How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 15 months
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? I liked it's slimline loko and the angled nozzle
-How easy was it to administer the product? Very difficult. The container is too large to hold in one hand and press the nozzle correctly to actually get spray out whilst my toddler screamed and wriggled and fought. It became so distressing for her that we gave up

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
When we did manage to successfully administer the spray, her nose was clearer immediately. I just wish she didn't hate it so much :-(

Nice packaging and unique spray design

Love that there is an adult one too

  • How old is the child you tested Stérimar Baby with?

three months

  • What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?

nice, clear packaging. Product was bigger than I expected as I'd previously used calpol spray but this was easier to find in my bag when out!

  • How easy was it to administer the product?

Really easy. Much easier than the calpol saline spray, which I find a bit stressful! Only took about twenty seconds all in all! The nozzle fits so well in the nose without causing discomfort!

  • how soon, if at all, did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

Within ten minutes my baby was breathing significantly easier. She was really blocked up and struggling to feed or sleep so I was very grateful for it! I'm a convert now from the calpol one!

  • How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
14 months
  • What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
That it would be the same as other saline sprays, however the pump action of the bottle seemed much more effective than others that I've used.
  • How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy, the pump action is much easier than other saline sprays and the nozzle doesn't block as it does in others. We call this "tickle spray" and my son enjoys us using it on him.
  • How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Straight away, and then he is generally able to blow his nose and clear a large amount about a minute later, making even more of a difference.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
10 Months old
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Love the canister/bottle, nice picture, easy to hold, obvious what you have to do and I love that it is pressurised so can be used upside down and the pressure is always the same. I think it helps to get more out of the product than normal spray ones too.
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy due to the pressurisation.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Within 5 minutes. He didn't particularly enjoy the application, but soon figured out that it was over very quickly and helped him breathe!

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Looks nice, nice packaging and simple instructions

-How easy was it to administer the product?
I struggled to get it to work - frustrating when I'd finally managed to pin down a grumpy baby!

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
I didn't notice any improvement.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
18 months
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Nice design, good size, looked like it'd be easier to administer (how wrong I was...)
-How easy was it to administer the product?
for an older child or indeed a tiny baby this probably would've been easy to administer. But with a struggling, wailing 18 month old who cannot be reasoned with after the first powerful spray of it up his nose it was a bloody nightmare. I even tried it on myself and my husband and I then understood why I got such protestations from my son! It really is quite powerful!
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
I didn't. My son ended up worse than before I used it after all of the crying and fighting

happy13 · 08/11/2016 22:56

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
I used sterimar baby on my 8 month old and my two year old.
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? I have used the atandard sterimar in the past so has my husband so have an idea what it's like. The difference I first noticed was the difference in the nozzle.

-How easy was it to administer the product?very easy to administer as it can be used at any angle which is great as both my baby and two year old really wriggle a lot when trying to spray their nostrils.I tested the spray in the air and you can see it gives a fine mist,it's easy enough to spray.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?Quite soon after I noticed less snuffles. They both had colds so it was needed to give a bit of relief especially at night when it's harder to sleep.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
She's nearly three months old now

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Good! I liked the nozzle and it looked easier to use than some of the other sprays or drops I've tried before with my other child and this baby. The product looked to be a good size too.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy to use. The nozzle shape made it easy to use on a small baby and the instructions were nice and clear. It was easy to clean and I didn't have any difficulties in keeping little one's head still to administer it.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
It seemed to help clear up her nose a little quite quickly. She suffers with a blocked nose quite a lot due to reflux and a spray up each nostril seemed to bring her relief right away.

It was pretty quick, he seemed a lot less bunged up

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
10months

What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Surpised how large the bottle is and how quiet it sprays, I was concerned it may sound like an aerosol but it doesn't.

How easy was it to administer the product?
As with most things it's hard to get baby to sit still but after a few goes she got used too it and most of the time allowed me to spray it which can easily be done one handed while holding baby.

How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
It was hard to tell until very recently when my baby got a cold which she still is full of now but the spray seems to be helping her breath more easily and breaking down her blocked nose.

peaceloveandbiscuits · 09/11/2016 18:04

Embarrassingly, DS did not have a cold in the time I had the product to test ConfusedBlush so I haven't been able to test it at all. Do I need to return the product?

How easy was it to administer the product? Not easy at all. Children kept pulling away/wriggling.

DS 22m, DD 6m

Light, ergonomic, larger bottle than expected
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy first time, less so after as DS was quite distressed by how violent the spray was
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Immediately for both of them.
DS has chronic rhinitis and this is the best we've tried

Was 1-4 months while using it.
- What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Works well but big nozzle and spray quite off putting for a newborn!
- How easy was it to administer the product?
Easier as she got older and could support own head
- How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Minutes - worked really quickly

Wilberforce2 · 09/11/2016 21:03

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

She is 2.5

What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?

Nice bottle, eye catching packaging and looked user friendly.

How easy was it to administer the product?

It was ok but any problems were due to my toddler not cooperating and nothing to do with the spray! I can imagine that if I were using it on a baby then it would be so easy.

How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

About 20 mins, it worked really fast and she was so much better afterwards. I used it in myself as well because I had an awful cold and it was great!

Vicki009 · 09/11/2016 21:35

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
He's 10.5 months old.

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Very good, I've been interested to try it for a while, I think the packaging is very nicely designed and has all the information you need.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
I think they've made it as easy to attempt to administer as possible, however getting an unruly baby to stay still in order to do it is the problem!

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Quite quickly, especially when used just before bed, but unfortunately he did seem to get bunged up again relatively soon after.

misseskimo · 09/11/2016 21:52

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
16 months
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Great product, easy to use, and handy size for putting in your change bag
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy, however I did notice that on a few occasions the way I pressed the button meant that it sent a continuous spray into my son's nose, which didn't stop when I depressed the button. Almost as if it was stuck or had a set "dosage" for how much to administer?
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Within a few minutes at most. Only ever needed one spray. This was especially useful at night when laying down, as it meant he could breath easier whilst asleep.

Great product, thank for letting us be a part of the testing! :)
