Tefal has asked us to find 30 Mumsnetters with at least one child over the age of 2 to test the Tefal one-pot digital cooker Cook4Me (RRP £269.99).

Here’s what Tefal have to say about the product: “You don’t need to be a masterchef to achieve delicious meals in no time! Tefal have innovated again, and now give you Cook4Me.

Cook4Me is a one-pot digital cooker, ideal for parents looking to make fast and fresh meals:
- It is easy to use and intuitive: Cook4Me comes with 50 built-in recipes, and features a digital screen with guided cooking steps.
- Cook4Me cooks under pressure, which means you will save a lot of time. For example, after browning and pre-heating, it cooks a Chicken Tikka Masala in 3 minutes, a Thai Green Chicken curry in 4 minutes and a Risotto in 9 minutes (and no need to stir!)…
- It is the ideal all-in-one cooker, with up to 6 cooking manual modes: not only does it pressure cook, but it also steams, browns, simmers, gentle-cooks and automatically keeps your food warm. Its dishwasher-safe bowl can feed 6 people, perfect for the whole family or for batch-cooking.

Cook4Me comes in a standard version, with 50 built-in recipes (RRP is £269.99), and in a Connected version, that works with My Cook4Me app, giving access to over 100 recipes (RRP is £319.99).”

If selected, you’ll need to test Cook4Me as a part of your normal routine for 2 weeks and give feedback on a thread as well as completing a short survey. All who give the required feedback will be entered into a prize draw where one MNer will win a £100 voucher.

Thanks and good luck!

I'll have to have a look at their YouTube channel Ulysses. I never would have thought of that.

ShelaghTurner · 21/06/2017 19:25

Just been looking too. Am totally doing chicken pesto risotto first. Yum!

PyongyangKipperbang · 21/06/2017 20:16

I think I will test if first with veggie dishes. I love curry so the tikka massala would be nice but I have a thing about undercooked chicken so I want to be sure it really can cook something in 3 minutes before risking it!

ShelaghTurner · 21/06/2017 20:31

From the videos I've watched they all seem to cut the meat up very small. And then for lamb shanks etc the cooking time is much longer so I'm sure it's fine.

regularbutpanickingabit · 21/06/2017 21:56

Oh oh oh oh THANK YOU!!! Was just feeling a bit despondent reading that testers had been emailed and hadn't seen a message. Just did a search in my inbox and, magically, there it was!
Very lucky indeed and promise to work it hard. So to speak.

PyongyangKipperbang · 22/06/2017 01:00

Shelagh I know that you are right, but I had food poisoning once so my paranoid brain wont let me believe it! Although I do have a meat thermometer and an unafraid DH so maybe I will make it and then make him test it :o

JASWITHUS · 22/06/2017 12:03

If we had already received 30 wows until you receive one from mine, then consider me as one of the non-testers, otherwise I am still refreshing my inbox and checking the junk mail folder :)

ShelaghTurner · 22/06/2017 12:59

Oh alright then Pyong, I'll test the meat dishes for you... :o

Ginkypig · 22/06/2017 13:26

Iv not had an email Sad or have I missed it mnhq?

Well done everyone who was selected, hope it's nice to use.

PyongyangKipperbang · 22/06/2017 14:35

:o Shelagh! You are such a giving person!

PyongyangKipperbang · 22/06/2017 17:09

I missed the email sent yesterday, it went in to junk but luckily Justine sent an email today about the app so we are now also in.

I really hope this is as good as it reads and I hope we can add tried recipes here for ideas. I'm going to get my children on board

Ulysses · 22/06/2017 18:31

Ooh I'd be delighted with the Bluetooth version. We have every device going so I'll be showing DH and DD11 how to use it too. Fun for all the family surely!

ShelaghTurner · 22/06/2017 18:35

I was secretly hoping for the connect one but didn't want to be greedy Grin

ShelaghTurner · 22/06/2017 18:38

The only thing that concerns me is the great explosion of steam at the end. If I remember rightly the instant pot - or whatever other gadget I had a YouTube fixation on - tells you when it was cooked and you tell it to release the steam so you can ensure that small people and clueless family members are well clear.

It is alright if I start the review now isn't it? Grin

Welshmaenad · 22/06/2017 18:58

Very excited to be testing this and have already downloaded the app ready to go!!

MidnightVelvetthe7th · 22/06/2017 19:01

My email also went into junk yesterday but saw the one today! Eek exciting, I have an iphone7 that isn't on the list so presumably I'll get the standard one.....

Ulysses · 22/06/2017 19:18

I would have thought the iPhone7 is has been omitted in error Midnight. DH has one and I'm sure he'd be at a loss if he couldn't use it to its full potential too Hmm!

Away to download the app!

Ulysses · 22/06/2017 19:40

I have been going through the recipes on the app and am champing at the bit to get started. Have favourited about 10 of the recipes already including French scrambled eggs, moules marienere and molten chocolate puds.

I can feel my waistline stretching already just looking at the app. I love steamed puddings but we never attempt them at home due to the faff and lack of time.

Until now...

toopeoply · 22/06/2017 21:29

I'm in too. I hope this works in transforming my cooking!

saltedcaramelhotchoc · 24/06/2017 07:12

There's a FB group too. I have been looking at what people have cooked on there. Looking great so far....

MidnightVelvetthe7th · 24/06/2017 10:46

Yep the iphone 7 is compatible :)

Have downloaded the app, could never be arsed to make risotto before but I might try now
