How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
Just over 2 years old. Good timing because she developed a bad cold around the time the spray arrived.

What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
I initially thought that my daughter wouldn't be keen on having such an obvious spray used up her nose, but she soon got used to it and sat still when it was time to use it. I think she was probably aware that it helped to clear her nose.

How easy was it to administer the product?
Quite easy although you do need to hold it the right way to have enough strength to press the spray. Long nozzle is good.

How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Pretty much straight away.

asuwere · 06/11/2016 19:36

Just wanted to add that DH (35) has used the spray today and he loves it! Says it worked amazingly well, immediate results and he is keeping it! Not quite the target age range but thought it was worth sharing his feedback :)

  1. How old is the child you tested sterimar baby with?
My daughter is three years old.

2.what were your first impressions of sterimar baby?
The packaging was child friendly and easy to read. I liked that it is in a spray format and is easy to hold and that it has a lid to replace after use.

3.How easy was it to administer the product?
The first time it was okay as my daughter didn't know what to expect and I done it really quickly. Trying after this she knew what I was going to be doing and said she didn't want me to do it. I did find it sprayed and didn't go near the nose because of my daughter moving away.it therefore then takes a while to get any in meaning quite a lot is wasted. With encouragement my daughter did let me use the spray but did tell me she didn't like it , she was keen however to do it herself although couldn't manage to do it accurately alone.

4.how soon if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
I did notice within a few days as funnily enough my daughter was full of cold the day the sterimar arrived. I think it would have been more effective if I was able to get it into her more frenquently and easily

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
15 months

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
It looks easy to use with clear instructions. I tested it on myself to see if it hurt/was cold/a shock but it was fine.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Quite easy, DS struggled a bit but because product is easy to use I could spray quickly.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Pretty much straight away, DS was struggling to breath to breastfeed but once he had a spray in each nostril he could feed again.

bakingqueen · 07/11/2016 11:38

Used on a 2 month old
Pleasant packaging
Very easy to administer
Immediate effects baby was able to feed much easier after usage

ursuslemonade · 07/11/2016 12:15

Baby has just turned 5 months.

The tip looks small enough to fit easily to the nostril.

It should be easy (I should know, I use the adult version) but the baby fights it all the time and this makes administering the spray on my own a bit more harder. However the design of the product is great.

Baby's breathing has become a lot better in a few days.

Child is 13 months,
Packaging is nice and product looks trustworthy,
I found it fairly easy to administer given I have a wriggly child that hates getting face washed, nose wiped etc and I think the shape of the nozzle helps.
My daughter is pretty congested at the moment and I found it was quite effective at loosening her nasal secretions within a few hours.

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Looked like quite big compared to the saline spray we usually use

Very easy - it squirts very quickly and easily. I think this is the best bit as natural sprays are quite similar apart from this

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
3 weeks at the time

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Loved it from first use

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy, the nozzle is designed well to just fit in the nose without going too far in. The spray will come out no matter what angle you hold it at, unlike other saline products I've used on my other dc. My baby didn't like it much, but no more or less than other solutions we tried.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Very soon, I found it worked best if I sprayed, waited a moment, sprayed again and then used an aspirator to remove snot.

MrsKHammond · 08/11/2016 12:05

My little one is 3 but I also tested this on myself.

First impressions: nice packaging, I liked the nossle thought it was practical for the product.

It was easy to administer although my boy didn't like the sensation of the spray shooting up his nose.

My little boy had a cough/ cold when the spray was delivered so it came at the right time. I didn't notice much of a difference BUT I did notice improvement.

lillyfer · 08/11/2016 13:10

19 months, I have never used this sort of product before, it looked good the applicator makes it easy to use. It started to work very quickly and helped her sleep better. I would use again

RolaColaLola · 08/11/2016 13:49

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
8 months

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Nice packaging

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Actually, I don't find this as easy as a similar product I've been using. My son didn't seem to like it either and it often ended up in his eye (which never happened with the alternative)

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
I didn't notice an immediate benefit, after a few minutes he seemed to be able to feed easier.

Cosmia · 08/11/2016 14:15

Bringmewineandcake · 08/11/2016 15:18

I tested Sterimar on my youngest DD who was 3-4 months old at the time.
First impressions were that the outer packaging didn't travel very well as the box was quite crushed. The packaging design was simple and reasonably attractive as a result.
It was easier to administer than other similar products as I found the spray much more reliable. The nozzle was a bit big for a little baby's nose but would not be an issue for slightly older baby. Other than the wriggling it was very easy to administer.
I found it pretty fast working once it had been administered. Generally she had a little sneeze soon after its use, and it was quite easy to wipe away the snot that the product drew out of her nose.
