This is the feedback thread for the 10 Mumsnetters trying the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner.

Non testers - we also have 5 handheld vacuums to be won - simply share on this thread what your least favourite room or place to vac is and you will be entered into a prize draw where 5 non testers will each win their very own Kobold VC100 handheld vacuum cleaner (RRP £129.00) Smile

Back to the test, the team at Kobold say “compact, unbeatably handy and extremely powerful, the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner is the ideal addition to your household, making life easier and cleaner.
Designed by global German household appliance manufacturer Vorwerk, the Kobold VK200, in combination with two different attachments, takes care of all your floor cleaning needs. Whether it’s carpets or hard floors – the VK200 Homecare System has it covered.
The unique SP530 DuoClean head allows you to mop and vacuum at the same time – a world first! It uses just 100ml of water to cover up to 20 m² of hard floor. And the best part? Simply remove the cleaning cloths when you’ve finished and pop them in the washing machine ready for next time.

“The EB400 brush head meanwhile ensures vacuuming is thorough, gentle and hygienic – driven by its own motor, a special rotating brush scans the floor 16 times per second and removes dirt and dust completely. Even the finest dirt particles do not stand a chance!

“Visit kobold.vorwerk.co.uk to find out more about the Kobold VK200 vacuum cleaner and discover the array of clever additional accessories that turn this machine into the Ultimate Homecare System! Simply click and swap to the attachment you need to expertly deal with upholstery, furniture, mattresses, textiles and anything else you need cleaned. Built to last, the Kobold VK200 is the only vacuum cleaner you’ll ever need”.

Non tester least favourite place to vacuum is the office, too many boxes, chairs to move!

glenka · 26/11/2016 07:38

Non tester, can I say the whole house, I just hate this job so much.

barbsbarbs · 26/11/2016 07:41

that would be my teenage sons bedroom, because despite my best efforts, a sock or a small toy will always clog up the pipe.

cheryl100 · 26/11/2016 07:49

I hate vacuuming my sons room because there is always so much stuff everywhere! Plus I am very likely to vac up some lego!

fzzzbucks · 26/11/2016 08:23

Non Tester: My least favourite room to vacuum is the playroom. Not only does it have lots of nooks and crannies, but my toddler usually comes in and tries to play at the same time, throwing toys all over the carpet making a five minute job much longer.

liane1987 · 26/11/2016 08:27

The stairs, such a pain!

Hertsgirl75 · 26/11/2016 08:30

My partner's office as he ever puts his stuff away!

Hertsgirl75 · 26/11/2016 08:31

My partner's office as he NEVER puts his stuff away!

hdh747 · 26/11/2016 08:46

The hall, stairs and landing. As well as the usual tussle with the cord and dragging the vac up and down we have a stairlift and it's really tricky to vacuum under the rail and around the supports.

AnimalAddict · 26/11/2016 08:46

The stairs, it takes ages and it's so awkward!

voyager50 · 26/11/2016 09:02

The kitchen - there are no kickboards under the units and I have to get down on my hands and knees to nozzle under them and get right up to the walls.!

mortimer96634 · 26/11/2016 09:08

Son's bedroom

MiserableMe1 · 26/11/2016 09:15

I hate doing the living room there too much furniture to move & its very awkward

jessycake · 26/11/2016 09:19

Non Tester , It has to be my daughters bedroom, I have to lift everything off the floor first and then there are lots of bits just big enough to trap in the hoover roller bars

Sallyannlloydjones · 26/11/2016 09:24

Hoovering inside cupboardswhere you have to move stuff out!

nigelh66 · 26/11/2016 09:29

The Bedroom, because I have to move everything around all the time to vacuum efficiently.

hiddenmichelle · 26/11/2016 09:38

kids rooms - too much stuff on the floor!

BizziLiz · 26/11/2016 09:51

Non tester - my least favourite place is the lounge, having to move the heavy sofa (that doesn't have casters) to get underneath, and moving the tv stand to get under that. I end up with arms like Popeye!

Ganne1 · 26/11/2016 10:01

As I hate vacuuming, I would have to say that my least favourite place to vacuum is the house!

maryandbuzz1 · 26/11/2016 10:03

I hate vacuuming the bedroom asI don't have much room to get round the bed.

laurapinnell · 26/11/2016 10:04

Non Tester

My least favourite room to vacuum is the kitchen, it has to be done at least twice to pick up all the little bits and bobs that just don't want to be sucked up!

Ohwoolballs · 26/11/2016 10:06

Non tester here :
My worse favorite room clean is our big living room which also has our dining table in it. I spend more of my time lifting things up to clean under! Maybe I need better storage Grin also anywhere I have brushed my hair, post pregnancy hair loss leaves me leaving tumble weeds around the house and I have to use the hard floor setting on our hoover to come the carpet to make hairballs I can hoover up! Yuk!

valbuk · 26/11/2016 10:12

Has to be the stairs, so awkward manoeuvering the vac, difficult getting into all the corners and edges and always concerned about tripping over the hose and wires

flozza42 · 26/11/2016 10:14

My older son's bedroom it's always so messy!

alibabbaskeggy · 26/11/2016 10:18

the kitchen! so fiddle getting into the crevices and corners
