I used the spray with my four month old daughter.

First impressions were of nice, simple packaging and an easy to use product.

It was very easy and intuitive to use.

My baby wasn't having any difficulty breathing. However the spray easily shifted some dry bogeys, which she is prone to.

  • How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

3 months

  • What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?

Natural product that I was happy to use on such a young baby

  • How easy was it to administer the product?

Very easy once I got the hang of it. To start with I was pressing the wrong bit so only a tiny amount came out. Once o had a go outside of a nostril I learned which part to press

  • How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier

It loosened the snot very quickly, within a minute of so. Then I used a snot sucker to clear it completely.

leanneth · 10/11/2016 07:58

I used this with my 12 month old baby. First impressions were that it was a very interesting shape spray- which when I tested produced a very fine mist.
Baby was not interested the first few times and it was difficult to get the spray near him. He's a wriggler so it ended up Over his face a few times!
Recently though, he has actually been leaning his nose towards me when I get the spray out! I think he might like it.
He is chronically snotty though so not sure if it's made a difference- perhaps he is slightly less snotty overall.

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
It looked easy to use. I tested it in the air to make sure it didn't spray too forcefully.
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Not particularly easy! DS was not at all impressed by the whole situation and tried to escape.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Within a few minutes lots of fluid leaked back out and he was breathing easier. A lifesaver when he will only sleep while sucking a dummy.

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Reassuring packaging stating the natural allergy friendly properties. Quite a large amount that lasts for ages. Very easy to use, much better than similar products on the market, more gentle on baby but more effective spray too.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Extremely easy to use, no fussing by my baby, in fact I think she liked it! I wasn't worried about the nossle hurting her if she moved suddenly, it was very well designed.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Straight away she was able to breathe more easily. I administered it straight before a feed to help her feed better and it really did the trick.

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Nice packaging, bottle design seemed a little odd but having read the instructions it made sense why it was designed like this.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Easy but my daughter hated it.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Didn't notice a lot of difference, used it on myself and it gave me relief for little while but only about 15 mins or so. It was a lot more pleasant than squirting other nasal sprays but not as effective.

Givemecoffeeplease · 10/11/2016 14:07

Testers, we’d like you to answer the following questions:

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
16months

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Positive, easy to use, natural, mild and good value.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very, the spray was more gentle and could be used onehanded, unlike another make I have used previously- this meant baby didn't mind it being used either.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Very soon, used on stuffy baby during night which cleared nose enough to make breastfeeding more comfortable for them. Nose stayed clear a good while following use.

A smaller travel size can would be good, as I found it rather large to carry about during the day!

Nightfall1983 · 10/11/2016 17:19

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
My baby is 10 months old
What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
I thought it looked bulky and would be annoying to move around/keep in the changing bag etc as it is significantly bigger than other saline products. I didn't think it would be that great (it was).
How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy. I was pleased by how consistent the spray way, compared to pump action saline sprays which I find to be a bit hit and miss. I liked that it could be used at any angle.
How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
As always with saline, it's hard to say. It clearly loosened the mucous in the front of the nose but I'm not sure how much it REALLY helped. However it certainly didn't hurt and I would keep using it on the off chance.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
18 months (plus my 3 years old wanted to have a go!)

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Very positive! I must say I'm thrilled to be able to treat snotty nose naturally! So important for little ones and so useful at this time of the year! Looks effective and easy to use

-How easy was it to administer the product?
I got to try out the spray sooner than expected, runny little nose appeared one morning and I couldn't keep up with the nose wiping! So I gave the spary a try, one on each nostril. To be honest, my son didn't like it at all. Although he tried to resist, I managed to spray a sufficient amount thanks the unique shape of the bottle! Very handy!

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
The spray worked very well within an hour, after one use only I could see a great improvement. I kept with the treatment for about a week and the nose was getting dryer (in a god way!) every day. My son slept so much better, no snoring or waking up few times a night.
I even tried it on my three years old who had the same issue. After spraying on the first nostril she was shocked: "why did you do that?!" and didn't like the feeling. The day after it she came and asked for it during bedtime, saying it help her to sleep better! And it did!

