Lounge is the worst. Have to pull sofas out and retrieve loads of toys before I can even think about turning the hoover on!

joanne070479 · 08/11/2016 18:18

I absolutely hate vacuuming the stairs. My back is terrible and trying to lift the hoover I've got up the stairs is a nightmare!

MiniMum97 · 08/11/2016 18:59

It's got to the stairs for everyone, surely!! Takes forever and so fiddly with a normal vacuum.

TenaciousOne · 08/11/2016 19:40

Non- tester - the whole of downstairs is my least favourite place to hoover. It take forever and then the dust bunnies are back the next day. I blame the dog. If I had to choose one room, it'd be the hall.

RueDeDay · 08/11/2016 19:40

Non tester... Has to be the stairs!! Hate vacuuming stairs!

2kids2dogsnosense · 08/11/2016 20:02

Non-tester - My least favourite place to vacuum is the living room. With three dogs and two cats it is an obstacle course of toys, biscuits and stuck-to-the-carpet hair. Every piece furniture has the moves and umpteen ping-pong balls, tennis balls, squeakies bits of paper and lumps of stray Bonio removed before I can start to hoover. And then there is the -piece, which despite having throws over it also manages to collect a nightmare quantitiy of hair, dust and crumbs.

Sickofthetantrums · 08/11/2016 20:29

Does anyone have a favourite room? Kid-spread, it's everywhere, Lego somehow gets everywhere (who thought letting them play Lego in the bath was a good idea, DH?) Socks, socks on stairs, chucked down the back of the sofa, abandoned in the most random of places. Shoes, immediately inside every external door, half way up the stairs, one in the bathroom, the other god knows where. Cat hair, mud, it's a nightmare! It's the thought of clearing a space to manoeuvre the vacuum into that makes the whole task seem insurmountable!

nadaley · 08/11/2016 20:55

Under any furniture of which there is lots. I must have deep cleaned once in 5 years 😂

Amaksy · 08/11/2016 20:59

Non testers - simply share on this thread what your least favourite room or place to vac is: The stairs, really difficult to get around so this'll come in really handy for having them done easily.

MadeForThis · 08/11/2016 21:03

My least favourite place to vacuum is the stairs. I hate having to balance a vacuum on each stair. And it's difficult to manoeuvre.

Princesspond · 08/11/2016 21:09

The stairs and the car!!!

DiggityDam · 08/11/2016 21:31

My least favourite place to vacuum is definitely the stairs, fighting with the ridiculously heavy dyson & the just-not-quite-long-enough hose. All the while blackmailing the 3 year old to both keep away and not 'help' and keep her sister occupied because she's scared of the sodding noise!

Maybe I just don't like vacuuming...

AmpleRaspberries · 08/11/2016 22:27

Non tester

I dislike the stairs, having to vacuum around the stairs gates whilst keeping the toddler from turning the vacuum off and dragging the wires and doing it fast enough so that the baby doesn't notice that I'm gone.

AnotherTimeMaybe · 08/11/2016 22:59

Non tester- my least favourite room to vac is entrance/corridor... Full of leaves, mud that even my dyson had enough sorting out!!

bicky · 08/11/2016 23:03

I hate hoovering my daughters bedroom, my two girls share a room and the 4 year old is obsessed with shopkins, takes ages to tidy all the little bits away before I Hoover,

happy13 · 08/11/2016 23:08

least favourite place to hoover is the stairs,I just find it very awkward,so as you can imagine the stairs get vacuumed the least.

Gumgardener321 · 08/11/2016 23:20

Least favourite is definitely the dining room as a right pain moving all the chairs & table& vaccing round them if you're doing a rush vac

kayleighp85 · 09/11/2016 00:05

I Hate hoovering the hallway with all the nooks and gaps for the leaves, mud and crumbs from my 5 little ones. The mud must walk in by itself and decide to move in with us as the kids say they didn't have mud on their shoes !!

Embolio · 09/11/2016 00:20

My least favourite place to vacuum is the playroom - place of crumbs and abandoned sandwiches, tiny lego pieces and assorted debris. Loads of tiny crevices that you can't get into properly with the vacuum, different surfaces - sofa, laminate floor and rug - and toys to gather dust!

cauliwobbles · 09/11/2016 05:01

The floor around and under my teenage daughters dressing table, the tumble weeds of hair (why do all 16 year olds think they have to look like bloody Rapunzel!) it's disgusting, then having to take a pair of scissors to the roller in the front of the Hoover to cut the hair which is all entangled and dusty BOAK!

Carriecakes80 · 09/11/2016 08:33

I hate the stairs. I had sciatica with my 3rd baby and ever since it has completely weakened my back, so lugging a heavy hoover up the stairs can be a pain. Would love a hand-held! :-)

LynseyH · 09/11/2016 09:41

I find the stairs really hard work, the pipe on my hoover isn't as flexible as it's supposed to be and it makes my back ache terribly.

Lyn29 · 09/11/2016 10:03

Non-tester
Since getting 2 baby guinea pigs I hate hoovering EVERYWHERE!! I keep finding hay, poo, soft wood bedding and to top that off my DD is loving cutting and sitcking everything at the moment.
My poor Henry hoover is constantly being dragged around my home and its starting to give up on me now..

StuntNun · 09/11/2016 10:13

Tester here.

How did the demo from the Vorwerk rep go?
Very pleasant. Charlie was easy to get in touch with and cheerful as he explained the ins and outs of the vacuum cleaner. He came across as genuinely delighted with the Kobold. Not the pushy salesman type at all.

What were you the most keen to try out?
The hard floor cleaning head. With children and animals tramping in and out of the house the floors get mucky really fast so we were constantly vacuuming and mopping the downstairs floors.

How were the instructions in the box?
I haven't actually read them yet because the demo explained everything but my DH was able to use the vacuum and the hard floor cleaner just from using the instruction manual.

What did the demo cassette bag show after the first use - are you surprised by how much has been picked up?
It was pretty terrifying actually. Three people in my family are allergic to dust so we had invested in an expensive vacuum cleaner and, to be honest, we were pretty happy with it. But despite the fact that I had already vacuumed the room just before Charlie arrived for the demo, the Kobold picked up an incredible amount of dust and detritus (see photo)... and I didn't even vacuum the whole room with it - just a small area. Charlie reckoned that the Kobold was picking up stuff from the floor that my old vacuum cleaner just couldn't reach and that the bag would fill up quickly at first until all the deep-down dirt had been removed. After using the Kobold once my living room rug and carpet actually looked visibly cleaner which I was very surprised at since they had already been vacuumed before that day.

I really love the way the vacuum cleaner hangs on the wall. I have it on a hook in my galley utility room and it hardly takes up any space. Now I'll have to find something else to put in the cupboard under the stairs!

I've tried to take before and after shots after one of my kids decided to throw apple juice and grapes over the kitchen floor this morning. One sticky floor was quickly sorted out with the Kobold hard floor head and I vacuumed/mopped the whole kitchen floor while I was cleaning up the mess. So quick and easy to use!
