Back to the test, the team at Kobold say “compact, unbeatably handy and extremely powerful, the Kobold VK200 Upright Vacuum Cleaner is the ideal addition to your household, making life easier and cleaner.
Designed by global German household appliance manufacturer Vorwerk, the Kobold VK200, in combination with two different attachments, takes care of all your floor cleaning needs. Whether it’s carpets or hard floors – the VK200 Homecare System has it covered.
The unique SP530 DuoClean head allows you to mop and vacuum at the same time – a world first! It uses just 100ml of water to cover up to 20 m² of hard floor. And the best part? Simply remove the cleaning cloths when you’ve finished and pop them in the washing machine ready for next time.

It has to be stairs. I live in a three storey house and lugging the hoover up and is a nightmare. Also hoovering all around the edges of the stairs is such a faff with a heavy hoover.

SugarMiceInTheRain · 09/11/2016 12:45

I hate doing the stairs, and my boys' room as they always leave little bits of lego, marbles and nerf gun bullets for me to navigate!

MrsFrTedCrilly · 09/11/2016 12:47

The stairs and landing too many corners too many places for dirt to lurk...

ErrrrrNo · 09/11/2016 12:55

Non tester here!
The dining room, I have a 2 year old and a dyspraxic 8 year old plus two less than well trained adults and we end up with a lot of food detritus in odd places!!

LittleBird2012 · 09/11/2016 13:21

Worst place for me to hoover is the lounge/kitchen, it's open plan and has wood flooring so for me I have to keep pulling all the furniture out and appliances to vacuum up the dust , It really irritates me not being able to get to those hard to reach areas where it's narrow and my hoover just does not get in those darn gaps! Besides this my son's room isn't much better either as it's a wrestle to actually see the carpet Hmm

Lulabellx1 · 09/11/2016 14:00

Non tester - the least favorite room is definitely the living room. With 1 dog, 1 cat and two kids... it's always really hard to get all the pet hair and fluff off! x

Saker · 09/11/2016 14:50

Non-tester
Gap between the speaker and shelves in the sitting room as the vacuum cleaner never quite fits.

makingmiracles · 09/11/2016 17:29

My least favourite place to vacuum is my car,it has too many nooks and cranny requiring different hoover tools and it's hard to access the footwells of the back two seats

StickChildNumberTwo · 09/11/2016 18:18

Non tester - I hate doing the stairs, having to balance the vacuum cleaner half way up then change from one plug socket to another.

ferret01 · 09/11/2016 22:55

Got to be the car. Never seem to be able to get all those annoying crumbs out of the carpet. Trying to manage the vacuum hose ends up feeling like I'm fighting the thing. Finally all the nooks and crannies....under and down the sides of the chairs is a nightmare.

Tantrictantrum · 10/11/2016 06:47

Kids bedrooms are the worst place to hoover as I can't usually see the floor!

greathat · 10/11/2016 07:34

The stairs! Eurgh! All that lugging it up and Balancing it and hoping it won't fall down

MrsFilthPacket · 10/11/2016 09:14

Tester here.

The Kobold Vorwerk has become my DH's new favourite thing (which is marvellous, as he has never shown much interest in housework before). He has vacuumed the whole house several times and is particularly impressed with how light it is, how quiet, the swivel head, and how it adapts going from carpet to hard floor. He also had a go of the cleaner/mopper last night and got very excited at the ease at which it picked up dried on cat food from the kitchen floor.

I think it has replaced me in his affections.

Uzma01 · 10/11/2016 09:18

Non-tester: I'd have to say the kitchen as part of it is a bit of a dumping ground and my husband likes to store the lawnmower there. So to do a decent clean - things need to be moved around, alot of things.

idesgarden · 10/11/2016 12:09

Has to be behind the toilet - such an awkward place to get to!

Non tester- Any room where my cats are napping causes mayhem when I vacuum. I always try to shoo them out before I start but they never take me seriously until I switch it on, then one cat just flips in terror and makes a quick getaway the other one tries to stare it out until it can't take it any longer then skiddadles! I wouldn't mind but much of the vacuuming is getting up their cat hair....nightmare😼😸

ginauk84 · 10/11/2016 14:18

Non Tester Least Favourite Room

Our utility room, the dog sleeps in there and the cats. Constant mud traipsed in from the garden, the dog dropping his coat everywhere. As soon as I vacuum I will go back in and it will be covered in hairs again! A handheld would be a godsend as I could keep on top of it more easily as it is such a chore getting the dyson out every day - it just doesn't happen!

Flower752 · 10/11/2016 15:45

Non tester. Can the Kobok Vorwerk be used on wooden floors too? I need something to clean vinyl, carpet and real wood, that would be really useful.

pinkunicornsarefluffy · 10/11/2016 18:29

non tester - the whole house! I hate hoovering. I need a new hoover that is cordless as that is the one thing that annoys me, having to unwind the cable every time.

lolapops1 · 10/11/2016 21:08

The crevices in the sofa - boh!

peakypie · 10/11/2016 21:12

non tester here. i have a small house so it starts to look messy quite quickly (that's my excuse anyway). it seems like I'm constantly getting the hoover out and what i hate is basically the hoover itself. it's a heavy upright and the attachment hose is not long enough so i keep pulling it onto myself when over reaching, so basically under tables, behind the sofa, on the stairs, down the side of the fridge...the list goes on...

kzedii · 11/11/2016 00:55

Non tester
worse place to vacumn is dining area as always end up with lots of crumbs and have to move chairs one by one.

goldenretriever1978 · 11/11/2016 21:58

Non tester - I detest doing the stairs.

Angwass · 12/11/2016 00:42

I dislike hoovering the stairs as it is awkward having the hoover at the bottom and pulling the cable to the top x