Highly recommend this spray and can't think of a better to treat a child's runny nose! Will be definitely purchasing its again.

Quite easy to use

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

Bec0mum · 10/11/2016 21:48

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
I tried it on myself, my 5 year old son and my 18 month old daughter

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
I like the packaging and the applicator. I love that it is a natural product.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy on myself. More tricky in the children as they panicked and wondered what I was doing to them. The 5 year old was easier as I could explain it to him.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
My toddler got very upset so she was a snotty mess but myself and my 5 year old felt we could breathe a lot more easily after a few minutes if not instantly.

Pickofthepops · 10/11/2016 21:48

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
My dd has just turned two
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Babyr?
Reassuringly fresh, light, simple and clean looking.

How easy was it to administer the product?
Really easy once you have a few quick tests of the 'range' of the pump spray

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

Immediate relief for her, thank you so much. She didn't get distressed which was the case with a similar but actually far inferior product.

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Much bigger bottle than I thought it was going to be. Packaging quite discrete, not sure clear exactly what the product inside was
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Yes, pretty simple. Daughter hates things near her nose so was still tricky, but easy squirty action
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Very soon. She was very snotty and the spray helped clear her nose immediately. She even learnt the blow her nose!

LovelyBranches · 10/11/2016 22:27

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
DS has just had his 2nd birthday.

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
I like the packaging. It looks clean and the nozzle is easy to wipe over after use. It sprays evenly and not too forcefully and I like the way it sprays the same whichever direction it is pointing in.

-How easy was it to administer the product?

The product itself was super easy. My toddler was a different story but after we had used it a couple of times he started asking for it. I think he realised it worked.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? Immediately, we used the sterimar usually in the evening when DS tends to get most blocked. It works really well for him and we didn't have to readminister. It felt safe and more natural to use than calpol but seemed to be far better at helping DS with nasal discomfort.

Thank you for letting us try this. I would certainly recommend it and use/buy it again in the future.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Fairly easy, I thought it would be hard before trying it out.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
I'd say after a few days that I noticed my son could breathe much easier. He could also eat and sleep much better than before using this product.

What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
I really liked the can. Although it reminds me of suncream or some other product. I like that though, it's different to all the medical looking bottles.

How easy was it to administer the product?
The button was a bit stiff and sometimes I thought I had pressed it properly but hadn't and nothing had come out which was annoying. Once your thumb/finger is in the right position it's ok. Having said that, I did find it much much better than any of the drops I have used previously. My child hates anything that touches the nose and tries to fight it, but this was much quicker and neater to do than usual. I was actually a little gutted when the email survey suggested it wasn't in shops yet on one question, because I don't want to go back to normal drops now.

How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Straight away or very quickly.

hannahbjm · 11/11/2016 10:03

11 months old

I think the bottle looked huge compared to other brands I have used and nossle also looked huge.

I think it was quite hard but mainly due to a baby girl that hates staying still and kept moving her head side to side.

Did help her breathe straight away and made her sneeze but effects were only temporarily for a minute until she got blocked up again. Did clear the blockage though

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Was glad it was natural.
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Not easy on my son, he was not keen on having the nozzle placed in his nose and went ballistic when it was sprayed.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
No real difference but this could be because it may not have been administered effectively, as DS was wriggling like crazy.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

23 months

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?

I knew my son would hate it as he hasn't enjoyed other similar products. I liked the packaging and thought that it was good that it was completely natural. I got to use it quite quickly because he got a cold soon after I received the product.

-How easy was it to administer the product?

It was easier than I expected but he didn't enjoy it! It was quite quick though compared to similar products and didn't seem as uncomfortable as others I have used.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

It worked quite quickly and he could breathe a lot easier, especially at night. I would definitely use it again - thanks for letting me try it out!

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Rather easy. Much easier than others
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? She became cheeky straight after but she was still bunged up. Will repeat at bedtime and see what happens
