cooking so fast!

The Thai green curry is very nice indeed. Quite liquid but then they are supposed to be. It was very hot but then I realised that I had bought the wrong paste Blush

I have to say that I am impressed at the speed. Started setting it up and cooking just after 2 pm and by 4pm I had done both, and that included the reducing time for the chilli.

PyongyangKipperbang · 30/06/2017 17:06

Has anyone found any instructions for the basket by the way?

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 30/06/2017 17:32

Bacon and leek risotto rice for us this evening now I've downloaded the app which was easy.

I have a little silver steaming pot inside mine. I take it that's for doing veg over water?

I've made cupboard space to store it, it's quite big.

YogiYoni · 30/06/2017 17:54

Dh texted me earlier: "your shiny new gadget is here"

I've been home about 15 mins and in that time I've set it up and prepped the butternut squash risotto. It's cooking now.

Things I like so far:
Ease of use
Recipe / app / 'gadget' telling me exactly what to do
Sounds mean I can turn away from it (wash up as I go along) as it beeps when it needs attention me

Things I don't:
The 'preheating' time - twice for this dish - adds to the overall time for cooking the dish, making the timings on the app a bit misleading

DC have just come running into the kitchen: "what's that?" and are desperate to see what comes out of it
