Child is 9 months
Nice enough packaging
Impossible to administer, applicator too long. By the time we had got it in position child had struggled and moved head. Also managed to spray him in the eye by mistake, really not an ergonomic applicator.
Didn't notice an effect. Saline drops in traditional bottle much easier to administer and more effective.

  • How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 5 months and 2 years
  • What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? Nice, a product that would be easy to use
  • How easy was it to administer the product? Easy with the baby. Not so easy with the toddler as after having used it once he didn't like it, so had to run around the house after him and then try and hold him down to administer the product
  • How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? Right away, all the stuff came out right away and the kids could breathe again.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 10 weeks
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? Attractive packaging. Product itself looked daunting though and I was a bit worried about using it!
-How easy was it to administer the product? Would be easier on an older child - my DS was not cooperative!
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? A few mins

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Attractive packaging and easy to use bottle shape

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Relatively easy (for most I would imagine) although when my DS has a blocked, irritated nose it would be easier to administer to Lord Voldermort's nose than his...

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
I noticed he could breath slightly easier than before, although he definitely was not calmer, he was pretty furious in fact!

rachaelsit · 05/11/2016 08:04

Tested with 8 week old baby.
First impressions were good because product is natural. I don't like the packaging, the colours aren't appealing and it's a bit 'busy'.

It was easy enough to administer and worked within a few minutes. He really didn't enjoy having it put in his nose and for the level of stuffiness I'm not sure I'd use it again. I would use it with my toddler (although not sure id be able to administer unless he was really unwell)

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Was easy to use. Dd wasn't to sure about it though. She didn't like the spray.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Worked straight away. Had a happy baby afterwards.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
2 year old (3 next March)
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
The bottle is a lot bigger than similar products on the market, the nozzle also looked very different to those we have been using previously
-How easy was it to administer the product?
Very easy! When the product arrived we were in the middle of a cold spell so it went straight into use, previously used other similar products that have saline in them and it has always been a hassle due to the nozzle being rather large for small nostrils, this one has significantly smaller nozzle that fits perfectly into a little ones nostril.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Pretty much straightaway, when her nose was totally bunged up we did it twice and it worked.

postitnotes · 05/11/2016 11:49

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 1 and 2
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? That my children will hate it
-How easy was it to administer the product? Easy to administer, although not easy to convince child, or to get it near the nose without screams etc, so not untraumatic for the administering parent either.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? I didn't really notice much difference, the ensuing crying meant that a lot of snot was displaced anyway! However, I used it on myself when i had a suspected sinus infection and it was great. Will always use in the future and will definitely use with the children now that i am convinced it works.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
18 months old
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Before I started using this product I liked the design of it, but after applying it to my toddler it turned out that she does not like this applicator at all and she was not happy for me to use it. I've tried several times, but still no change. I'd like to mention that there were no such a problem with our usual nasal spray.
-How easy was it to administer the product?
I'd prefer the whole product to be a little bit smaller and did not like the shape of the applicator.
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
It's difficult to say as my toddler did not let me use the nasal spray properly

TheDuchessOfKidderminster · 05/11/2016 13:47

How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 13 months (I also tried it on my 4 year old but he really really didn't like it!).

What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? I liked the design and packaging and also liked the fact that it is a 'natural' product. It will last a good long time and after the first go (which startled him a bit) my baby didn't seem to mind it at all. It sprays more easily than the nasal spray I've got.

How easy was it to administer the product? Very easy provided the child doesn't mind it! The baby was ok with using it but after the first go my 4 year old cried and refused to ever try it again. I found the spray action to be easier to activate and to be gentler than the cheaper nasal spray I've already got and also found the applicator nozzle to be a better shape.

How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? It seemed to work straight away to clear his nose and also seemed to help keep his nose clearer whilst he was asleep (I used it before naps/bedtime.

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?
My little girl is 4 months old.

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
The packaging looked professional which increased my confidence in the product. It is something I would notice and pick out from a shelf of products.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Although my daughter hated the feel of the spray it was quick to administer so I did not struggle to give it by myself.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe. better?
Once she had stopped crying her breathing definitely appeared better and she seemed more content and slept better.

belleadele · 05/11/2016 18:16

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? Seemed very easy to use and "pharmaceutical" looking.
-How easy was it to administer the product? Very easy, you just press down, keeping your child from moving is the hard part!
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? Straight away as a lot more snot came out than usual, it really worked instantly.

fakesaliva · 05/11/2016 20:07

my baby is 6 months and i wanted to wanted to try this product as it seemed natural and i am big fan of non-chemical and drug free products for my baby. i found it very easy to administer, after reading the leaflet it all made sense and my little one felt much better immediately after the application. i have been using it whenever i've needed it and i am very pleased with this, will probably purchase again when it runs out.

DD is 2.8

Promising and wished I'd had this to try on previous stuffy nose warfare

-How easy was it to administer the product?
Not great :) application was met with all the outrage a 2yo can muster!

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Once the disgust had worn off, you could tell how much clearer she was so it was worth the stand off Grin

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? Looked easy to use, nice clean bottle
-How easy was it to administer the product? Very easy. I tried the spray on myself first so I knew what to expect for my little one
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? After a few minutes (she was quite teary / in shock at the spray!) but it definitely unclogged her nostrils well

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 4 months
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? It was a larger bottle than I expected as previous nasal sprays have all been in small bottles. This wasn't a problem though

Belmo · 06/11/2016 09:57

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

6 months (he was 4 months when we first received it)

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?

It arrived just as we were getting home from hospital, having been admitted overnight for croup, so felt like great timing!
The bottle looks nice.

-How easy was it to administer the product?

Way easier than the saline product I'd used before (think it was calpol). Really easy, basically.

Only problem I have found is that after spraying up one nostril, ds fights and wriggles when I try to do the other (I think because it is tickly rather than unpleasant as he's not distressed) and I always always end up spraying it in his eye. He never cries though so it mustn't sting!

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?

Immediately, usually.

Eye spraying aside it's a fab product, I'll buy it again!

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
It seemed like good value as it was so big.
Not very practical as I like to have a small changing bag and this would actually take up a lot of room
-How easy was it to administer the product?
I found it difficult to use as my baby didn't like it all
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
She could breath easier very quickly once I was able to administer it

Jodielg · 06/11/2016 12:58

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with?

-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby?
Something different that could help with stuffy noses with the adapted nozzle.

-How easy was it to administer the product?
As my little one wriggles all the time, even for nappy changes, this wasn't the easiest product to use for me.

-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier?
Within 10mins

woodwaj · 06/11/2016 13:46

-How old is the child that you tested Stérimar Baby with? 21 months
-What were your first impressions of Stérimar Baby? it looked good, I sprayed it before using it to see what it was like and it is much easier to use than the dropper ones you normally get
-How easy was it to administer the product? it was easy to administer it, now if you could invite a product to hold down a wriggler baby you've nailed it ;) on first use we had no problems at all, but once he knew what it did he put up a fight!
-How soon, if at all, after using the product did you notice that your child could breathe easier? within minutes, I would continue to use this even with a wriggly baby! I'll even be having a go myself when he passes on his cold!!

Thanks for having us test the product :D

Abodago81 · 06/11/2016 16:49

4 months when first used. Almost six months now.

Great first impressions. I liked the shaped nozzle.

Tricky to administer due to wriggly small baby with hitting hands etc. A few times I squirted her in the eye which is where the fact it was natural came in handy!!! Sometimes took two of us to hold her still.

The product had an almost instant effect, often with snot coming straight out and aiding her breathing.

I love this product and have recommended it to so many people already.
