This is the feedback thread for the 10 Mumsnetters trying the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

Non testers - we also have 5 handheld vacuums to be won - simply share on this thread what your least favourite room or place to vac is and you will be entered into a prize draw where 5 non testers will each win their very own Kobold VC100 handheld vacuum cleaner (RRP £129.00) Smile

Back to the test, the team at Kobold say “compact, unbeatably handy and extremely powerful, the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner is the ideal addition to your household, making life easier and cleaner.
Designed by global German household appliance manufacturer Vorwerk, the Kobold VK200, in combination with two different attachments, takes care of all your floor cleaning needs. Whether it’s carpets or hard floors – the VK200 Homecare System has it covered.
The unique SP530 DuoClean head allows you to mop and vacuum at the same time – a world first! It uses just 100ml of water to cover up to 20 m² of hard floor. And the best part? Simply remove the cleaning cloths when you’ve finished and pop them in the washing machine ready for next time.

“The EB400 brush head meanwhile ensures vacuuming is thorough, gentle and hygienic – driven by its own motor, a special rotating brush scans the floor 16 times per second and removes dirt and dust completely. Even the finest dirt particles do not stand a chance!

“Visit kobold.vorwerk.co.uk to find out more about the Kobold VK200 vacuum cleaner and discover the array of clever additional accessories that turn this machine into the Ultimate Homecare System! Simply click and swap to the attachment you need to expertly deal with upholstery, furniture, mattresses, textiles and anything else you need cleaned. Built to last, the Kobold VK200 is the only vacuum cleaner you’ll ever need”.

Our living room! We have a really shaggy rug, and it's an absolute nightmare to hoover!

itsmeexxx · 26/11/2016 10:45

my front room as its dark oak flooring so i have to vacuum then get on my hands and knees to use the floor wipes.I dont use a mop as it leaves the floor to wet (little one might slip up) and also the stairs! :-)

createbeauty · 26/11/2016 10:48

I hate doing the stairs, where the dog hair collects in the corners of each step and the hoover is so heavy, it's a real chore.

pauline51 · 26/11/2016 10:54

Least favourite is the spare bedroom to much clutter

Leiajulie · 26/11/2016 11:14

has to be my dads study, mess everywhere

hutchina1986 · 26/11/2016 11:25

My least favourite is my hallway as it's the darkest part of our flat and have to get torch out to make sure I haven't missed any

selloveday · 26/11/2016 11:43

I hate hoovering the hallway and stairs as they are so awkward to do.

lizd31 · 26/11/2016 11:52

the lounge is the worst as it's difficult to move the suite & the television & stereo stand.

EdKorho · 26/11/2016 11:52

Bedroom because there's so much junk to move

winitlady · 26/11/2016 11:57

My least favourite room to Vaccum is the front living room. It's the most used room of the house with kids and dogs toys all over the place. Dog hair sticks to the carpet and sofa. It takes around four hours to clean throughly as I need to work around all the mess. Wow yes please would Love a new vaccum as My one is on its last legs got no power in it.

bonners1 · 26/11/2016 11:59

Has to be the stairs...so awkward :(

shellywkd · 26/11/2016 12:09

Non tester it has to be my daughters room she collects all things Marvel and I have to move so many collectables before I can even start

jelleng · 26/11/2016 12:16

My teenage son's bedroom, it's just yuk

Tinker15 · 26/11/2016 12:21

My least favourite is the hallway as my dog moults like hair is going out of fashion & ends up with balls of hair that I have to try and hoover up.

waitingforgodot · 26/11/2016 12:29

The stairs-urgh! I need to do half the stairs then change plug. So annoying!

chrissie4 · 26/11/2016 12:35

The bedrooms if you can get into them

happysouls · 26/11/2016 12:37

Stairs! What a nightmare! I have 3 and 1/2 carpeted staircases in this house and they're all long staircases as well so really hard to drag the vac up there!

blondie123c · 26/11/2016 12:46

Least Favourite is the stairs!

beeelaine · 26/11/2016 12:46

The hallway - we live in a bungalow and the hallway is the worst its the centre of the dust vortex! vacuuming is fine on the carpet - but as I am doing it I always see tons of dust on the skirting boards so then i have to start doing that as well otherwise people will see though the glass doors that its dirty! haha - it should be a quick job but it always ends up taking ages with me on my hands and knees with the brush attachment on the shortest hose in history (vax air - thank god i dont have stairs to do)!

winterpark · 26/11/2016 12:50

We have a 3 floor house so vacuuming the stairs really tires me out :)

ang65t · 26/11/2016 12:53

the attic room its 2 flights of stairs to carry Henry up!

Amez2012 · 26/11/2016 12:59

Non tester - I HATE THE STAIRS!

ASHLEY91 · 26/11/2016 13:08

Non tester - My least favourite place to vacuum is the stairs, balancing the cleaner with one hand and vacuuming with the other.

judE99 · 26/11/2016 13:16

anywhere the dog has been, she never stops maulting.

rachelmi · 26/11/2016 13:21

I put off vacuuming the stairs. My hoover is way to heavy and cumbersome.
