-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
6 weeks old
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
I wasn't sure about it, I thought might upset ds and not really work. Im not sure I would have bought it.
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Really easy but ds very young , I can imagine an older child would protest more!I mentioned it to my 2.5 yo as she also had a bit of a stuffy nose and she was adamant she didn't want it anywhere near her! I don't think we'd ever have managed to use it on her!
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Almost instantly. It worked really really well. He straight away sounded clearer and fed better and was therefore calmer and happier. Brilliant product and I'd definitely buy in future for a small baby but not for an older child as probably wouldn't let you use it!

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

16 months old

  • What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?

I like the design of it, it is not too big and not too small.

  • How easy was it to administer the product?

Dd wasn't really willing to try sterimar baby, it took me a few attempts but I did it after 3/4 attempts.

  • How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

I didn't see much difference, but she was so fidgety that maybe I didn't do it properly.

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? Eight weeks
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? I thought it was really good, looked easy to use but I was a little concerned with the force that the spray came out with when I tested it.
-How easy was it to administer the product? It was very easy to use
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? He went absolutely nuts and cried for half an hour after using it so I suppose that did clear his nose out but not in the way I'd hoped. Unfortunately my three year old saw this which meant she wouldn't go anywhere near it. I didn't use it again as I didn't really want to risk the crying, even if it was a one off.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

He's 2 and a half

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?

I thought it looked great - I liked the packaging and the idea that it was totally natural. It looked like a good, simple concept and I was looking forward to trying it with my little one.

-How easy was it to administer the product?

With a younger child / baby I'm sure it would have been very easy. Unfortunately my son is at the age where anything new is suspect, so he was quite hostile to the idea. I'm looking forward to using it on my baby when he arrives next year.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

The effect was much quicker that I was expecting - my son seemed to settle within five minute minutes and was asleep within 15 minutes of using.

  1. DS is 2.4 years old.
  1. I was pleased to see that the ingredients were all natural, and liked the appearance of the packaging.
  1. It was easy to administer. DS wasn't keen to have the nozzle up his nose and resisted though.
  1. It worked almost instantly and seemed to make breathing easier.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Almost immediately - lots of mucus came out with spray.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
18 months and 6 months
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Really liked the look of the packaging and very impressed with the bottle size.
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Much easier than the previous spray bottles that I have used the pump action on them never worked every time and was a pain. Because this is angled and has a actual button it was much easier to use. My 18month old actually liked it a little too much!
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Instantly with both DDs really helped to clear the gunk when 18 month old had a heavy cold. 6month old we have had congestion issues with since she was 6 weeks old and previously used various saline nasal sprays and drops. This one has been a cut above the rest in terms of effectiveness and I won't be using anything else in the future. I'm not sure if it's the ingredients or the fact it's easier to use that makes it so effective either way it gets a huge thumbs up in this house!

CorporeSarnie · 04/11/2016 17:51

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
Just turned two, I've also used it on my 5yo
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
New packaging, looks more like a baby product than the old sterimar kids did, but otherwise same familiar product.
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy, I always prime the pump into a tissue to make sure it is spraying, then each nostril, then a clean.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
If it is going to work it is usually right away. I've almost stopped using the snot sucker now ds is getting bigger, with this product there usually isn't the need.

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 5 and 2 years
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? Looked good shape and different to other brands
-How easy was it to administer the product? Really easy which was good though did knock the top off at first
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? Straight away my 2 year old only let me use it on her once though funny about messing with her nose. My 5 year old was impressed with how quick it worked and asked me if she could have it when she felt bunged up

PennyPinwheel · 04/11/2016 18:49

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
13 months. Also tested it on myself and my 4 year old wanted to try it too!

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Looked good, natural and easy to use. Looked good quality.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
It was easy, although I hadn't realised it would keep spraying as long as you held the top down (previously we have used ones that dispense one spray at a time rather than a continuous spray). This meant it squirted me in the eye as I removed it!! Easy to use once I realised that though.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Straight away. Also made it easier to wipe away the mucus as it was runnier.

fuxxake · 04/11/2016 19:36

- How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
4 months & 2 years

- What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Nice eye catching packaging, looks appealing as a kids product.

- How easy was it to administer the product?
Fairly easy. Neither child was keen on having something squirted up an already blocked nose but 2 yr old soon realised it would help and tolerated it well. 4 month old didn't have much choice!

- How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Pretty quickly for both, within a few mins.
Satisfied with the product, will use again.

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
7 months

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Packaging looks good, appeared simple to use.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Not at all easy! Really difficult to get it anywhere near her nose once she knew what was about to happen. It made her very distressed.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Almost immediately, a lot of mucous came out straight away. However, I'm not sure I'd use it regularly as it upset her too much, only if she was really blocked and struggling to feed.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
8 months

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
the packaging was nice, and the nozzle has a handy rim to prevent it being inserted too far into the nose, which the adult version does not.

-How easy was it to administer the product?

my baby was fine the first time but then was very fussy whenever we tried there after.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
after a few minutes, once he had calmed down, he was more settled and less congested when feeding.

Uzma01 · 04/11/2016 20:53

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
My son is 15 months old.

What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Such a simple idea and good that it was non-medicinal.

How easy was it to administer the product?
Was a little fiddly at first but got used to it.

How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
After a few uses, as my son was really bunged up and uncomfortable, so this helped to ease the congestion.

Cineraria · 04/11/2016 21:10

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

12-13 months

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?

Bottle looks nice.

-How easy was it to administer the product?

Not at all easy. First nostril was tricky and often involved some kind of injury to person administering the spray (scratched face/split lip from head butt/kicked balls). The second nostril was generally impossible. We often ended up spraying him or ourselves in the eyes. DH wonders why the product doesn't have a soft silicone double nozzle to treat both nostrils at once.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

When he'd finished screaming, and sometimes vomiting, which was usually only when he was offered a breastfeed. He'd blow out a few huge snot bubbles over me and could then breathe beautifully and it lasted well too.

I really wish we could get the benefits of a product of this kind without him being so distressed.

StillNoFuckingEyeDeer · 04/11/2016 21:10

Tested on 5 month old (and curious 3, 5 and 38 year olds)

First impressions - liked that it's a natural product. Curious about how effective it would be.

Straightforward to administer. Easier with a non-wriggly subject.

Relieved the blocked nose within minutes.

I'd use this again.

Grandma14 · 04/11/2016 21:12

  • How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 14 months
  • What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? I liked the design of the spray and hoped it would mean less wastage than the pump action sprays
  • How easy was it to administer the product? So easy! Because it is a spray rather than a pump I didn't have to put the nozzle up her nose, just spray in the vicinity which was a lot less distressing for her.
  • How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? Almost immediately.

I also used it on myself and I think it's great. Will definitely buy it again
